Raising Turkey Poults with a Broody Hen

Soooo cute! I was fortunate enough to have my best broody hen who I had just recently set with duck eggs when my turkeys came in early, lol. So since I already have one hen who just hatched me 6 ducks, I turned those into bacon 🥓 and gave her the turkeys! She is so happy to be a mom already, lol! I just love my broody hens! 😂 so now I have 3 hens all raising something different! One I found with her own clutch already hatched in my boneyard, so there are 6 new chickens, lol. Then I had one on the duck eggs that hatched at the same time. And now in the same week we have 7 turkey babies under another! Broody hens are the best ❤!

Broody hens are absolute rock stars! I am about to see how one of my girls does raising goslings…She has successfully raised chicks, turkey poults, and ducklings. So I think she is up to it! I’ve always said if I gave that girl an ostrich egg, she’d probably find a way to hatch and raise it! 🐣
