No BS battlepass or pay to win crap! Hope they will realese pure game modes, so i don't have to go out every time it's capture the flag
I'd personally like to see game modes that make each life matter more - BBR follows a traditional arcade shooter format which results in each kill/death feeling a bit "pointless", especially in the largest player count mode. As people spawn in 5 seconds, it doesn't feel too rewarding to get a kill and you don't value your own life as much when playing. The other end of the spectrum is games like Tarkov, where each kill/death has so much impact and character progression to it. Not saying they need to go THAT extreme, of course. Battlebit is a game I dip into when I'm playing by myself and don't want to think too much - While that's a good niche, it's not the best for long-term player retention as the gameplay loop lacks any kind of deeper meaning.
I find playing with the drone really useful for flanking and countersniping, because you can instantly see the enemy team and then decide how to pick them off one by one without getting countersniped. Also if you put landmines/claymores on the drone you can use it against infantry, or with C4 against buildings or even stationary vehicles.
Yeah, I was considering whether to include the drone, but I don't run it and think rope is better, particularly as anyone on your team can share the rope. Rope would enable higher KPM play than a drone. Doing things like pieing corners and building good covers enables you to take enemies one-on-one without "wasting time" on the drone. Drone + mines is one of the worst loadouts IMO, it could be switched to situationally, but it usually takes way too long to pull off a drone attack for 1-2 kills on average, when you can get more kills by positioning with your sniper rifle and also still have two gadgets instead of zero (after the drone attack) to situationally use to help. I could understand drone instead of rope, but I would never give up c4.
@@Shaquille_Oatmeal_with_mayo You can only use short range scopes with NVG's in use, so if you're sniping, I would turn them on to get to my planned sniper spot, but once I'm there I turn them off to use my main scope. Players have glow-sticks on them to make them stand out a bit, so look for those and movement and you should be ok to find targets. If using Assault rifles, just leave NVG's on.
Not sure there's too much to distinguish all the classes - sniper is definitely the "odd one out" - I'd consider making a shorter guide on Assault maybe as I think it's class traits might be undervalued by some players
Idk, that's just a gun that does well with headshotting, which is pretty much any slow ROF, high damage per shot gun. It's not really the same as sniping, from a gameplay perspective

Appreciate this! I was disappointed when they nerfed sniper where it's no longer viable to hold a position for extended periods of time from long range without revealing your position even with a suppressor. This guide provides a way to adapt to these changes. One question: Do you think snipers should receive extra points for long distance kills on enemies holding objectives? This would incentivise guarding obj from a safe distance as opposed to picking off random targets. Let's say a sniper kills somebody at 200-300 meters on a point, they should get a bonus for that, on top of long distance rewards at 300 meters.
I wouldn't like to enforce only one style of play as the "rewarded" playstyle, in your example your most important thing to do would be to stop enemy snipers and mg's using vantage points over the objective, which wouldn't reward pts. There are plenty of recons who do enjoy sitting 500m away just countersniping all game, and whilst it's common to rag on them, it's always been a thing in battlefield style games for a reason!
I'm using the default keybind, which is the mouse scroll wheel (in either direction) - keybinds are quite personal so definitely change it if that feels awkward for you!
I'm really struggling with finding a sens that feels good for this game, has really been robbing quite a bit of enjoyment out of it for me, what sens and dpi do you personally use?
Hmm, there's quite a lot that can go into that and it's personal pref at the end of the day. Short answer: I use 500 dpi on mouse, in windows settings: middle sens with enhance pointer precision off, and in game 90-90 for hip and ads. I'll write down how to set sensivity as a guide. I can prob make a quick video covering all settings and things I know. I'm currently working on (and almost finished now) a KD guide, but I'll do that one in the future.
Oh that's awesome, I'll stay tuned! I've watched something similar before for other games or just general purpose, but for some reason Battlebit feels a little different, probably just me being weird though.@@ClippyTactical
You didn`t mention rangefinder. Do you guess the distance of your enemies? In the video it seems you are only fighting within 100-300 meters, which makes sense not to use a rangefinder, but if you are going for shots longer than that, I find it is really helpful.
*c4's behind you* Nothing personnel kid... Hilarous that you spotted yourself! I never check for myself in other people's videos but by now I'm probably in one of them too, good eye!
DMRs lack of a one hit kill option which means you'd lose to a good sniper. Dmrs are easier to pick up and do well with due to the fire rate, but snipers scale better with player skill, so over time you'd get more headshots with it and if you practice enough to get a godlike mastery of it (definitely not me xD), it's by far the best for supportive play. Dmrs are now better for exo helms though due to no one hit. Plus, it's just a game so use whatever you find fun at the end of the day.
@@ClippyTactical I think some dmrs can beat snipers at mid range because you can move and shoot faster. Plus no scope glint or bullet trail giving you up.
I think even after being a lot of downgrades Sniper like M200 with 4x is still a powerful thing if you have better map understanding and obviously good aim
I think that's a big difference now, with all the nerfs, the skill floor for sniping got a lot higher. An average casual player can no longer be effective at it. Using the best TTK weapon in the game is always going to be viable if your aim is cracked!
I personally don't bother with zeroing, in the video this is why I said to pick a rifle and scope and stick with it, you can learn over time how many mildots to use for long shots and horizontal mildots for moving targets at range. You're going to be much faster just sending a bullet and thinking "higher/lower" than using a range finder and adjusting, and over time you'll learn and know your scope instinctively. Edit: not using range finder and adjusting also means you don't take your eyes of the target if they're moving/evading you. It's one of those real life useful things that doesn't translate as well into video game land. In the vid theres plenty of 500m+ kill clips and that's with an unzeroed 8x scope, some with the first shot!
for snipers, the patch notes in 2.2.2 say: Snipers - Medium range scopes glint will be visible between 200m 800m So it's only at certain ranges they'll glint. But medium scopes work differently on snipers, DMRs and AR's. so you might have been looking at the same scope on an assault rifle which from what I understand, never glints. I prob need to make a mythbusters video on it though as it's really complex. Wish it was just 1 scope = same rules for every weapon.
I've debated this myself, and DMR's are similar on paper, but actually play very differently in practice. The key difference is snipers can achieve a consistent one hit kill, unlike DMR's (ignoring exohelms which DMRs are better against currently). DMR's TTK is a lot slower than a sniper, regardless of your skill with a DMR - a good sniper vs a DMR will have the sniper winning every time. Snipers scale harder with player skill is my point. If you're going to grind long term, you would keep learning how to be more lethal with the sniper rifle, whereas DMR's skill ceiling is less due to not having the one hit kill option to go for. Because you don't need to rely on your pistol and you don't need to rechamber the rifle each shot, positioning matters less too, they end up playing like a slightly more defensive M4 or AUG AR to me. I think this is why I lean towards sniper rifles - even though you're right, a DMR can cover the majority of the situations in this video as well.
@@ClippyTactical Amazing video by the way. When I'm not running M110 recon I'm normally w-keying behind the lazy sniper nests with a P90 to get a clean 5/6 snipers in one go. If they start chucking C4 at me next week and fighting back I know who to blame... It just struck me that you play the L96 like better DMR players in supporting their team. Getting a little elevation and cover and crisp 2-tapping to open a gap.
@@2ndnotmain yeah, scopes are personal preference but mid range scopes have some advantage for sniping. I personally prefer the higher zoom which helps me headshot easier at range, as whilst glint can give you away, the tracer lines and other nerfs also makes it quite easy to locate you now too. I started with 6x and wanted more zoom consistently, so I went higher. That's why theres a mix of 6 and 8x clips in the video.
That's always been popular in battlefield style games for a reason, it's not the most effective strategy but if it gives you joy then nothing wrong with it!
You know what I hate? If you're not sniping from a higher angle, you're instantly put at a massive disadvantage, meaning that ground stealth shooting (Which was already shit since they removed the grass fade around your scope) is now just asking to lose every shoot-out, even when you have the upper hand and can open fire without being noticed. Why? BBR team refuses to make bullets penetrate the same enemy, meaning that anyone that is aiming down sights, essentially uses their hand as a shield for their head and become immortal to you firing a M200 round directed at their skull because their Oakley gloves do a better job than helmets Now combine that with trails, the bullet whizzing/crack, middle range scopes glint, and the proliferation of overpowered DMRs, and you've essentially made it so every sniper that actually wants to support their team by sticking close to them, something other players always roast Recons for, is punished for trying to play the game.
All of these things can happen but that's why cover is the number one thing a sniper needs to seek. You will get some bodyshots unless you're literally aimbotting, but if you're in a position where hitting a bodyshot means you definitely die, that's under your control. You have the fastest ttk in the game, you just have to always be actively putting yourself in postions that let the sniper rifle succeed.
disadvantage of c4 is in my eyes that you are destroying cover and stairwells inside the buildings. i personally prefer the anti personal mines, they are better than the claymore for me. because the claymore is far more visible with the strings. i lay the mines often 2 floors down of that one i want to go in. i hate all players who use rpgs against inf and buildings...that is just annoying. rpgs is for vehicles. rpgs should only be available on big maps with vehicles.
I agree that mines are better than claymores in every way. I'd argue C4 is much more useful than mines, but if you prefer mines, they tend to be better with a more passive sniping playstyle where you're sitting around edge of map or near your spawn with 15/20/40x scopes. This style tends to lead to less situational awareness too which the mines can help with. About destroying stairs: that's a benefit to you! Remember you have a grappling hook to still access higher floors, and it stops most people sneaking up on you if you cut the rope afterwards.
Everything is great except you didnt teach anything about range finders and zeroing. Just press alt then scroll to adjust your zeroing to be more precise in any range you want to guys. Most scopes and sights has different zeroing ranges tho keep that in your mind
Thanks! The reason I don't talk about zeroing and range finders is because I don't use them. If you are sticking with the same velocity and scope zoom, over time you'll learn how much mildots to lead by for both still and moving targets, which is quicker than relying on a range finder and zeroing system. Zeroing is one of those rl mechanics I don't think translates too well to video games. If you prefer it however, great! Keep doing whatever works for you!
@@ClippyTactical I understand your point, in the early beta I didn't like using zeroing too. Since I started using m2000 and ebr mixed in my matches I started liking to have the option to both adjust my zeroing for my rifle and my muscle memory. Just wanted to left this option in the comments for any new player who might wanna check them out. Great content again
If there is anything that will make me log out of that game it's coward snipers hiding in the bush. This game would have 5 times the players if we took out this class of numpties.
An average sniper on this game is quite poor, if they're getting you multiple times it's time to switch up your approach! Try going for areas of the map with closer sight ranges, typically urban centres. Snipers, especially after all the nerfs, are not a reason to RQ!
I think snipers killed this game you hop on an it has 2kpeak player count on steam and most of those dude playing are snipers sitting in the back of the map just a brain dead class and I’m really happy batttlebit died off
The game is doing fine and isn't "dead", plenty of FPS games have similarly small playercounts and are doing fine like Battlefield 4 which I still play sometimes too. This guide is for more aggressive recon usage, which is not the same thing as the playstyle you've described.

In the vid theres plenty of 500m+ kill clips and that's with an unzeroed 8x scope, some with the first shot!
@@ClippyTactical you are a gentleman and a scholar sir, thank you!
I miss mid range sniping
It's still fine! Why do you think it left
Does the scope glint also appears on other weapon categories equipping 4x scopes?
nope - only snipers currently have glint on mid-range scopes
Sorry I don't understand English. one question, do you use a "shift" or is it not necessary?
I don't understand the question - can you try again?
As far as I was tracking, mid range optics don't have scope glint. Is this still correct, or did it change? Any response is appreciated
for snipers, the patch notes in 2.2.2 say:
Snipers - Medium range scopes glint will be visible between 200m 800m
So it's only at certain ranges they'll glint.
But medium scopes work differently on snipers, DMRs and AR's. so you might have been looking at the same scope on an assault rifle which from what I understand, never glints.
I prob need to make a mythbusters video on it though as it's really complex. Wish it was just 1 scope = same rules for every weapon.
Could you have done the same in these situations with an M110?
Is there a specific scope which avoids sniper glints?
No, short range dont ever get it and mid range scopes like ACOG only get it at certain ranges - but the high vis ones will always get glint
@@ClippyTactical so I could use a short range one and avoid it?
Can you make a Sniper M200 build?
Are dmr mid scope still got nerf like normal sniper rifle?
No - mid scopes only glint on snipers and they're only visible between 200m 800m distance
(Patch 2.2.2 notes)
@@ClippyTactical so now is more woth it using long range scope on those sniper then?
@@2ndnotmain yeah, scopes are personal preference but mid range scopes have some advantage for sniping. I personally prefer the higher zoom which helps me headshot easier at range, as whilst glint can give you away, the tracer lines and other nerfs also makes it quite easy to locate you now too.
I started with 6x and wanted more zoom consistently, so I went higher. That's why theres a mix of 6 and 8x clips in the video.
DMRs only have glint on long range scope (6x), currently. Lets see if baby-whining medic mains can force Oki to nerf the mid-sights too tho, lol
i prefer long range sniping "fishing" with m200 40x + rangefinder
That's always been popular in battlefield style games for a reason, it's not the most effective strategy but if it gives you joy then nothing wrong with it!
You know what I hate? If you're not sniping from a higher angle, you're instantly put at a massive disadvantage, meaning that ground stealth shooting (Which was already shit since they removed the grass fade around your scope) is now just asking to lose every shoot-out, even when you have the upper hand and can open fire without being noticed.
Why? BBR team refuses to make bullets penetrate the same enemy, meaning that anyone that is aiming down sights, essentially uses their hand as a shield for their head and become immortal to you firing a M200 round directed at their skull because their Oakley gloves do a better job than helmets
Now combine that with trails, the bullet whizzing/crack, middle range scopes glint, and the proliferation of overpowered DMRs, and you've essentially made it so every sniper that actually wants to support their team by sticking close to them, something other players always roast Recons for, is punished for trying to play the game.
My fix is to play on hardcore servers
That does work but I can't really add it to the guide, lol
