    Hi Chris, Easier fix for those bolts is to drill them all the way thru, use longer bolts and put Nylock nuts of them or double nut them. Oil, vibration and crap getting in between the slide and tube will work everything else including lock tite loose. I already have more than a dozen elevators and I'm bidding on a couple more at auction tomorrow night. After seeing my setups all my local firewood buddies are now using conveyors or elevators for their firewood. As for the wood scraps I'm looking for a "Corn Hog" it's like a wood chipper but it grinds corn so I'm hoping it will bust up the wood and bark. I do mainly ash so lots of bark. I have a wood chipper but the dry wood really wrecks the blades quickly.

  • @BW35bucket
    @BW35bucket ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Great job. The conveyor is more of a help then you could imagine. Putting a dab of lock tight on those bolts could help possibly. Be safe.

    Chris that is a nice elevator. Much better than our 40 foot Little Giant dual chain metal paddles. It was PTO driven, grandson purchased one of those China diesel motors for 200. I got it attached added pulleys. It's just noisy due to all the metal. Side note. I started typing this comment, how annoying it was Ad started and if I try to Skip Ad it props you to Keep Writing or Discsrd. I turned volume down. 🤣🤣

    I had that EXACT issue happen to me on my ultra about 20 hours in on a brand new machine. It's STILL giving me problems currently and it's super stripped for me. I torqued it down with loctite and everything. That bottom plate feels permanently wobbly for me and I have no idea how to properly fix it at this point. The first time it happened it actually broke the bolt in half. A fella at eastonmade gave me the specs of the bolt and I bought a few replacements. I broke one of those as well. Now it just constantly loosens up like what happened to you...😢
