I booked my trip not knowing the world cup would show up at the same time. Being able to surf the same spot with the world's best windsurfers is such an honor. Sailing the same wind gave me a much better understanding of how the tricks work. And It's the best motivation one could ask for! Before coming to Tenerife I was too scared to try a forward loop. But yesterday I did my first attempt. And today I was already close to doing it! The conditions here are very different from what I'm used to (the very stable wind in the Aegean sea, sandy beaches, no rocks). But seeing a guy with similar body and gear to me consistently do a double in the same conditions was the end of all my excuses :)
Really pleased for Marc and you, Ben. He's been through a lot and done so well to recover so quickly and you are making a habit of this Master's champion thing! 😃
