The wife needs a massive dose of self-esteem and self-confidence. A man who violently strikes you, will do it again either physically or emotionally (or both). She needs to find a career and make something out of herself. I don't think being a mother and housewife is enough for woman to feel fulfilled. She needs to find an ambition and career and also learn to be financially independent when the marriage breaks apart.
