What's your take on middle-eastern food?
yum!
Love it. Love the way they combine the spices in their dishes 😊
At least once a week, I get a roasted chicken which is served with fries, laid on a khubz. With that I order hummus with khubz. I also love the shawarma (with spicy pickled veggies), mushakal and falafel (alone or in a a mushakal). Those dishes you are showing look so good. Hello from Kuwait
They make a better kebob sandwich than the sweet sauce German version.
@@FreezyAbitKT7A Yes they do! Love the Turkish way of Donner Kabobs
Love your content🫶 All the food looked amazing. You both inspire my husband and I to get out and travel. Thank you 🙏
Finally! Sunshine & Good food again! :)
I used to work contracts in Saudi Arabia and had 35€ food allowance per day. I used to eat 3 shawarmas a day beef or chicken for 1.50€ total.
More money to use back in Europe 🇨🇵🇪🇺🇸🇦.
HA, I would do that too.
You wouldn’t be able to eat much in Europe for €35.
@@user-ub8fn5ek5u What? I've just bought 800g of prepared octopus for 10€ for Pulpo a la Gallega, and 700g of 12/15 prawns for 18€. Put together a whisky and cream sauce, homemade and it's a feast.
Maybe you can't cook, Angelina ? 🇨🇵🇪🇺
A potato fill, that’s funny that you say your first venture trying Tim Hortons is in the UAE.
I’m in Canadian, so when you come to my country, make sure you try a double double with the top rated donut of Boston cream. And also get a 10 or 20 pack of TIMBITS!
I'm fine with a dark roast with 1 cream, timbits work too
I was in Abu Dhabi from 1977 to 2000. At that time all the shawarmas were lamb served on kubis (Arabic flat bread) with tahini sauce and pickles. Two delicious lamb shawarmas would fill you up and cost just two dirhams (30 pence) each.
Looks very good. When I lived in NJ I eat at both Egyptian and Palestinian restaurants. Love both.
Those fried cheese balls look so good!!😋
That lamb and potato dish looked great.
New sub here D&P. Really enjoy your content. Glad you’re traveling again. Live your dreams. Cheers from Texas👍
Another perfect video. Thanks much. I am in Madagascar and now I need some Arabian food.
I visited Abu Dhabi in late summer back in 2018. It was brutal like 40C+ . Lots of german tourist like visiting there on holiday.
The desert looks really good I would probably like that and I love all the palm trees they're really beautifully shaped
I'm just so happy for you, being able to get out there to travel and explore the world again.
And eat everything.
my lovely germans in my arabic peninsula oh my god i loved your videos enjoy UAE it is a beautiful place !
unless you are gay or a foreign worker, then its hell
I can't believe how cheap that shwarma is. I would eat that every day.
United Arab Emirates is a rich country, relying high income from the oil industry, and cheap labour from poor countries. When the local economy drops within 10 to 20 years, the prices will change dramaticly.
Me too!! I luv 'em.
Fun fact is: You can find Jolibee in Europe, I did find one in London ;)
That's some well priced food you got there! Good value for money!
The food looks yum, definitely the cheese stuffed balls with the date sauce, wow!
Hi bro
I am from Egypt
Can we become friends
Everything looks soooo good. Thank you for the inspiration. I'll be on the hunt for recipes to try these dishes at home.
Safe travels🍀
In that region don't miss going to a market, Shuk/Souk.
Have had more greek food than anything else. Special Easter meal with lamb leg reminded me of your slow cooked lamb meal.
Hello Deana and have a nice weekend
Hey 👋🏻
Haha love the Tim Hortons 🍩🍁 representation in Abu Dhabi! ❤ I think i'm a big fan of saffron rice and any of the desserts with rosewater or pistachios 😍
That sort of sour cheese reminds me of Sulgini (the Georgian cheese used in Hatchapuri). I've had it in a pastry roll, deep fried, with Labneh fo dipping. So good.
Hi bro
I am from Egypt
Can we become friends
My mouth is watering after watching this video!!
Look so clean and tidy everywhere
Don’t forget it was a desert 🐪 before before they built skyscrapers
That chicken and rice looks amazing. Thank you for all your amazing videos ❤❤❤❤
Yummy, and prices of the meals are pretty good. That chicken meal in the USA would be around $15-$17.
Thank you so much for his video. I will be abu dhabi next week and this video is a Godsent.
I want to try those fried cheese balls too.
i love eating with my hands , my brother in law is from indonesie and he always eat with his hands
Usually when eating with your hand , you only use one hand not both
Deana and Phil, loved this video! Deana the sticky ,sweet cheese balls looked amazing,Phil did the shwarma have potatoes in it? 👍
omg sri lanka foods shops!my country!
I'm so glad you managed to shift back to travel and food videos. Always a great watch.
Fafafel, you could find it everywhere in EU, espeically in French-speaking countries.
Awesome
Are there any kabob restaurants rhere?
The karak tea is basically Pakistani/Indian chai/tea. You can also find it any south asian restaurant in Germany :)
Wow
Arabian street food reactions have been underrepresented on YT - you've hit a market niche. Haut alles raus, das Essen ist so saugeil.... 😍
The prices in Abu Dhabi for food are better than the prices in Europe
The sauce is sesame sauce (tahina) no Mayo there
Yummy 🥰
Dieses wunderbare Essen kann man auch zu Hause kochen. Das ist nicht schwierig.
Well, that's a bummer...
Love to hear the call to prayer
Those sweet noodles looked like spaghetti squash. Are they something like that?
Next time you are in Abu Dhabi let me know and I will show you more interesting places and restaurants 😊
Hahahahah! They are convinced that falafel had meat! That is onions spiced with sumac you guys! Very authentic Abu Dhabi experience! I lived there for 7 years
Wow! Now I REALLY want to try it!!!
Never had any like to try some though?
Phil Call to Prayer happens 5 times a day no more no less
😊😊
The water is absolutely beautiful but I would be afraid to go to the Middle East😢
The best thing about those middle eastern countries is safety! You can walk around feeling 100% safe, unlike in some western countries...
Unless you're a woman and show a bit of leg or, depending on the country just a bit of hair. Not so safe then. But, as they say, when in Rome...
@@uzul42 well not true, my GF walked around Dubai wearing shorts and tops, the same clothes she would wear in Europe.
@@extsaojose Then count yourself lucky. While the UAE seems to be in practice a lot more lenient especially towards female tourists than other Arab countries, they still have Sharia laws that allows them to throw women in jail for years if they dress "inappropriately". So if you encounter the wrong religious police officier who doesn't like your nose you really can get in trouble.
I so prefer Abu Dhabi over Dubai
Huh...is it safe to travel in the Middle East right now?
UAE, Oman, Bahrain are always safe, even better than US.
🌞♥️🚀
you can find jollybee in europe too, they have it in italy and uk at least... about the prayers, hm no, in Europe the clocktowers just give the time of the day, not the prayers time. Do you document yourself before making any video?
visit my country the Phil🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
Hi
Rough looking cat 8:04
Hi 👋🏻
23 degrees what? You’d need jackets!
Northern-eastern and western-eastern food is better
I thought Phil had to wear hijab there?
Looks nice but won't go due to there human rights issues
So funny you are in Abu Dhabi and you stop at Tim Thornton 😂😂 nothing Arabic there
Vegans and vegetarians take particular note of Mediterranean, Arabian, and Middle Eastern cuisine. Instead of highly processed fake meat and dairy, there's delicious healthy real food you could be eating. Explore Israeli, Arab, Greek, and Turk cuisines and there are enough vegan/vegetarian options, you won't miss meat or dairy.
I can't speak for everyone, but those cuisines you mentioned all seem to be very veg forward. My Jewish grandmother used to say that growing up, they only ever really had meat on Shabbat (Friday evenings) and on holidays. She said the rest of the week was veg, fish, rice, bread (her mom made homemade bread twice a week), etc were the main staples.
90% of what vegans eat are vegetables, grains and beans. We only eat the fake meats occasionally when we crave something we grew up with. We eat delicious healthy food most of the time.
Fuck "health", fat is happiness!!! 😂❤
Awesome
Safe!
dont use your left hand to eat in Muslim countries! you can tear food apart with both but dont use your left to put it in your mouth! because you use your left hand to clean your arse with! that is like eating doo-doo!
Do people not wash their hands?
These Middle Eastern countries are going to run out of oil soon and when they do they will fall into deep poverty and collapse😢
It seems like a dangerous country. Last choice on my list.
I'm sorry but the food looks gross and I do not like rice and I do not like a lot of spices😂
Ayıp ediyorsun Filistinde halk aç çocuklar aç susuz sen böyle bir video paylaşıyorsun 🤬👎
Free for Gaza 🇵🇸🤲
