Thanks Judi. Try it, what's the worst that can happen? You end up not liking the outcome and never do it again 🙂. Or you could end up surprising yourself, loving it, and tucking away this technique for future sessions. 🤗
So beautiful Clarice! I love your color combinations! Can you tell me what colors you used for the leaves? The color you called brown looked reddish in the center :) I'd also love to know the colors for the flowers, they are striking! Did you use Arches paper or Canson? Sorry for all the questions, but I'd love to try this.
Hi Laina, I used Canson Watercolour paper. For the leaves, I used the dark brown 'Sepia'. For the flowers I used the purple 'violet' and the warm red 'madder lake red light' (i think). I wish St Petersberg labeled their colours well. I've had these for 3 years and never bothered labeling them. Anyway, hope this helps.
hahahaha. I totally know what you mean. But most times you have to try things you would never think of to get interesting results :) Thank you, glad you like it
I thought this was a video about the filbert brush to make a flower? You didn't use it for the structure of the flower at all . You just used it for layering. Cope out really.
Love it'. Thanks Clarice!
I love that you emphasize “a painting” not a photo! Well done.
Those colors are amazing! Thank you for the tips with the Filbert brush! 🤩

This video was for folks who didn't have any idea how to use the filbert. And I was sharing how I use it. Little or lots, this was it 🙂
