My mom told me this story that a long time ago when she worked for the USPS in Pasadena she went to the Vons near the Mac Robinson Post Office for lunch and Smokie was there introducing a food product I think it was jambalaya mix or gumbo mix.....there were a few workers from the post office and the store trying to get pictures with Smokie, out of nowhere he calls out my mom and plants a kiss on her cheek....she goes back to work on cloud 9, I don't know how long ago this was...but to this day when she talks about it her face lights up so much it makes me smile
