I am looking for the Dean Smith biography that is in 7 parts. It was on youtube years ago and sctrojan12 posted it. It covered everything from his childhood years to his retirement. Seems like it was a Sportscentury video series. Does anyone know where I can find this treasure of videos of the GREATEST COACH EVER! Thank you very much!

What a great panel of speakers that Coach would feel uncomfortable with such attention. If only OLD Coach John Thompson, one of Coach's most closest friend. All of us would needed Kleenex to hear him speak as he knew he'd be in tears if had taken the stage, as he'd lost one of his most close friends. RIP

I knew Dean Smith as a leader for social justice, including opposition to the death penalty. When I asked for help, he gave it. It is little known that he would sign Carolina gear and donate to fund raisers for the National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty. I prevailed in an auction for a signed "Carolina Basketball Staff" shirt. I cherish it, along with memories of a great man and a the greatest coach the game has ever known.
