In water test part, I found Redmi note 5 pro is not waterproof. It is only splashproof.
My suggestion is : don’t try putting your Redmi note 5 pro into water. And if your Redmi note 5 pro got water damage, you should tear down the device and eliminate the moisture in it.

it's not true.... my Redmi note5 pro got totally damaged by just one drop of water, whole mother board got damaged

If this happens to you.. just put your phone in a rice jar. And put that jar in direct sunlight for 2-3 days..
And remember if ur phone turns off after getting wet then do not turn on the device ,just follow the trick mentioned above

I bought my Redmi note 5 pro a month back. It had some water on display due to rain and got damaged. Service centre quoted a figure of 12k which was stupid to spend for a 15k phone. So my Redmi note 5 pro is sitting at home and I lost my 15k. Don't know what to do.

False test, try with the jack up in the rain, the phone is dead.
I think this test shows us not everything because it has to plug the hole of the jack for not that the water enters.

Totally fake video.. My phone got dropped by mistake for less than half a second.. Yet it went off automatically and is not working since!
Redmi note 5 isn't waterproof... When you put in the water , the phone seem to be ok but if you look closely , you will know that there is something wrong with the screen/dead pixel or speedup shadow on your screen

Sometimes i clean my rn5p using water, last time it fails. My advice do not directly pour water, water may slips through.
