actually not. i'm new to drones, i own a mini and a air 2 which i just purchases. the mini signal get disconnected way too often, due to FAA its 400 meters or 1200/1300 FT, my mini get nowhere near it. it's a ridiculous height. the max i ever flew was 190 ft and it get disconnected and it land itself. the mini is light weight it doesn't hold up to the wind as good. the picture quality is ok. not good. but then again it's a 399/499 package. on the other hand with the Air 2 it's heavier, hold up to the wind better. but you have to register with FAA because it's over 250G. the camera sensor is bigger takes better picture. it record in 4K instead of 2.7K. but then again i don't think everybody would use their 4K feature. the air 2 is 500 more. to me i think it's worth it. this is just base on my own opinion. the mini is a great device. don't get me wrong. but i rather pay a little bit more for a bigger sensor and a better camera.
@@tonytan6822 Good asessment, I think the Mavic Mini is good if used as a compact Flycam which can be taken on family trips etc for quick and fun family air photos that is not intrusive or intimidating to others but if you want a true Drone experience with better height and distance then agree, other Mavics that are larger certainly is worth it but I personally don't enjoy flying around long and far distances so the Mini is perfect for me!
Kevin Masters that's also true. but the Air 2 have trace, if you hanging out with your friends and family at a park, BBQ out, you would want that trace feature. and plus the Air 2 has huge sensor in the front, like if you meant to crash into a house wall on purpose it wouldn't let you, but the mini would ram right into it. in my own opinion i think the Air 2 is worth its value because of all the sensor they have. rent one from best buy and try it out. i fly my air 2 way more than my mini.

I found a drone by holy stone that is 75 dollars on Amazon called the HH110D which has good wind resistance it goes about 100 yards up and 50 yards out and it has 1080p camera quality and can fly for 20 minutes each battery and it has two batteries that are rechargeable. I recommend it
How about the longest lasting drone, and part availability like replacement motors. I just had a Neheme outdoor honor drone that my wife got me for Christmas. I loved it for a beginner drone for a month and then one of the motors went out. Cant get a motor for it. ☹️
Thanks for the video. Thinking just getting a cheaper one for the trip. ID so get the more expensive version. But really less the half hour for 2 grand. Not interested. For that price id expect thermal and may be some sort of xray and maybe a attachment for stuff. like paint shooter or something lol. But really 75km/h with gps, you can go places even half hour. Deliver something lite. IDK about 4x zoom. Can you get a lens that make it better cuz it can go up high. I wanted to be that guy who walks around with a drone following him all day... Wonder if adding solar panels would do anything if it was designed on it on a future product..
I do agree with your recommendations , but increments which leave out the Hubsan Zino don't do that drone justice which in my eyes has the best value for money . ( And, btw, the 906 Pro does not have a three axis gimbal, it's just two axis.)
So you wouldn't recommend the mini se I don't think it was released when you made this video any input would be appreciated I just want a cheap starter drone if I like it I'll save for the fpv dji drone the black one that comes with goggles
Love the list you made but wish you talked more about the app features or what’s it like flying them. I bought a $100 drone off Amazon and when it’s windy the drone isn’t strong enough to fly properly.
What do you think about the f11 two axes gimble with built in electric stability at around the 150 to 200 dollar point? Gps of course. Foldable as well.
Yes the Anafi a great Drone plus very good after sales service .Now you have missed out one of best is the first DJI phantom 4 .Now i come to the drone thats for its price that beats every drone that you have spoken about and that's Yuneec H /or h pro for picture and movie quality after sales comes down to who you get on the phone here in the uk but DJI would need to drop ther'e prices to beat the Yuneec h
Most of the time I would want to use a drone would be flying over water. If I get one, I want it to be ok if I have to land it in the water and take off again or scoop it out with a net. I have seen some waterproof ones but the price was much higher. This just seems like a feature most people would want. Are there reasonably priced ones with this feature that dont give up on the other features?
Im wondering why you did not mention the Holy Stone 720G, which has image stabilization, 4K video with a two axis gimbal for $299. Perhaps you could talk about why you do not like these drones, because on paper, it looks like a good value. It would help me in my purchase decision to know what you look for when evaluating drones.
Looking to get one for my child. He has never had one. Need one that is easy to use. It stabilizes on its own. Easy to fly.. take images and so on. Need not to send too much its his first.. loves rc cars.. thinking he could handle a drone. What do you recommend?
I have typed drone model numbers and looked at specs and videos until I can barely think! I'm trying to decide on a non Mavic sub 250 gram GPS drone. I have it narrowed down to 4 drones. The eachine ex5 I found for $117. A mjx bugs b7 I found for $92 with 2 batteries. A visuo xs812 for $65 and a jjrc a353gw zw for $55. I have never flown a mini drone and all of these have points in their favor. Which of these drones do you recommend? I'm just basing this on reading the specs and watching reviews but aren't all 4 of these drones about equal? All are GPS drones that claim 4kish video without gimbals and have optical flow sensors with basically the same software bells and whistles. Unless one is a clear winner I'm thinking about getting both the xs812 and the a353 as the 2 of them together are basically the same price as the ex5 alone.
Is there a camera w/ transmitter that can be bought separately in an all in one type of package that you could recommend i have a couple real cheap and I mean grocery store cheap drones my wife brought home that were returned or broken that I've been swapping parts to make work they fly ok but image is junk any info would be greatly appreciated thanks
This is a great option. Cheap. You'll need a battery to connect it to and FPV goggles to see the image. Is this what you were looking for? amzn.to/2Ll5Rlf
@@HalfChrome thanks for the reply yeah I think that one would be perfect and has an awesome price thanks I saved it to my list I think I still have goggles somewhere if my kids haven't destroyed them lol

I am looking for a drone with no camera . I want something that is mid to large size so I can see it my intended use is for speed and air stunts what would you recommend thanks
I have a budget of 400 dollars but I want a big drone because I live in Houston and the winds are real strong and the small ones are dragged by the wind
Hopefully someone responds quickly...I'm in the market for 1st drond. Looking at the Mini DJI, decent price, and camera for money. I'm only using it for reference shots for my landscape oil paintings. Would it be sufficient for that? Sounds like it. I'm not making intros for ligit YT videos or nothing like that, not pro photography. Just need higher perspective on certain landscapes that I want to paint. Thanks for ANY feedback!
I'm not a huge drone guy but I love the footage you get from them, but 1 thing I never understood and maybe someone here can help me, why did the FAA choose 250g as the limit? Seems arbitrary, it can't be a huge difference between a 249g drone and a 251g drone. But 1 u need to register and the other u don't. I'm trying to find the justification for the 250g number that's all.
I know absolutely nothing about drones but saw an advertisement on the exo Blackhawk drone and thought it sounded like a good buy… can someone tell me if it’s crap or decent?
I don’t know… looks interesting, and I’ve never had or dealed with drones before. So I’d say done thong on the cheaper end that I can control with my phone. (Aka fly via its camera)

I found a drone by holy stone that is 75 dollars on Amazon called the HH110D which has good wind resistance it goes about 100 yards up and 50 yards out and it has 1080p camera quality and can fly for 20 minutes each battery and it has two batteries that are rechargeable. I recommend it
Holt stone huh?
tello for me is bad because there is bugs 7 and Overmax X-Bee Drone Fold One that gives more fly time and range and better camera
The dji mavic mini is really cool but I also recommend the bebop 2 it has a lot of stuff on it but it does need to be registered
That thing is so hard to find
I'm loving this rural town... what state is this in? looks like a peaceful and comfortable place to live.
Well you get brownie points for putting in a picture of Potillo's Hotdogs!
Yeeeeeeeeeeessssss!
Autel... no geofencing. Why wasn't this mentioned? Major advantage over DJI
Nice video , how about a Ruko F11
This is the best video I’ve ever seen. You did an amazing job. I highly appreciate that you made this video.
Thanks.
How about the longest lasting drone, and part availability like replacement motors. I just had a Neheme outdoor honor drone that my wife got me for Christmas. I loved it for a beginner drone for a month and then one of the motors went out. Cant get a motor for it. ☹️
Dji man.... you dominate the market? You become the easiest product to get parts for
Thanks for the video.
Nice video man really good quality. One question, what do you think of the FIMI X8SE 2020?
I do agree with your recommendations , but increments which leave out the Hubsan Zino don't do that drone justice which in my eyes has the best value for money . ( And, btw, the 906 Pro does not have a three axis gimbal, it's just two axis.)
The Zinos have terrible quality control. Very unreliable. I have one. It is garbage, I wouldn't recommend it.
Yes, it is a two-axis gimbal. I misspoke.
@@HalfChrome mine has no problem at all
So you wouldn't recommend the mini se I don't think it was released when you made this video any input would be appreciated I just want a cheap starter drone if I like it I'll save for the fpv dji drone the black one that comes with goggles
I got the dji mavic mini it the best but for noobs I recommend fury from sky viper it’s a good drone for beginners
what state is it that you are showig vidio from the DJI MINI in this video, like where that gazebo is ?
Love the list you made but wish you talked more about the app features or what’s it like flying them. I bought a $100 drone off Amazon and when it’s windy the drone isn’t strong enough to fly properly.
What do you think about the f11 two axes gimble with built in electric stability at around the 150 to 200 dollar point? Gps of course. Foldable as well.
It is ok. I prefer the bugs
i think that the Deerc D10 is the best for starters it is 50 dolloars and has camera it work very well
Haven’t flown it yet.
Dolloars
Awesome video thanks for making it 😀
Would of bought the mavic air 2 but It can’t cook unfortunately
I have dji mavic mini and i Love it!!!
I’d recommend the DJI Mini 2 for everyone. Slightly more than 400 bucks, but it’s just perfect for that price.
It is a fantastic drone
It could fly farther with a range extender
The “Syma 8X HG” link does not go to it. Is the 8XW the same drone? I’m a newby.
Hey chrome for me my fav video drone is tello spark and mavic pro. Basically the favorite drone for any one are the ones that he owns 😝😇
Very true
Good video with nice information at different price points. Thank you for this information and details on the drones, and thank you for sharing
Glad to help.
what about voyage aeronautics PA-1005 it’s only $50 at wal mart and 6 axis and hd cam to ur mobile device
Likely garbage
Most of the time I would want to use a drone would be flying over water. If I get one, I want it to be ok if I have to land it in the water and take off again or scoop it out with a net. I have seen some waterproof ones but the price was much higher. This just seems like a feature most people would want. Are there reasonably priced ones with this feature that dont give up on the other features?
Unfortunately there are not
wait you can fly the mavic 6 miles?
Im wondering why you did not mention the Holy Stone 720G, which has image stabilization, 4K video with a two axis gimbal for $299. Perhaps you could talk about why you do not like these drones, because on paper, it looks like a good value. It would help me in my purchase decision to know what you look for when evaluating drones.
Because it is the MJX Bugs 12 that is rebranded and more expensive. Also this is an older video and I’ve updated it.
I have the snaptain h823h mini drone :)
Thanks for the tips. I have the hs1100D.
What is a good drone for just flying it in the air and look at the city from up over
Dji mini 2 if it's not too windy
Looking to get one for my child. He has never had one. Need one that is easy to use. It stabilizes on its own. Easy to fly.. take images and so on. Need not to send too much its his first.. loves rc cars.. thinking he could handle a drone. What do you recommend?
Ryze tello
Your a Drone master, thanks for your information 👍
If the drones 5g will it work with my a10s phone or will i have to get a fpv mantor
Great.
Is there any drones that can handle wind? The wind blew my drone no matter how hard I tried to stop it
What drone would you suggest to be used in a more tactical environment? I'm looking for something that is a bit more rugged and relatively easy to use. Video quality isn't super important.
Mavic air 2
I am looking for a drone with no camera . I want something that is mid to large size so I can see it my intended use is for speed and air stunts what would you recommend thanks
Ideas please..
I want a drone that has good battery power above all at around £100-£300
Is the mavic mini worth buying in 2022
The mini SE is.
Check out my new video. What's the best drone for your money? - Drones for any budget in 2022
th-cam.com/video/TNZ01diQDbQ/w-d-xo.html
If i can not afford the mini 2 is the mavic mini 1 still a good enough option?
Yes
I have a budget of 400 dollars but I want a big drone because I live in Houston and the winds are real strong and the small ones are dragged by the wind
Xiaomi FIMI X8 SE is probably your best bet for a robust heavyish drone in that price range.
Looks like Portillo's on Randall rd.
Good eye. It is.
Can an FPV be used with any of these drones?. Specifically the mavic air2. And secondly can I use my own controller (tx16s) with the mavic air 2?
Oh great video by the way. Totally helped me know whats what and how much. Thank you.
You can’t interchange traditional FPV parts with camera drones
What stage is the rise tellas camera quality?
Hopefully someone responds quickly...I'm in the market for 1st drond. Looking at the Mini DJI, decent price, and camera for money. I'm only using it for reference shots for my landscape oil paintings. Would it be sufficient for that? Sounds like it. I'm not making intros for ligit YT videos or nothing like that, not pro photography. Just need higher perspective on certain landscapes that I want to paint. Thanks for ANY feedback!
The DJI Mini SE is better than the original mini and less expensive.

Not sure exactly why
@@HalfChrome thanks for the reply, I've been looking into it and I honestly can't find a straight answer as to why they chose 250g wieght limit lol.
I know absolutely nothing about drones but saw an advertisement on the exo Blackhawk drone and thought it sounded like a good buy… can someone tell me if it’s crap or decent?
It’s a rebranded drone sold at double the original price
I don’t know… looks interesting, and I’ve never had or dealed with drones before.
So I’d say done thong on the cheaper end that I can control with my phone. (Aka fly via its camera)
good revview good you replace the SG 906 MAX because the photo qualty was less the a tello! and video almost the same even its 720P the bugs its really better, (searching to replace my tello without taring my wallet.
10:04 My home was right behind this portillos there’s sams clubs and Walmart right next to it 1020 S Randall Rd, Elgin, IL 60123 it feels so great to see where I used to live out of nowhere in your video. I will SUBSCRIBE just for that tbh👍
Heck yeah!
I got rid of Mavic pro for Parrot Anafi. No regrets!
Just got the Ryze Tello drone off a eBay win can’t wait to to use it
Awesome video man, super insightful!
I just bought my first drone. Only 6 min flight time for $48 bucks at Wal mart. And that's how it begins 😂 I def want to ugrade soon.
Thanks. That’s how it starts. Good luck
Just need something with tracking and has 4K video
What is the best drone for me? I don't use any modes. I just want to explore as far as I can and take pictures from the sky. I've had a Upair One and Roku F11 Pro. Neither have the range I want.
You want the Mavic air 2s
Do you have a link to a video of the same type as this one, done in 2022, as I know of a few more option that are between $200 and $400 now that may not have been available in 2020.
I have a 2021 video linked. I’m in the process of testing some drones for the 2022 video.
Where is this filmed? I love how the neighborhood and surroundings look like.
They remind me of a some kind if huge insect or animal when their flying
That was my grandfathers cattle barn with the silos. He raised 300 cattle at a time in Pittsboro, Indiana back in the 60's.
