This is such a random video and it amazed me when it came up on my home page. I worked at KRIS in 1976. My very first TV job. Was 1st class FCC ticket. Then Production with news at 10 and Directed the Saturday nights Wide Scream Theater. I will forever appreciate the great start I got. I retired in 2012 after a forty year career that wound me through the all kinds of productions, a full tour with the band "RUSH", the N.B.A. N.A.S.A. and finally Disney. The fondness I have for Corpus and the Area stayed with me to this day. Thank You KRIS TV. You pushed me down the hill for the greatest ride of my life!
My grandfather, Charles Nethery, is in that first photo on far left side. Retired from KRIS TV in 1976. Came with T. Frank Smith, Sr from Houston to start KRIS Radio.

Congratulations
I miss the Pro 6 News newscasts when Chuck Machen was the anchor.
This should bring back memories then. Do a TH-cam search for "13 Country jingle". WOKR in Rochester used the old Pro 6 News theme song in the 70s.
