The VMax4 of Bender’s was heads and heels more powerful than the rest of the field in the FIII. His race ignition was missing because of the camera video equipment interfering with it on race day Sunday. That’s why he bowed out. His crew figured it out after Eagle River and built a shield to go around it. 2 weeks later when they had it running right he won the World Series of Ovals in Antigo, Wi. By 5 laps. I was there that day and I know Yamaha’s race director personally.
Its wierd because I'm 13 years old and I have raced this track and when you do it you never realize that all of these big names in the sport also ran the same track pretty cool
Shane Wahl is absolutely one of the greatest racers of all time to come out of rural Greenbush, Mn. A real modern day Brewster Baker. He also claims to always have great WiFi.
The 20 min. mark , the Jag killer Indy Trail deluxe E -stock. Ron Kehl still Racing in Vintage. The last year for performance rated racing. It was all cc and carb size after this. The good ole days.
Wow stock C winner is nun other then Lanny Benoit, the now famed deer tracker considered one of the best in the world. I recently watched an interview with him where he said he used to race snowmobiles and won a lot! What a life!
We went in the late 70’s we lived on KI Sawyer AFB in the UP of Michigan. My god, the snow we had then. My family had a 440 Exciter and a 340 Enticer.

Why did they stop racing these twin track sleds? They seem so much faster than current day production sleds.

I remember running against him in the late 80’s, North American Championships in Schroon Lake, he mopped the floor with us in 3 classes. He was fast!
@@linkbelt111 He sounded like a bit of braggart during the interview I watched, but as they say "it ain't bragging if you can do it!"
@@vicktdock He like us because we had skied a lot in his home state of Vermont and knew how to properly pronounce his name. LOL
