  • Operation Hummingbird is our investigation into the murders and attempted murders of tiny, vulnerable newborn babies at the Countess of Chester Hospital.
We wanted to take you behind the scenes of this heartbreaking case to highlight some of the key roles involved in this journey and to show the level of care, commitment, detail and dedication given by the investigation team.
This case has been complex and sensitive and we know it has been challenging to follow. It has been running for a number of years and has been in and out of the spotlight. Since the conclusion of the trial last year, a court order was in place limiting coverage of this case - in order to ensure a fair re-trial. Some of you may have seen a version of this video before, we're now able to re-release it with some updates following the conclusion of the re-trial.
This is the last update we will be issuing for Operation Hummingbird. Our thoughts are with, and always will be with, the families affected.

I am so glad you uploaded this again! You must keep it on youtube forever if possible, so many people still think she is innocent and it beggars belief. After 4 years investigation, 10 plus months of court, jurors, detectives, the families, the evidence I find those who find her innocent are insulting everyone involved
Well done to all in operation Hummingbird 👏 ❤

Me too! Dovetailing with what everything you said, I think that the reason Beverly Allitt and that Canadian nurse who murdered elderly people in nursing home is because what Letby did is SO horrific and beyond evil (this is certainly not to minimize the horror of the crimes of those other”nurses”) it is almost unfathomable. Plus, she doesn’t look the part. Sadly, people still equate physical beauty with goodness.

@@chynnadoll3277 'The halo effect' Sadly we all use it to a certain extent, might even be part of the reason she got away with it so long.

Well done Cheshire Police for all this tireless painstaking hard work to every one of you Officers and medical experts involved in this very complex case. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your dedication in solving this case and bringing justice for these poor babies and their families. Otherwise this woman would have just carried on. You should all be very proud of yourselves and have a huge pat on the back for first class Police work. You stopped LL in her tracks. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
May these little innocent angels now RIP and their parents be able to begin their path to healing. 🕊🕊🕊✝️✝️✝️🙏🙏🙏 our thoughts are with them.

Sort of "Explains" how they got the convictions. Thanks for posting. This video will become more in the future when the mass hysteria dies down, and the nation returns to its senses.

Me too they're victims of their daughter as well although they won't be able to identify within themselves as victims therefore they won't ever be able to start coming to terms with the fact that they created such a sadistic and deeply evil bitch

Yes me too, unimaginable 😞 and at least their daughter now gets a degree of safety/isolation in prison, whereas they have to try and pick up their lives in the outside world where their names and photos are public knowledge. I can’t imagine that LL will ever decide to talk about this, much less confess to anything - but I feel that she especially won’t whilst her parents are still alive.

I’ve been following a channel called Crime Scene 2 Courtroom, he has so many transcripts of the court proceedings AND went to one or some of them himself, I’ve found it fascinating to hear the words directly from her mouth. The “Freudian slip” video is chilling

My heart just breaks for all the families. I literally have no words. Here in the States, depending what State, she would of gotten the Death Penalty. She is truly a monster.

This was an excellent documentary and just one more example of the naturally brilliant decisions by the Cheshire Constabulary. I particularly like the gender ribbons at the end, a gentle respectful way of honouring those babies affected by Ms. Letby. Thank you for posting it, please let it stay on TH-cam - people will need access to this for a long time!

Thank God she was caught when she was but I think her previous placements before she was at chester hospital should be investigated to find out if any babies died while she was on shift cos I don't believe chester was the first time

Well done to everyone involved in this harrowing case. Putting a murderer away for life that means life has got to be a great feeling yet one that you all wish didn't have to happen at the same time. My thoughts go to the families of those precious, innocent babies, my thoughts also go to those of you who had to deal with gathering the evidence in these cases. I couldn't possibly think of a worse thing to go through, having your baby attacked in this brutal way has got to be the worst. If only our justice system was still an eye for an eye kind of system..............

I still don’t understand why she would do this 😅 it’s just crazy

    • @missperfectfeet
      @missperfectfeet หลายเดือนก่อน

She murdered and attacked babies over a long period of time, there isn't a single motive. A common motive amongst nurses that kill their patients is to reduce their workload, another is their dislike of their patients, and she fits the psychological profile of a poisoner and a need for attention.
