Ryan Nemeth says this yet he went out of his way to make a comedy act show mocking Punk’s injury. The bigger situation is someone told Ryan to antagonize Punk. Why? If they were not having any program together and they were not cool so what for.
A wrestler getting paid to stay at home should absolutely love it. A nice long break to totally heal up, and each day at home means an extra day added to your wrestling career (as long as you stay in shape during your holiday)
No ring rats in your front yard though. Think about it, if Tony Atlas got paid to stay home he would have to start asking the postman or the head of neighbourhood watch to stamp on his face while wearing tennis shoes.
Toxic Punk went nuts. One of his equals and fellow professionals just made a silly tweet about him being the weakest softest person on the planet, which btw is true, and this idiot yelled at him like a big stupid baby over it. Another great episode to enjoy while at work. Thank you, Dutch and James. Also, Dutch, if you'd want to take a shot at producing an audiobook, ACX (it's part of your Amazon publishing) can help you with that. James could even be the producer to record it. I've done it twice with my novels.
Danhausen was a missed opportunity for them in terms of exposure. Dude got himself on Conan's podcast when he was still on tbs and loved him. They didn't even promote the appearance. Starks neck was broken they added injury time on and picked up an option when he asked not to. That was petty. Keeping a member of a tag team when your company doesn't have established teams just thrown together ones for what purpose?
Jim Crockett Promotions had a ton of titles around 1986. Off the top of my head they had the World, U.S, TV, National, Western States and World Lightweight Championships. Not to mention the World, U.S and National Tag Team Championships.
No the NWA had all those Championships, JCP only had the The World championship, U.S. Championship, T.V. Championship, the Tag Championship and the 6 Man Tag Championship. All the other promotions had their own championships as well and yes sometimes they crossed over for shows but they were their own championship.

HOW DARE Ryan Nemeth do business the right way! he should be horsewhipped for doing it the right way...... Nah Dude, Phil Brooks is just softer than a tub of butter that sat out on the counter overnight.
Ryan Nemeth and Colt Cabana issues are hilarious to me as their production and quality in AEW were very low. From quality of matches to quality on mic. I’d have to imagine that Tony Khan put them in a more trouble than they are worth column when not using them. CM Punk was less trouble than his worth until they decided that line was crossed. It’s pretty simple really.
So now the women have 6 main roster titles while the men who there is at least twice if not 3 times as many wrestlers have 7 (if you count the Speed titles). Yah, too many titles for the women. What are the odds their IC or US titles ever get defended on a PPV now that most of them only have 5-6 matches?
James have you ever asked Dutch about in 1997-99 Doug Gilbert and Tommy Rich were on Memphis tv and Doug started ripping into Lawler and shooting on him
Has Dutch completely missed the point as to why fenix wouldn't be exactly over the moon about being stuck in a contract at aew while not being used? His livelihood is wrestling at a professional level. Yes, he is very fortunate to be paid well, but i assume he would like to continue to be paid well after his contract with aew is up. Being hidden away in Tony's drawer of forgotten toys means less exposure of his brand, less practice in front of a live audience. i can absolutely see why guys who take their profession seriously like fenix and starks wouldn't be content to just sit on ass and get paid while any buzz about them slowly fades. anyone remember Miro? He may be getting paid to hide in a Bulgarian bunker, but his value as a wrestler has tanked over the last year/year and half, that's what fenix and starks want to avoid.
Imagine calling Punk the softest wrestler ever, on Twitter of all places, then not being man enough to handle his business when Punk confronts him. Clear and obvious projection from a guy not worth a single damn in the wrestling industry.
Imagine being SO SOFT that you threaten someone for using Social Media to start a storyline/feud in a business where 99.99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% of all Storylines/Feuds are started on Social Media. I mean Phil Brooks is softer than a tub of butter that sat out on the countertop overnight.
@ Well if it was meant as a storyline then this just wouldn’t have happened would it. What you’re describing is a guy going in to business for himself then melting like the butter you described when confronted about it. None of what Ryan said had any indication that he was trying to start an on screen feud with him and if he was then maybe he should *check notes* work for the million years it would require to get on Punks level.
@@paulstdavis He was told to do it because they were starting a storyline with it, and then Punk got his panties in wide, Whether or not Punk knew or was on board with the storyline that's NOT on Nemeth to make sure of, that's above his pay grade.
Don't start none. Won't be none. Ryan Nemeth tweeted Punk was "the softest man alive." Got called out by Punk in the locker room. Bitched out. Got exposed as a coward. Cried. Go away
Whatever CM Punk's beefs were during his first WWE run, all of it came full circle in AEW, even to the point where they literally gave Punk his own show. He learned his limitations, and I suspect that is a big reason why he is now acting like an ideal employee for the WWE. Many times, people do not understand what they have until they're dealing with something that's far worse in comparison.
Also have to keep in mind the workplace culture. AEW by most accounts is all over the place, the inmates running the asylum and a lot of traditional wrestling values are seemingly not respected? Guys like Punk and Regal were often rubbed the wrong way by the attitudes of many people in AEW. The WWE seems to suit the way they were brought up in the industry more
The women dont really get enough tv time to support the division as is. im not sure how they will work in another title for it. maybe netflix is lookin to add a womens only show to get them more time in the future or something.
Ryan going into business for himself, and trying to shoot on his own work, while not telling Punk, then Punk confronts him, and Ryan runs to legal is like Gillberg trash talking Steve Austin circa 2000.
If all of AEW can go all of 2025 without a cm punk mention ill actually start watching the show. That includes the rosters statements online. He has been gone for like 2 years, this is pathetic.
Just want to say was a good episode so far and dutch made good point too many belts now is disscussions to be had but in genral agreed. Just wanna say Dutch had his illness again like we all know ofc but wanna mention hes come back with real vigour and passion, I dont watch bloody wrestling anymore I watched all this podcast, just wanted to say dutch come back strong is all, enjoy all of the story time but seems the ole dog just come back running is all, if people know what i mean, I feel like im disprespecting the cast by saying that, this is the english in me coming out oh sorry ole chap. Anyway just love that they back and giving us good content, thanks James and Dutch, they best pairing in wrestling casts for me. Anyway some really good dicussions this week i thought, one of the best they done so far, Im half way in....
They’re gonna have like 20 women from nxt advance to raw and smackdown in the next two years, they do need the belts and this way the more veteran performers can be 2 or 3 time champions by the time the roster grows up. Having two new women’s belts might be too much now but they meed the women to tell more stories than just tag-team and the one ladies belt, and tag-team is shared between brands. But there’s seriously gonna be like 20 more women on the show before too long and I think they want to invest in that.
Let me get this straight... Ryan talked shit on social media, not a private message that leaked. He got confronted He ran to HR and cried. Well someone is the softest wrestler alive in this story and it ain't Punk.
so Lemme Get this Straight... the Dork Was Running his Mouth, Got Checked/Confronted About it, Now he's Claiming that's "Bullying"... nemeth is Softer than Charmin
I think the decision that WWE stays PG was made by Nick Kahn. Because when HHH talked about the Netflix deal he said that it allows them to do more without any worries if it is advertiser firendly. And he said that with a smile. And now they don't want to change anything of that, even on Netflix?? I don't expect them to go all weird, but at least something in that direction. I'm a little disappointed!
Punk started on 4 big dudes at survivor series, we shouldn't mess with him, people. They were in a cage admittedly but jacob fatu, solo sikoa, jacob fatu and whichever of GoD it was are big scary dudes
lol 8 titles, midcarder belts.. everybody is a winner, must be a generational thing with AEW.. either way, they can't have cruiseweight belts, their whole promotion are cruiseweights.
Doesn’t it seem a bit odd that you’d contact legal about bullying when the alleged bully is still months away from returning from injury? If he reached out in April, that means the dude talked sh¡t then ran for help before Punk even had a chance to confront him.
9 belts between each brand: Tag belts: the drama belts. No ranking per se and all feuds are drama. World Beltt per show. A secondary, and an internship belt, used so you can hop between shows and vie for the secondary belt. That is the only way other than draft to jump shows.
Ryan does have a point about CM Punk, he is soft. People could call Ryan soft for getting upset with Punk going after him over a post. But Punk is just as soft... You have to act or talk to Punk in a certain way to not offend him or he easily gets pissy. Who would wanna keep dealing with someone like that. Punk would wanna quit or complain if things don't go his way.
What are you talking about? Dude talked crap behind his keyboard and punk went to his face in private to talk about it and then dude ran to HR. There is only one “soft” person in this story and it ain’t cm punk.

Griff Garrison hit him up for advice in the hallway and Punk told him "I don't for time for kid, get out of the way", He bitched in a promo that "Youngs like Hangman never come to me for advice" like hangman is a 20 year old newbie, When in Reality Hangman is 34 years old, has been wrestling 18 years, has been a World Champion all over the world, has had more actual matches than G. Ima. Punk and was the current AEW World Champion..... WHAT THE FUCK COULD PUNK POSSIBLY TEACH ADAM PAGE? Punk expecting Page to come to him for advice on wrestling would be like Barry Bonds expecting Aaron Judge to come to him for hitting tips, Man GTFOH with all that.......
Nic Nemeth is going to have a talk with his brother Ryan lol.
Jack Perry has personality is an increibly unusual take
Jack Perry is a teenager who thinks everything he does is super epic, but everyone else is just cringing at him
@Warpenguin55 this actually sums it up perfectly
Is Nemeth picking up his beef again with Punk from a couple of years ago? Nemeth is worthless - vanilla as it gets. I groaned when I saw him turn up in TNA but even the head honchos there couldn't give him a serious push and they will push ANYONE who comes out of WWE or AEW.
Dolph Ziggler's jobber brother ran his mouth and suffered consequences.
To quote another AEW antagonizer "cry me a river"
Thank you James & Dutch! My favorite show. Much love & respect!
So Ryan was goaded into antagonizing Punk and is claiming harassment from Punk because Phil retaliated.
Is that what I'm gathering?
Toxic Punk went nuts. One of his equals and fellow professionals just made a silly tweet about him being the weakest softest person on the planet, which btw is true, and this idiot yelled at him like a big stupid baby over it. He doesn't have that right, not in the workplace, that is not allowed anywhere. Who does CM Punk think he is???? Some big star who can scream at people??!? I hate him, I hate him, I HATE him
@@SuperWamJakeIn what delusional fantasy world is this Ryan Mcwhatshisface CM Punk's equal? The most common response to this drama I've seen was "F'n who?" Another great episode to enjoy while at work. Thank you, Dutch and James.
Also, Dutch, if you'd want to take a shot at producing an audiobook, ACX (it's part of your Amazon publishing) can help you with that. James could even be the producer to record it. I've done it twice with my novels.
Nice
@Leo91M yeah, I've been self-published thru Amazon for a minute. It's had some good moments.
Dutch and Stevie drops on the same day??? James, you are the man! Nice start to the weekend. Peace!
Glad your feeling better dutch love the show wishing you the best from Newcastle,England 😊
When was Britt ever polite? I will never forget her issues with Thunder Rosa, apparently it was even on the AEW Backstage show.

Ryan Nemeth never drew a dime!
Doesn;t matter what he did or didn;t draw. Nemeth used social media to start a storyline/feud in a business where 99.9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% of all storylines/Feud are started on Social Media. HOW DARE Ryan Nemeth do business the right way! he should be horsewhipped for doing it the right way...... Nah Dude, Phil Brooks is just softer than a tub of butter that sat out on the counter overnight.

@TherealOC that's not how feud and business works lol

I'm sorry but Britt does this to herself.

Cm Punk is the only thing interesting about Aew and he's in Wwe lmao 🤣 😂
Aew is literally finished
Dutch was working for Smokymountain wrestling in 1992, He came to wwf in 1996, Mel philips was long gone by then.
Gee its almost like punk was right about everything
I think Orange Cassidy's hands in pocket gimmick is taken from a character from the fighting game Rival Schools who did the same.
I get out of work in an hour perfect timing
Seeing dutch laugh at something james said just makes me so dam happy
I gotta say Dutch when you were with Bradshaw in the early part of the 90s you had some kick ass fucking hair, bro
I’ve always liked more belts I get it dulls the other titles especially the Midcard titles but the World/WWE titles will always be prestigious
One upshot of this Nemeth story is that I find it hard seeing Nic Nemeth going to AEW when he decides to stop playing in TNA and the indies.
16:44 Nemith assumes any and all his complaints against Punk should've been handled the way Nemith wanted?
The Nia Jax situation was easily fixed by the commentators by saying that there's a fine for hitting someone in the head with a chair
The speed division is fun to watch.
I always give it a thumbs up before the episode ever starts
So now the women have 6 main roster titles while the men who there is at least twice if not 3 times as many wrestlers have 7 (if you count the Speed titles). Yah, too many titles for the women. What are the odds their IC or US titles ever get defended on a PPV now that most of them only have 5-6 matches?
Mel Phillips was gone well before Dutch came to WWF in 1995.
James have you ever asked Dutch about in 1997-99 Doug Gilbert and Tommy Rich were on Memphis tv and Doug started ripping into Lawler and shooting on him
It’s funny Ryan mentions Maga’s name, Punk’s name, BUT “AEW” wanted him to…
also don't forget WWE also had the European Title as well.
If they could capture a little of this backstage drama on tv, Dynamite wouldn't be complete trash.
Dutch & James ❤
I bet Nya starting War Games was the boss testing to see if she could handle it.
that is plausible
You have the face of a welders bench Dutch 😂😂 18:24 dutch wants her address
" Over 14", savage james is my fave 🤘
33:40 you can be advertiser-friendly and still not mute the entire show whenever there's a "holyshit" chant.
This isn't the 1950s. Ffs.
Airing of grievances. WTF, does he think this is Festivus?
Don't start none. Won't be none. Ryan Nemeth tweeted Punk was "the softest man alive." Got called out by Punk in the locker room. Bitched out. Got exposed as a coward. Cried. Go away
Whoop Whoop
I liked Corin Nemeth as Parker Lewis Can't Lose
If all of AEW can go all of 2025 without a cm punk mention ill actually start watching the show. That includes the rosters statements online. He has been gone for like 2 years, this is pathetic.

Anyway just love that they back and giving us good content, thanks James and Dutch, they best pairing in wrestling casts for me.
Anyway some really good dicussions this week i thought, one of the best they done so far, Im half way in....
In the words of Joe Hendry
His Nic Nemeth’s brother
The End
They’re gonna have like 20 women from nxt advance to raw and smackdown in the next two years, they do need the belts and this way the more veteran performers can be 2 or 3 time champions by the time the roster grows up. Having two new women’s belts might be too much now but they meed the women to tell more stories than just tag-team and the one ladies belt, and tag-team is shared between brands. But there’s seriously gonna be like 20 more women on the show before too long and I think they want to invest in that.
Let me get this straight...
Ryan talked shit on social media, not a private message that leaked.
He got confronted
He ran to HR and cried.
Well someone is the softest wrestler alive in this story and it ain't Punk.
The guitar section in your intro theme always reminds me of the last of us for some reason lol

We could consider punk was guilty as charged because he tried real hard to get fired to go back to wwe
heck james, in january THIS year, 2024, they topped the 1mil mark in ratings. lost 40% audience in 9mos.
Punk started on 4 big dudes at survivor series, we shouldn't mess with him, people. They were in a cage admittedly but jacob fatu, solo sikoa, jacob fatu and whichever of GoD it was are big scary dudes
Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa
@unknownsample4801 yes, but I couldn't remember which one started and which stayed in the cage which is why I didn't specify
lol 8 titles, midcarder belts.. everybody is a winner, must be a generational thing with AEW..
either way, they can't have cruiseweight belts, their whole promotion are cruiseweights.
Will you guys be getting Kenny Bolin back on soon?

Doesn’t it seem a bit odd that you’d contact legal about bullying when the alleged bully is still months away from returning from injury?
If he reached out in April, that means the dude talked sh¡t then ran for help before Punk even had a chance to confront him.
9 belts between each brand:
Tag belts: the drama belts. No ranking per se and all feuds are drama.
World Beltt per show. A secondary, and an internship belt, used so you can hop between shows and vie for the secondary belt. That is the only way other than draft to jump shows.
out of time slot , college football and preshow/survivor series was early too
Ryan does have a point about CM Punk, he is soft.
Spreading and lies is ok, but getting calling liars b1tches is bad. 👌
@adamc-sv2tp
Punk is soft, give me a break. Punk has been acting soft before this stuff with Ryan and the Elite and any other drama in AEW happened.
@@KanelingManling Talks shit behind his back, gets confronted for it face to face, cries to HR about being bullied. Who's the soft one here exactly? 😂😂
