It is shameful! I’m glad that where I live the owner has to pay relocation costs (a little over $20,000 since she is an elder) for no fault eviction. Renters need protection for no fault evictions.
It actually has nothing to do with the rent, she's current on that, problem is they want to redo the whole area and sell them not rent, which is still terrible, they work with real estate agents all the time, should have found her a place before it came to this.

I am a senior citizen living in Phoenix and I have to move also. I live on social security and applied to an affordable senior citizen apt bldg but they said I don't have enough income. A strange thing for a senior affordable bldg to tell me. They want me to have $300/month more income. They are a federal housing association, FHA, affiliated and I can't qualify. Probably a Ben Carson special decision. I hope you get help in time.
