No problem. And I have to agree with you about Schecter - I've had my Gryphon for almost 3 years and I plan on having it for much longer, assuming I don't destroy anything during a pickup swap. Bolt on neck (I like it that way - very low gloss), mahogany body, flamed maple top, grovers, and coil tapping. Only thing I wish it had is a floyd, but I get way more sustain this way. If you can find one anymore, it's a much cheaper alternative to the Classic. Change the pickups though.
Holy Shit! Good call man!!!! That's not the studio version of the lead vocals by DLR...but this goddamn guitar rocks the shit! mtuck5150 I have subscribed and am thoroughly impressed!!!!
Yes, it's an 85 with an extra alnico single coil in it. I wouldn't switch them because then I'm left with a neck pup with a higher output than my bridge pup. I'm just going to try the extra battery/18v hack.
Hi, I demo'd the Schecter along with an LTD (m1000?) which was pretty much the same guitar. I chose the Schecter because I hate the LTD reverse headstock, and I felt the Schecter was a little better quality overall. PS, same room, different angle.
You should maybe work on the settings of your flanger and make a bit of a wider sweep and like you said the EMGs aren't optimal for VH but apart from that you did a really awesome job! Congratz!
I wish you showed your left hand during the video. It keeps moving off camera. It would be a great lesson to see the chords and fingering. It IS really awesome and sounds great!!
I am currently in the process of doing just that. Going to include Battery, Master of Puppets etc. I also use Amazing Slow Downer, helps with the solos.
love the hellraiser! man that guitar screams. I'm thinking of getting it for the great value..the white is nice. is that an off white or is that just my eyes deceiving me?
Hey mtuck, before you put the other pickups in, please try switching the neck and bridge pickup (81 is in bridge, 85 in neck, switch it to be 85 is in bridge, 81 in neck) the 85 in bridge is THE BOMB
A better question would be "do you think this amp is comparable to the Marshall DSL as far as versatility and sound?" Im highly interested in getting either the marshall or the bugera, the bugera half is like $800 and the Marshall is $1300 and I'm trying to figure out if the Marshall is really worth the extra $500...
The room where you did your reviews, Panama and Somebody Get Me a Doctor has better lighting. Love your videos. Would you recommend this guitar? Neck feels thin? 'Shreddable'? Tried ESP/LTDs? How does it feel compared to them. (I say them because I know how they feel.)
That flanger sounds better than the "EVH Flanger" with the "Unchained button" on it. The MXR flanger WAAAYYY overdose the flanger effect and makes it sound like soup. This pedal give you just the right amount of flange. Man I miss the days when pedals didn't overdo shit and just did what they were supposed to do.
Very, very good but I give my vote to Craigman65 for both guitar tone and overall feel. Except for some parts of the solo Craigman65 absolutely nails it! But it's a great song that rips so either one is good to listen to, again and again!
You are using the 6262? Seems like it is a great sounding amp.... For more of a rythym or classic rock can you get a sort of Marshall tone from it with the distortion, or does it break up too much?
hey mav, they're 81tw/89 ... I like'em and I don't likem'em...know what I mean? Someone told me I ought to try them through a good OD pedal before I yank them out...maybe I will...
What a killer tone... wow.
Awesome!!!! You captured the sound and vibe of EVH perfectly!

You're really good!!
SMOKIN badass!!!!
Nice job, Rocker!
You got the feel...5 stars
@LiamRTube It's a Schecter Hellraiser C-1 =]
INSANE
I agree with you, 85 in the bridge is awesome, but in a Schecter Hellraiser its a 81/89 set, so 89 in neck lol.
I am currently in the process of doing just that. Going to include Battery, Master of Puppets etc. I also use Amazing Slow Downer, helps with the solos.
awesome playing !
you rock!
5/5
Thanks man...shame on you for not putting up vids more often!
Nice dynamics too
Nice Guitar man :)
Replacing EMG's with GFS's; good man!
i know!!! i love mine, i have the exact one the guy in the vid is playing. i love it. really good if you are a versatile player and if you like metal
captured the original tone perfectly.
AWESOME******
love the hellraiser! man that guitar screams. I'm thinking of getting it for the great value..the white is nice. is that an off white or is that just my eyes deceiving me?
I know I know...im lazy ok lol.
Im gonna go start on one!
Once again kick ass vid bro
YOU ROCK!!!^^
absofrigginlutely...will probably do a review of it soon

85 is in bridge, 81 in neck)

yes very cool bro its so nice

I found the one you're talking about - Omen Extreme 6 Special, right? That's basically the Gryphon with EMG's. I'd say go for it.
Probably crunchy rail in the bridge and vintage 59 in the neck....
Yeah, I figured that out about 2 days after I posted. Damn youtube and its lack of an edit button...
Anyway, I'm still happy with my Gryphon.
Kickass schreddin ;) Matt
killer! I do a drum cover of this. please post more!
Brother sweet tone!!! Are you playing your Bugera??? sounds awesome! Respect.
This is amazing! And a beautiful guitar, what is it?
That flanger sounds better than the "EVH Flanger" with the "Unchained button" on it. The MXR flanger WAAAYYY overdose the flanger effect and makes it sound like soup. This pedal give you just the right amount of flange. Man I miss the days when pedals didn't overdo shit and just did what they were supposed to do.
That is tight ! Great job !!! How long to learn ?
badass cover! do you have tabs for this? id love to learn this song
GFS pickups, they sound good...you can see them in videos on youtube.
yessir
Very, very good but I give my vote to Craigman65 for both guitar tone and overall feel. Except for some parts of the solo Craigman65 absolutely nails it! But it's a great song that rips so either one is good to listen to, again and again!
I'll keep that in mind when shopping...
You are using the 6262?
Seems like it is a great sounding amp.... For more of a rythym or classic rock can you get a sort of Marshall tone from it with the distortion, or does it break up too much?
Insane cover!!!! how do you get the notes and chords so clean sounding?
good song......SWEET
hey mav, they're 81tw/89 ... I like'em and I don't likem'em...know what I mean? Someone told me I ought to try them through a good OD pedal before I yank them out...maybe I will...
What setting you have on your custom 2 knobs pedal?
Schecter c-1 hellraiser? Nice.
cool... do you recommend schester guitars for a customer for value for money?
