It's just banter between friends. They are just purposely trashtalking each other for funsies, sadly it's not that fun when one side is getting destroyed, I think that's why Amaz stopped trashtalking Trump around the end.

I started with quest hunter at first, then I realized it's actually really bad. Filling the deck with one 1 drops isn't going to do much. I played about 30 rounds this day, I only encountered no more than 5 quest hunters, I was playing in Asian server, by the way. It felt like I was the few people who believed quest hunter is going to be a thing.
Rogue Quest 1 star... he was regretting that rate a few HOURS after the expansion was released.

I mean, playing the 2 cards on the board trigger card first is kinda a dumb choice isn't it? He could have gone Crackling Razor Maw and then the other dino card for 2 and both adapt.

Sans You mitigate bad luck by building good decks. Trump's "luck" will improve when other people work out optimal decks.

I personally enjoy watching trump more than watching Amaz and ofc: When you are a fellow trump subscriber u are familiar with relaxing smooth gameplay / commentary for the bedtime sometimes aswell so Amaz seems very loud and annyoing when u compare then but NONE of them were cocky or egoistical since they both were joking. Feelsbadman that so many guys are hating Amaz just because they only take everything that he is doing as an insult or a terrible action but when trump is doing something its completly fine. And i understand when someone says 'Okay hes a little loud or childish for my kind of videos' but this Commentsection is just RIP ;)

Made it ten seconds in before the wretched sound that is the voice of Amaz, gave me a migraine.
Everyone keeps saying "Trump's a terrible deck builder, can't predict meta, etc.," but only half of that could be concluded from this video. He built terrible decks, but not necessarily because he chose bad deck archetypes, he just made them really weird. Is quest hunter bad? Maybe, but Genzo in that deck is certainly bad. Is elemental shaman bad? Probably not, but jades probably don't belong in it. Is quest druid bad? Could be, but his weird beast synergy variant probably isn't the best version of it. Etc.
Also, the last game Trump got indisputably majorly unlucky and was easily favored to win. That deck was possibly the one deck he built a good version of.
P.S. Personally I think midrange hunter will be better than quest hunter.

I think trumps decks held him back a little, but it really does suck seeing him draw so poorly compared to amaz's awesome hands. Especially his hunter draw against the mage. So unlucky

After messing around with it a bit, that Hunter list needs serious refinement. Needs more balance. Completing the quest is great, but one AOE afterwards and unless your luck is insane, you run outta steam. The high mane is a good start, but tundra rhino is big after raptors drop, and ravasaur is too inconsistent. Fun deck regardless.

Really, the sad thing is... Trump really got unlucky.
His hunter draw was really bad.
His pirate warrior draw was pretty lackluster, too.
His Shaman draw was.. slightly worse than amaz's. And with similar decks, thats enough to lose. The deck didn't impress me too much, though.
His beast druid didn't seem too good to me and unfavored vs taunt warrior.
And in his Handlock match~ Getting sooo many abyssals is just lucky on Amazs' side.
I don't think this is a biased evaluation. I know there have been some misplays, too - but that's not the main reason trump lost, imo.
Heck, I feel salty just watching this xD
The misplays happen mainly in deck building, a person can't always get unlucky. One important reason of bad draws is unreasonable curve.
You will need to make your deck consistent so you won't draw something undesirable.
For example, in hunter's deck you need more 1 drops to complete the quest, if you put only seven it is normal to not draw them all before you got beaten. And hunters don't have that much synergy in elemental minions. So it is better to get beasts and so on.
The shaman deck of Trump is not consistent at all. You can't hope for curving with elemental minions and crafting a huge jade golem at the same time.
The warlock deck was okay I guess, although it is not really relevant to the new expansion. Most of the key cards are from previous expansions.
That is true. That said, 14 1-drops is enough - after all, you have stuff like Tolvir Warden, firefly and the new raptor that rig the 1-drop count. The deck does not some more refinement, though. Personally, I think Firefly is a very good addition to the deck: It allows you to use less one-drops, as Firefly's count for 1.5.
If I had to list it~
I feel like the Shaman and Beast druid could have been better. The other decks were slightly unrefined or... just plain bad draws.
