NPS could easily install cameras around the battlefield, sad as that would be.....
It should be more like five yrs in jail and a ten thousands Dollar fine 🤬🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
I suspect the individual will not have the funds to pay the fine. Should be given community service after time served.
500 lashes
Just like every other Civil War monument, statue or Confederate-named Army bases, gets vandalized!
What would you expect from these self centered people......
The ghosts will haunt him.
Why is the culprit not being named and shamed?
Someone needs to track down a “Jayce and Maddie” that recently visited Gettysburg. They will be younger. It’s not that hard for the internet to figure out.
Must be a minor, or else they’d have released the suspect’s name.
It's going to get much worse.
"the end is near".....no...its not.
If it wasn’t for the defense of that hill by COL Chamberlain and the men of the 20th Maine the entire battle would’ve been lost. The fact that this cretin would deface anything on that battlefield is disgraceful and a disservice to all the men who fought there. I hope they make an example of him.
History and respect seem to be missing from what's taught in schools.
Make her clean every possible window and surface they can think of, cut grass or weeds and do community service.
How about 1000 hours of community service in the park and required to attend educational programs on the importance of protecting our sites.
I find it equally disgusting that the park personnel learned of the damage from a social media post. Problem with seeking our or calling a park ranger?
at least they let you know the offender was neither Southern nor White.
