Thanks, Jen, for taking us step by step through this project and pointing out the areas we need to pay close attention to, so we end up with a lovely table runner! 💖💖💖
Very pretty. Thank you for sharing tips to stay organized on this project. One thought, you mentioned about trimming the edge after the whole runner was pieced. I personally would quilt it, then before attaching the binding trim the edges.
I hope you offer just the pattern alone. I have some beautiful fabric that would look great like this. And would love to make an "every day " one in this pattern.
Thanks so much for your Tutorial .You do a wonderful job and I really enjoy them and learn a lot. I want to make the place mates where you just fold over the sides, looks very nice and easy. Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!!
The runner is beautiful! I want to make it using the Stof Christmas fabrics I bought from you, but I can't find the pattern to buy. Can you provide a link? Thanks! Merry Christmas!
Here is the correct link - you can choose the printed pattern or PDF download: www.shabbyfabrics.com/search?sortOrder=6&q=lattice+Table+Pattern -Michelle
I love watching your tutorials. You make it look so easy. I notice you use the walking foot in most of your videos. Does that help get the stitching started and not get the fabric pulled into the plate? I have a devil of a time starting my stitching without the thread getting bunched up under the plate because the fabric doesn’t move. I tried starting with piece of scrap fabric but as soon as my needle hits the project, the fabric catches and the thread just stitches in one place.
Hi Diane - What you're seeing on our Bernina is the dual feed engaged, which does mimic a walking foot. One thing you may notice Bethany do when she starts to sew is that she'll start her project with a "leader" - it's a scrap square folded over that she'll start sewing in the middle of and just continue the momentum with feeding her project through directly behind it. Another thing to look at is your plate - If it has a larger hole, it's probably more geared toward zigzag stitching, so see if you can find a plate with a tiny hole meant for straight stitching in your machine's brand. This will help eliminate your fabric falling through the plate. Hope this helps! -Michelle
Great observation! Due to the settings on this Bernina machine, we do not need to pull the bobbin thread up prior to stitching. It's a pretty nifty feature! 💖 -Michelle

@@ShabbyFabrics Thanks Michelle. I do use the plate for straight stitching so I will also try the leader. TY for responding! Happy New Year!
So pretty. Jen, when you take your fabric to the machine, I never see your bobbin thread laying there, just your top thread. How can that be? .
If she uses the thread cutter on the Bernina, you won't see the bobbin thread
Great observation! Due to the settings on this Bernina machine, we do not need to pull the bobbin thread up prior to stitching. It's a pretty nifty feature! 💖 -Michelle

Where do we get just the pattern, Jen?
Hi Del - We do hope to be able to release this pattern soon, so check back later! Glad you like it! 💖 -Michelle
