I am Christian but I have Palestine in my prayers everyday. From the river to the sea, Palestine has to be free.

What exactly does that mean? I ask because I have been watching videos from the ask project over the course of nearly 5 years now and nearly 90% of the Palestinians he has interviewed state that they adamantly oppose any compromise. As far as they're concerned, the entirety of the land belongs to Palestine, and they don't believe they should have to share it with even a single Jewish person. Some of them even admit that the only way they would accept a compromise is if they knew it was a temporary measure, aimed at allowing them to get stronger, so that when they attack again, they'll be able to win.
When I first started looking at this issue, and I only vaguely understood the history, I thought it was going to be one of those conflicts where two groups were being equally dogmatic and small militant factions within each population were basically keeping that conflict fueled. The more I researched it and the more I listened to their own words, however the more I came to support Israel. I don't see how anyone could say that the Palestinians aren't free when they have had something like seven different opportunities to forge a state and they only turn it down because accepting any sort of compromise would mean acknowledging that the land was never going to belong to them. How does anyone say they aren't free when all of the security measures that they claim represent apartheid were only enacted following the intifada campaigns?
I don't know where others might live, but if one of the countries that border your own was sending in their people to detonate bombs on your buses,in your restaurants, and in your markets, wouldn't you want your government to emact border security measures so that their people could no longer carry out deadly attacks against your society? When you say the Palestinians should be free, are you saying that Israel is somehow obligated to allow Palestinians into the interior of their country or are you saying that they can't enact security checks before they allow them into the interior of their borders because that seems to me to be an all or nothing proposition then and will that president then apply to every country? If a bunch of Pakistanis wanted to fly into India with guns strapped to their back, would India be forced to allow that? Would Egypt equally be required to allow the Palestinians to access their sovereign lands? Whenever I hear people say this, it honestly sounds very naïve to me and I don't think it's fair that people are demanding that the Israelis experiment at the potentiak expense of their own lives

First of all, history is written by the victor. These 'intents' you're talking about that Israel have made to make peace with the palestinians etc etc, were not valid at all. actually, the refusal of these offers was very expected. let's take peel commission for example, the most generous one that gave only fifth to a new state called israel, it wasn't gonna work. that fifth that was going to Israel was, deliberately, the most fertile and best piece of land of palestine, and there was a palestinian majority already living there that had to flee their homes, at that stage of the conflict, it was normal to refuse. again on deals like UN partition that looked like a jigsaw puzzle and that definitely wasn't going to work etc.
Again, I'm not bringing this out of nowhere, it is true that the Israeli narrative that they make now wasn't at all the reality, and you're going to realise that if you go and read the LITERATURE that was written at that time, especially by zionists themselves.
In 1938, Ben Gurion described the conflict with the Arabs as "in its essence a political one... politically we are the aggressors and they [the Arabs] defend themselves." This is the former of Israel, Also in 1956 he said "Why should the Arabs make peace? If I was an Arab leader I would never make terms with Israel. That is natural: we have taken their country. Sure, God promised it to us, but what does that matter to them? Our God is not theirs. We come from Israel, it's true, but two thousand years ago, and what is that to them? There has been anti-Semitism, the Nazis, Hitler, Auschwitz, but was that their fault? They only see one thing: we have come here and stolen their country. Why should they accept that?"
I was just very normal for them to refuse. It's not because of jewish people and their jewishness! let's take for exapmle palestinian writer and poet Mahmoud Darwish, he wrote for liberation and he was a main targert for the mossad because of his writings, but at the same time his lover was a jewish israeli girl, even tho he was strongly in refusal of the state of israel and believed in absolute liberation from their occupation. he was not an antisemite!
Also when you talked about your understanding for Israel's security mesures, remener that these security mesures are what every colonial occupation does to guarantee 100% only THEIR security, for the price of the freedom and dignity of a whole other ethnic group. And keep in mind that these "security mesures" are also fueled by racism as well and the belief that all palestinians are terrorist (like how Netanyahu refused to tall with Edward Said palestinian academic in one room because, Netanyahu claimed edward wanted to kill him, which of course was ridiculous) Palestinians just cannot continue to live like this, oppressing a whole people for your absolute security is coward and won't work. I understand how you lean to Israel because they seem more chill than the Palestinians who are always angry and mad and complaining, and you believe that theya re just violent and they need to chill like tehse israelis, which is sad. remember all palestinians live a life of brutal occupation, this is not me this is said by many israeli journalists themselves like gideon levy etc. and rememebr, while Israeli and zionist parents have at some point to their parents about the war, and that israel is the good etc etc... palestinian children do not need to be told about the war. they don't need to be told. they see it 24/24, israelis never seen a hamas soldier, Palestinians are under military oppression all the time since they are born, they don't need to be told. I remember a quite from a Jewish doctor that got out of gaza and she said "I have met people in gaza who have never seen a jew who wasn't a militant"

If we only support one side of a conflict, not both sides, we are culpable of sustaining the conflict, setting up for future wars again, failing to move towards peace. If all we can do is blame the other side as being wrong, and our side as being right; if all we can do is feel our own pain, and feel careless about the pain of the other side, we ARE the war, we ARE the continuing conflict. This applies to both sides of a conflict.
Genocide? I learnt of the Ruanda Genocide, the Pol Pot Cambodia genocide, the Nazi Holocaust and others. I thought genocide was a deliberate attempt to obliterate another group, to wipe them off the face of the earth. I also thought it involved at least a million people killed or displaced? In the 3 genocides I mentioned here, there was a clear, STATED policy, to kill the other side, usually calling them disparaging names, like “cockroach” (Ruanda)etc. I thought the INTENTION to destroy the other side was a relevant part of what was called “genocide”. Hamas and Iran have had a STATED INTENTION they are not ashamed of, to wipe out a whole country and a whole people. Yet SA and others are letting them get away with impunity, not saying ANYTHING about their genocidal INTENTION . . .one they have clearly stated they intend bringing about.
The only nation getting attacked for its vicious attack to defend itself is Israel. Please explain to me why you let Muslim nations, like in Iraq, where at least a million have been killed and many displaced, get away with this murder (Assad, etc.)
And, for example, how Burma, Mynmar, has treated the Rohingas. NO PROTEST AGAINST THAT . . .yet here are some facts about that:

I know 2 wrongs don’t make a right, but please, SOMEONE, explain to me why there is this strong concentration on Jews, the only people who had no country of their own and were totally vulnerable victims for 2000 years. The speaker here claims that Hamas only attacked Military Bases in Israel! Surely he can’t be serious. THAT is a REAL AND CLEAR DISTORTION OF THE FACTS. Those settlements are farming settlements, “Moshavim”, and the people living there are not soldiers. In fact, I know for a fact, personally, that many of the Israelis who lived there were very pro-Palestinian and did much practically to help across the nearby border . . . in terms of providing jobs, food, medical assistance, like driving Palestinians to hospitals.
There was something said in this talk like “if it is a Palestinian, he deserves to die”. It seems most Palestinians and Muslims feel that way about Jews and Israelis . . .”If it is a Jew, he deserves to die”.
The SON OF HAMAS, Mosab Hassan Yousef, who grew up in the leading Hamas family, and who should know the truth about them, assures us that the agenda of Hamas is radical Islamism . . . and he suggests they don’t really care much about the Palestinians but just use them for their cause. Hamas is an Islamist organisation.
A non-Jewish military expert, on TH-cam, who has experienced many wars and many armies, gave a short talk stating, as an expert, that Israel is one of the most moral armies in the world. The talk was given in 2014. Israel would NEVER should a civilian or child if they could help it (except for a few psychopaths which one finds in any army). This FACT was used by Hamas . . .PRECISELY because it was true, Hamas built its army on civilian lands . . . It USED Israel’s morality for its own defence. That was one reason there was such an irrational knee-jerk reaction to what happened . . . “we are no longer going to be the nice guys”.
Lastly, I never buy any side that says “we have no choice” = “the other side forced us to do it”. Rubbish! The one side DECIDED to do this, and in response the other side DECIDED to do that. Every side must take responsibility for it’s actions!!!
