Eh they should've replaced the y on both pair. Weird they only did one. At least they fixed them for you. Just got my pair that I'm happy with. Sizing was a hassle. I ended up wiry the insulated flannel lined dark brown pair. They're awesome!

did you have to pay shipping costs to them the second time? or did they email you a return label?

I can't remember if they sent me a prepaid label or if they just covered the cost or refunded me shipping. Sorry, I can't remember . . :/

I have not done so yet, they are still okay, this past pandemic brought a lot less wear to them :/

I just ordered my first pair of bean boots, since I moved out to the sticks (didn’t see the need for them in the city). Nice to see they repair their stuff, for a decent price. How long did you have the pair initially, before sending them in for repairs the first time?

Awesome! and yeah it's definitely a good boot to have for all weather conditions! and I had them for about 4-5 years of winter wear on them. I wore them a lot since I liked taller shoes/boots in the winter to help keep my feet warmer.

Do you know how to smooth out the "tongue" of the boot?

as in make it more pliable? I think it's as thick as the other pieces of leather so it will all last the same throughout the boot, in time it will break-in, but it's not going to ever really be soft leather.
