      Thanks for watching Greg! Unfortunately I did not make the fluid bed, I bough it on EBay several years ago. Hope you are able to find one there. Thanks again.

    Great video! I learned a neat new thing or two and I'm hoping you can make this watching really worthwhile! You mention that you have home made pvc cups _AND LIDS_!!! I need to know, where did you get the lids???? I've been looking for a while now and haven't truly found an inexpensive answer that I'm satisfied with, and no one in the stores has ever been helpful.
    Thanks a lot man!
    PS I also love your mold mods! I have roughly 30 molds or so, and the vast majority of them have been modified from very slightly to drastically, which leaves me as the sole supplier for certain styles/weights of tube jig heads, both tapered & not tapered. I found so long as your mod is REALLY WELL thought out, you have excellent quality tools on hand to measure & modify the molds & the confidence in your ability to do so.

      Thanks for watching Kirk! I bought the whole fluid bed and cups/lids on eBay a few years ago. I am not sure if I can find the seller but will try. In the meantime, I would suggest searching EBay. Thanks again.

      Use a test cap. They should be available any place that sells PVC plumbing supplies.

    I have a question, I'm going to make a fluid bed and I noticed that you could leave the powder in the PVC container and simply put it in the base and induce air. How is the bottom of the container assembled so as to keep the powder while letting the air through to fluff the powder? Also what type of Powder do you use? Where do you get it? Great videos!!!!

      Thanks Dana! To be straight up I've never inspected the fluid bed closely enough to identify how the air passes through, I imagin the bottom must have micro perforations or there is air traveling through the space where the bottom is glued to the pvc ring. Mystery!
      I buy Pro Tec powder paint from Barlows Tackle, Amazon Prime, or other suppliers. I also buy custom powder colors from fishingskirts.com.
      Thanks for watching and commenting!!!

      l used sheets of vacuum cleaner bulk filter felt for mine. Just make sure your powder is deep enough so you don't dip the bait on the bottom or it will have a tendency to glue itself there.

    why do you have a valve on the painter when you have one on the pump?

    Didn't show the bottom of the paint section of pipe to hold the paint in.Do you use a brown bag filter?Also I'm doing 32oz mojo heads,is that pipe your using 3"

    • @BassManFishing
      @BassManFishing  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mike! I'm not sure I follow your question - the fluid bud I use has no paper filters, each powder container slips into the base. I bought the setup off ebay and yes, I believe its a 3". And never messed with any 32oz ANYTHING for fishing so that sounds like a big lure! Thanks for watching and commenting!

      Wondering how the air gets through the bottom of the container yet doesn't let the powder fall out when storing?

    When you modified the mold for a 9/64 drill bit for the weed guard. How did you do it or do you just set the 9/64 drill bit in there in replace of the base pin ?

    • @averymills6921
      @averymills6921 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      MusicCity Bass watch part I. he explains it in more detail there. he had to drill the mold out to make the 9/64 drill bit blanks fit because the mold is made for the smaller 1/8 base hole pins

    where do you get your powder paint at packaged like that?

    • @BassManFishing
      @BassManFishing  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks CD. I get powder paint from fishingskirts.com - it's their standard colors but they also have a two part paint that has a "textured" finish. Pretty cool looking but I think doubles the painting time so I do solid colors for that reason. I appreciate you watching and commenting!
