If you're buying purely on features for the money the Everlast is the best value for sure but, what Everlast's long term service and support will be like is hard to say. The Miller is the easiest machine to setup and use but lacks a couple of features compared to the other 2 machines. The Esab lacks some of the features that make Miller easy to use but, the Esab offers more adjustment in AC frequency than the other 2 machines and uses standard connectors for the torches like the Everlast. What do you think of the Lotos LTPDC2000D? I want to learn tig and would like stick incase I need to do some heavy welding. Mig would be nice but... I just don't think I will weld enough to really need it. The Lotos LTPDC2000D has a plasma cutter that would be awesome. Its not as fancy but have you heard anything about it? Need a honest opinion.
The only thing you need to watch with those cheap plasma machines is, a lot of them use odd size consumables. So you have to go back to the manufacturer for parts and they charge a premium for them because, well, they can. As far as that machine I don't know anything about it. The only thing that I can tell you is what you'll find on youtube and google yourself. Personally I'd go with an AC/DC tig machine so you can weld aluminum. If you want a plasma you can always get that down the road. Plasmas are cheap nowadays. If you want to stick with LOTOS you can have an AC/DC TIG, Stick and a plasma cutter for just over $800 AC/DC TIG:amzn.to/2BlJ0AL Plasma:amzn.to/36PaWIT
Sorry you had that experience brother! I have the Everlast 210EXT and absolutely love it. So much so I'm gna get the 350EXT. Why? Cause I have had no desire OR need to contact service. I weld everyday though and usually figure stuff out pretty quick, and for the $ you will NOT find a 350amp welder with same features for anywhere near that price. I understand Every company and every customer is going to have a subjective personal experience. I think you were just meant to have that Esab, and I see your a thorough smart guy, so...go with your gut and your experience. Which, lol u did obviously. 200amp machines are comparable across the board bit when it comes to 350amps.. u go from $2800 to $9000 pretty quick. That's quite a difference so, lol I'll take my chances especially with 2 backup machines already. I love esab, miller, and lincoln....but I have heard horrible and good reviews for miller, and Fronius for that matter. So Ide rather have crap service for $3000, than crap service for $9000 lol IF I ever even need service. So far so good. Great video bud, best of luck and congrats with you badass new machine, happy welding!
I think you maybe incorrect about the parking space. Just because it is a blue color doesn't make it a 100% a handicap spot. Also look at the sign for the spot it says "Private Parking". Great review though. I'm having the same issue trying to decide. I really would like a 285/255 multiprocess size machine with AC TIG. Kinda curious if that is coming or if the 205/220 the only machines going to get AC TIG.
I recently bought an Everlast MTS 275. They have been as responsive as any company I've worked with. They worked with me on swapping out the TIG torch for one that would work more for me. The unit arrived with a control panel that had a streak in the color. I sent them an email on a Saturday, and they responded that same day, saying they would send a new control panel out right away. Regarding the car parking in the handicapped spot, I learned many years ago that if you don't buy from companies whose owners/employees do something you don't agree with, you'll never buy anything else in your life.
@Alberta1309 ...have you seen me post any welding videos? I paid full price (minus their ongoing sale) for my MTS 275. You are ridiculous...especially since my comment was posted over a year ago.
Wow man, that's unbelievable about Everlast. I was on the fence with them but honestly ESAB made a better product for what I needed and their customer service was on point for me. I feel like I got a pretty awesome welder for my needs. Thanks you for unboxing!
I am also considering the 3 multis that have ac tig and are somewhat mobile. If I could get a rebel 205 now for $2500 I would definitely get it but unfortunately a lot has changed. I have an everlast 350ext tig machine and it's been great. I got it 2-3 years ago and pre sales was great, i had a problem and they gave me a choice of sending me the parts or sending a complete unit. They had one at my house super fast with absolutely no out of pocket for shipping, etc. They sent me a new pedal later on, again quick turnaround and no out of pocket. Their pedals kind of sucked so I bought an SSC and it's been great. Yet another experience with support was the quickly responded with instructions for cleaning a valve which solved the problem. It not saying your findings are invalid, just sharing my experience. Thanks for taking the time to make the video. 👍
I am doing research for my first welder and appreciate the comments on Everlast customer service. Don’t care too much about the parking situation only because there aren’t enough facts. Maybe it’s legit, maybe not. Either way the customer service is enough for me to not consider the green one. Especially after they failed to take ownership of it in their response to you in the comments.
Zero issues after 2 years. I'm just a home hobbyist so I'm not using it 24/7. I've welded 3/8ths plate, razor blades with the tig, and everything in between. I have zero regrets with this machine. Granted it only paid $2600 2 years ago but, it is a great machine if you want an all in one.
@@RepairGeek From what I read, all the Big Boys raised prices in the last year or so, while the more offshore guys (as to mfg) like Everlast held off. The shop where I am looking at the Miller as well as the Lincoln Garage Pak pair has discouraged me from buying the EASB. Too many they have sold have been back for service. And talk about bad attitude, I read somewhere that ESAB will not help with DIY repair. Everlast is said to shine on that score, and I do not fear the process since I have dabbled in electronics kits in my youth. I once had to diagnose a defective parts problem with Heathkit by US mail while building a tuner in my dorm at VA Tech. I do take issue with your conclusion that the CEO of Everlast (or some other top official) hogged that handicap parking spot. What if it was someone (like a wealthy atty, anyone?) running in to deliver or pick a doc? What if it was someone not even connected with EL? I have a brother-in-law who has been quad paralyzed since 1969 and uses a special van to get around, so I have little tolerance for shirkers. But dinging an unknown person from a point in time still photo seems wrong and counterproductive for your cause. I have had variable customer service experience with so many companies, I am almost numb but I can understand how that factor bothered you. But did you also call Miller and ESAB HQ/help lines? I did not recall hearing you say? I'll have to add that a model plate I saw on Facebook for an ESAB revealed it was made in India. FYI.
Probably not because these videos aren't that popular for my channel. Overall it's an excellent machine. I've welded 3/8th's plate with the MIG and razor blades with the TIG. I've had no issues at all with it in the 4 years that I've had it. I do know that the price has gone up considerably since I purchased it in 2020. I have ZERO regrets buying this ESAB. My only real "issue" with it is the fan is obnoxiously loud when I'm attempting to record video for YT but 99.9% of people don't have that issue. I wish the cooling fan was speed controlled, it's either on or off.
Could you a quick little video of the information on the inside of the door. Ive tried to look everywhere to see what kind of info it gives on setting for process and metal thicknesses like miller and lincoln does but cant find it anywhere.
I love the analogy of everlast. I am replacing a miller 250 I bought in 1996. I am also between miller and esab. Looks like I will go with miller. One of the things that I liked about the miller it's not a big deal but is that the fan is on demand so it doesn't run constantly. A job we have in the shop right now is stretching a cab. You spend more time fiting and fabing parts and adjusting then you do welding so I just leave it on. If the fan was on non-stop I would feel compelled to turn it off and on all day. I don't know how the fan works on the one you have there.
Thank you for the review. I was totally onboard with Everlast and looking at their MTS products. I’m now rethinking this. They have great options but the supposed attitude of the company is inexcusable. I will contact them and let them know that they lost a $2500 sale. Good to know from others about the amount of return. I have to rethink. Again, thanks. Henry.
As for the handicapped parking. I owned a production facility, commercial production facility, that had VERY LIMITED, customers coming and going. They came at times for inspections, and for very advanced or complicated reasons, etc. etc. but they are coming to an industrial facility. VERY MUCH THE SAME, as the facility showed in the video. "I don't believe that is any kind of retail or customers coming and going type of a place." why there is a handicapped spot, I have no idea, maybe its required by law, maybe it was there previous, have no idea. But "if" my previous business had a handicapped spot, I would have had no issue parking in it, because there was ZERO expectation, and/or possibility anybody would be coming to use it. (It kind of would have been useless to be honest.) I'm not sure this is in anyway a comparison, but by observation to me it seems as though it is..... In the end, I agree, it's not a good look. But WAY WAY too much speculation as to whose car it is, and if that is appropriate or not. It's not a retail location, drug store, shopping mall, doctors office, etc. etc. to me its a big "who cares" and for those who say they bought elsewhere because of it..... (I HAD TO LAUGH). As for the customer service guy being rude, THAT'S A BIG DEAL, even acting like you were wasting his time, THAT'S A BIG DEAL. I wouldn't have bought from them either if he didn't want to give me a few minutes of his time. And THAT happens to me regularly these days with American businesses. To be honest, I never bought of China, unitl COVID. American businesses drove me to open accounts all over China, because I got tired of them telling me it was going to take them 8 weeks, to cut a 300 foot piece of cable off the real and ship it to me for $2,500. So I bought it from china for $350 and they shipped it to me and I had it within 5 days. Cost of shipping was less than $100. I paid for next day shipping for a trucking tarp, I needed for a piece of eqiupment we were moving, all in sstock, on the shelf. I paid for next day air. Never arrived. I called, they said... "Oh, we are backed up shipping products, and finding employees during covid is difficult." I said, "Cancel the order, after they said it would take them 4 days to take the tarp off the shelf and put it in a box." I told them, "My family, my wife, my kids, my elderly parents, and aunts, uncles the neighbos and whoever else I needed would be pullin gorders and packaging them and keeping up, REGARDLESS, of the emplyee situation and making excuses to my clients. That is ridiculous." And there reply was that they basically didn't care. Which was fine with me. So we ordered tarps out of China, had em here in 8 days as well. America needs to get their shit in order as it relates to customer service, and as an engineer, when I DO GET, customer service on the phone, they are hafl the time dumber than a box of rocks. And when company engineers send me to dealers, I tell them up front, "if a dealer could answer my engineering question, I wouln'dt have called you, the manufacturer to begin with, I would have called them. But you are going to send me to your dealer, who can't answer the question. it will take him 2 days of phone tag and messing around for me to ask him, and for him to say, DUH. And then he will get back to you,, and after days of messing around you will get him the answer, and then 2 days of getting me on the phone, and we've wasted 8 days of playing games. I'll have my answer from some company, by the end o ftoday, the part or machine will be ordered. So when you reply back in 6 or 8 days, I will beusing the competitors machine for 5 of those already, HAPPILY.
Hey by any chance do you know if your rebel 205 are you able to lift start or scratch and start without the pedal ? My rebel works fine with everything except one feature the 2t 4t . I bought an esab Tig torch compatible with the 205 . It’s from a 235 and it has the remote trigger . But each time I set it to weld 4t it goes back to 2t. It’s frustrating me
@@PhunkyNomad any machine that has lift arc you can do without the pedal. The pedal is just so you can throttle the amperage. Start low push to desired heat and drop it slow at the end to avoid fish eyes.
E A i thought that to but I just returned my rebel 205 it has lift arc but it only functions with the pedal .... it only works with the pedal and with the button on the torch ....I’m going to have to get a miller now .
I know your probably not into flux core wire but can you demo that please? I use a lot of inner shield with my fronius but I’m thinking of picking one of these up
I had a great sales experience with Everlast and they did give me a lot of technical support explaining the products. I had to call twice though because they didn’t call me back within 2 hours of asking for technical information. So I bet that’s the guy with the sports car 😂. Everyone I talked to, three people, all had accents which made me nervous but they were terrific to work with. I just hope the welder works well and lasts. That’s all I care about honestly.
I have been a welder for over 10 years I used to be a lincoln fan when I was growing up welding on the farm but sense then I like miller the best have ran easab it was okay I think miller has much better leads
Thank you for the 411. I wouldn’t buy Everlast boxing equipment, much less a welder. I’m going with ESAB. WHat a jerk parking in the blue. I saw that right before you even mentioned. Parking in the handicap is a tool move
Just because you see a nice car in a handicap parking space doesn't mean the driver is not handicapped. There may be a permanently affixed symbol on the license plate. It is very common to see a vehicle without a sticker or tag that has a permanent plate. As far as the customer service goes, I can't say but I will definitely check for myself and consider that as a factor when I make my purchase soon. So thanks for the heads up there! I hope my experience is better than yours though, I'm really leaning towards the Everlast.
@@sasca854 probably is. I still brought that Lightning MTS 275 though... Love that thing, and had an excellent sales experience 😁. Weld mean, weld green 💚
Everlast has a 275 AC/DC MTS, Miller has stopped with its AC/DC MTS at the 220. Miller's Multimatic DC only MTS 255 is the most powerful modern MTS from miller yet with a large easy to read TFT. (Miller recently announced a millermatic 355 DC pulse mig only unit for 2022). USAWeld's HTP Propulse is a great line and has lots of positive feedback about it's customer service regarding resolving issues with the product. Their propulse 300 mts is right this moment over 1000 more than miller's multimatic 255 mts.
Just a heads up to those who are starting with welding. Changing leads to change process is something you'll do so rarely it literally won't make a difference to you, in fact you usually have to move them anyways. Say you're TIG welding a small tank on a truck and want to go to MIG larger pieces on the same truck, you'll want to move your torch out of the way so you can have a comfortable work area. That being said Miller is a terrible brand overall. They have the smoothest arc but fall flat on everything else. Not reliable, features to cost are pathetic, repair costs are garbage, parts are brand locked. That being said ESAB and EVERLAST are better comparisons. But the sales experience is concerning
well here I am deciding whether i get the miller, esab, or everlast. and im pretty convinced now, even tho the esab is now 3850 which is near double the everlast. cyberweld has a 200 buck gift card and a free 580 helmet with esab. so i think id be going that route for a grand more lol. ps i think everlast is made in china.
Damn thank you fo this video, I'm currently stocking a workshop with welders & I was looking at Everlast because of social media hype but now I've narrowed it to ESAB & Miller
I just bought the lightning mts275 model from them about 1 month after the time you posted this video. If we are thinking of the same guy in their sales dept then yeah half the time he came off like I was being a nuisance by asking questions. But he did hook me up with a torch upgrade for cheap so it made it worth it
There are only two things to do to go from MiG to TIG on the ESAB. Switch the connector from the MiG gun to the foot switch for the TIG. Then plug the TIG torch into the negative and the work plug into the positive. That’s it, other than going to the TIG function, which you have to do with every machine. Who goes from MiG to TIG and back during welding? I never do. I’m either welding in MiG or TIG, or stick (rarely!), or flux core. It takes a minute to switch, unless you’re changing MiG wire. That’s always a hassle. Everlast is a second tier company. They’re ok, but their support is questionable. When I bought my ESAB, I called them up as a had a few questions. I happened to mention that there was a small gauge on the rear handle, just in passing. The guy wanted to send me another machine. I had to persuade him that it was fine. Meanwhile if your Everlast breaks down, they expect you to open it and run tests. No, unless you volunteer to do that, they shouldn’t require it, but they do. That’s a no no.
I am looking at buying a used esab rebel 205. The dc tig does not work and the seller told me he was quoted $2500 cd to fix it if they had the part, which they don't because they don't make it any more. If that is the case that does not look good on esab.
That's the exact reason why I went with a primeweld TIG 225x because how much of a jerk off the guy is at Everlast I've had my welder for 2 years now and I have never been happier and I've even purchased the maxcool 3000 water cooler from primeweld and CK worldwide flex lock fl230 water cooled TIG torch on my machine now too!!!! Best money I've ever spent all because of great customer service!!
I can second the poor customer service I attempted to contact the representative on eBay and I had multiple questions in my message and only one of em got answered, I don't get it like did the person just not read the entire message or just couldn't be bothered to answer them.
I apologize you had a bad experience on the phone, we always strive to give the best customer service possible. One of our customer service guys passed earlier this year, so we have been down a man and doing our best to replace him. Everyone is working overtime to pull the extra weight. As for the machines being outside, they are being loaded onto the freight truck that is also shown I'm the picture. The handicap space, it is the owners vehicle and he has a legal handicap placard. Hopefully that addresses all the issues raised on this video.

If you are going take responsibility, take responsibility. Don't make excuses and blame bad customer service on a dead employee. That's so very classless, like owners parking gaudy cars in handicap spaces. If you are open and answering the phone, your people should be courteous and helpful. It's not complicated. Maybe you should have reached out directly to RepairGeek and apologized instead of this pitiful attempt above.
@@SalientDebate after they made these comments. The CEO attempted to reach out to me. No longer needing a welder, I ignored them. It's funny how people suddenly care when you post your experience online.
the problem is that the esab is now $4,000.... you pointed out some concerning things about everlast, but as long as the machine performs decently im thinking i might risk it.
Nope MTS225. Add a comparable torch and foot pedal and not what comes with your machine to make it equivalent to the other machines on the market, and your machine is: $2,165.00 Esab Rebel 205 AC/DC: Right now on Cyberweld. $2599. No tax free shipping and locally serviceable...
@@EverlastSales same pedal as what? The Nova stuff isn't standard. Like I said, add in another 100 bucks for a foot pedal and torch to match the pedal and torch that comes standard on the Esab and Miller. That way you are comparing apples to apples.
@@EverlastSales I tried to when I called you guys on 5/15/2020 but, I guess it's my fault? Great customer service! At least on here, how you treat potential customers is out in the open.
Hey bud! loving the videos. Just curious if after a couple years you'd still recommend your Bendpak hoist? I watched all your videos on it, I was just curious if your opinion has changed any after owning it for so long and using it with different vehicles etc.I'm looking at hoists now, but my options locally boil down to the Bendpak or a less affordable Rotary. Let me know what you think! Again awesome videos!
Yes I do. It will be 3 years ago this month I installed the lift. Ive had 1 ton diesel trucks on it all the way down to a Honda fit. The build quality could be a lot better but I've never felt unsafe working under a vehicle. I know the prices have gone up by like 700 bucks compared to when I bought 3 years ago. As long as you're buying something ALI certified I don't think you can go wrong. If you want a Bendpak id look at Danmar first. I believe they are made in the same factory in China they just put different paint on them. I dont know that for certain but they look extremely similar.
After reading your comment on the negative thumbs down spamming from Everlast, I just really wanted to compensate with a positive feedback. This is why youtube exists in the fist place! Free speech! It upsets me companies dedicate time and effort to put youtubers down.
Great investigative work on the Everlast facility. I live in southern California and I see these business owners with high-end cars park like this all the time. Typically in the medical field such as pharmacies, dentists, chiropractors, etc. They feel entitled being the owner of the businesses and feeling like they can park anywhere they want including the handicap zones. I typically steer clear of such businesses as I feel such people put their earnings ahead of their employees and customers. Just FYI, I'm a strong believer is capitalism and have no issues with the 1% or even the .0001%. Douchebagism is douchebagism.

@@EverlastSales First off, spelling & grammar. Second, it doesn't matter if it's PRIVATE property or not, handicap spaces are for those who genuinely need them & display the proper permit. If he were to park in the grass or the warehouse, etc. then that's up to him... But handicap spaces are off limits unless you have a permit. IF he's truly in need, then I think he can make a better effort of displaying his permit or getting plates that show his permit already.
I've noticed a pattern with commercial grade suppliers who also sell retail. They have a relative tendency to treat you like hot garbage for a mere 2-6 thousand dollar purchase when they sell industrial machines for 50 grand. Had the most awful purchasing experience from Powermatic, and also Laguna tools. Powermatic was breathtakingly awful.. Laguna just sloppy and not set up for customers with any problems.
Nice eval of the features. I too dislike companies that do not want to work to earn your business, even something like good telephone manners. I have the same welding table as you do, and will probably build a small one of my own. I would really like to see you do a table build, if that is something you are planning. Or hear your thoughts on which one you chose.
Funny on that parking job, at their old building I was there and the owner parked his Porsche on the wrong side of the street, IOW, the wrong way in front of their building. I'm pretty sure that's the owner's car, but don't know for certain. They do sell a lot of machines, and have a lot of failures. Horrible customer support, I sold my green weenie and will never buy another Everlast machine. I replaced my Everlast i-Tig 201 with an Esab Miniarc Rogue 180i, I also have a Primeweld 225x. No more green weenies for me, EVER!
@@AmosMosesJr 2 years ago when I bought my Everlast he had a Porsche. I don't know what that car is in the video, but it looks like the owner is going through mid-life crisis, and rightfully so, he probably makes good money. The customer service is known to be crappy from Everlast, unless you're some sort of YT or IG celebrity.
I totally agree with your analogy of Everlast! I am glad you showed me the goggle picture of the red sports car in the handicap parking spot, just put icing on the cake for me! I contacted Everlast, as you did and like you, they did not want to talk about the product, only get my credit card number to order one. I was only in my gathering information stage and I wanted to make an informed decision. To me, the salesperson was not knowledgeable at all. I did like the five-year warranty, I ended up purchasing an ESAB 215ic, wish I would have waited for 205ic (both AC and DC Tig) 215ic only DC. So now I am in the market for a Tig welder, But I can tell you what it won't be! Thanks again for the info. Best of luck with your business.
Get it off your chest. Lol. I agree 100% if someone does me wrong then F em. I have a couple Hobarts and have contacted them with questions they are really knowledgeable, friendly, and even return your call. Service is part of s purchase and if they don't give s shit or can't be bothered then neither can I. 👍
I hope you know that you can swap out the Torch on any machine. You don't need to buy the lead every time you buy a Torch. They sell the heads on their own. I switch torches a the time 😆
Handicap spaces are required for ALL buildings by law... but if you are in an industrial setting the spaces never get used. At my place of work, an industrial factory, the handicap spaces are required, but they sit empty, literally, every day. I don't blame the guy for using a space that is, more than likely, never used. If you have never worked at a factory I could imagine how this is not common knowledge.
I was thinking the same thing, there's a good chance that customers never visit and if they have no handicap employees then that spot will always be open. It also allows more room between his car and other cars which makes it less likely to get scratched or dinged
That goes for nearly everywhere. Most are empty all the time. What are the odds all the handicapped spaces will be needed at any particular time? Nearly zero. But don't let the handicapped Gestapo see you parked in one.
You know... there's a REASON why it's SUPPOSED to be unused though.... right? so a handicapped person COULD use it. FFS trying to rationalize a dick move. Yeah that space is always open at the front of the store so who cares if I use it to go shopping. I once saw a POLICE OFFICER park in the crosshatch in between two handicap spots and then casually stroll into true value and do personal shopping. blocked two handicap spots AND the ramp AND the store entrance. Just because he could.
Boa noite. Para eu a everlast é a melhor!!!!!!!! Vocês conseguem enviar para o Brasil Uma power mts 252 sti ac\dc tig bivolt com todos os componentes da máquina? Quanto fica
then how can you recommend something more than the other if you have not used the other brands? It is like saying you do not like the taste of bananas if you have not tried once eating a banana?
To those of you who say that a genuinely handicapped person wouldn't own a ferrari, get better. A friend of mine had a bagged 1500 chevrolet pickup that I've literally watched him struggle to get into an out of from his wheel chair hundreds of times, because he likes the truck. To the point of making me feel bad watching him getting in and out. It's uncomfortable, but he's a car guy. Stop treating the handicapped like they're incapable of getting what they want just because they're handicapped. I'm not saying this guy is. He might not be. But a, hippa means it's none of your god damned business if he is, and b, you're the kind of people who yelled at me when I was riding with my boy for parking in handicapped parking because they assumed it was me driving. Be better.
Absolutely, I am a car guy. Cant afford a Ferrari, but I love my Mustang. Even if it is low to the ground and sometimes hard to get in and out of. Also have dealt with rhematoid arthritis since I was 11 months old. But you wouldn't know it by looking at me. Even been yelled at for "using someone elses handicap pass" before. It was mine, given to me by my Dr.
ah hahaha!!!! did you get a lot of 'ya ya ya" treatment from him as well??? Like seriously, as a potential new customer you just want to get the warm fuzzies that they want your business. As many of the comments above and below a common trend seems to be a lack of interest in the little guy which is unfortunate.
Everlast has wonderful customer service. I have especially recieved phenominal phone support from Tatiana. She is always lovely and very professional. I hope you give them a second chance as I have had many great experiences purchasing from them.
I had a great experience with everlast . Before i purchased the MTS 275, I researched the same 3 brands as you. If you look up the specs and features on all 3 brands, the mts 275 blows the other 2 away. Pulse tig, 60% duty cycle, ect, do the research. I call Everlast tech support, before i purchased my unit. Just to see who i got, i got a very very helpful tech. Who even gave me his cellphone # for future help with problems or operating questions. Right there i was sold! $2500.00 with free shipping And a nova pedal and torch up grade. 👍
How often do you think that handicapped people visit Everlast? California has gone WAY overboard on the handicapped space mandate. That's a really dumb reason to pass on their product.
I would like to add my personal experience for 3 years now of talking with the Everlast Sales and support department. I have always experienced nothing but great responses and support. I do agree with everyone that Sales and Customer Support is important. I would caution negative feedback if you have not had personal experience. The Everlast Powertig and i-Mig 140E welders have been very good welders for me for about three years now.
Anecdotal evidence is unreliable and unverifiable. All it takes is one bad experience and a lifetime of brand dedication can be destroyed. Couple that with a popular TH-cam channel and one irritated customer service rep can cost a company a lot of money.
intents and purposes*** your entire video and experience is now null and void because you said that wrong, and because you complained for 3 entire minutes about parking on private property. Only kidding, I would have responded the exact same way to your customer service experience, especially when spending thousands of dollars on a product. google maps was a little much haha. Thanks for the video, I am currently juggling my options, and Miller is now officially out because of the proprietary cable you mentioned. I hadn't heard that before, and that kind of proprietary stuff is the reason I will never buy an Apple product either.
Not to be the one that corrects you. But many states have a license plate that is handicapped approved with no hang tag needed. So that’s kind of a stupid reason for exclusion. I did buy the Esab 205 also but not because someone parked in a handicap spot.
Why for the love of crawfish do you care about someone parking their car ? You assume that car has NO handicap license plate . Keep your overviews about welding purchases within the scope of the topic . Geez dude Ya sound like a whiny kid .
Picked a welder partly due to a random Ferrari parked in a handicap space? Disregards the actual capability...lol🤣 Have you compared the product support video between all 3 companies on youtube? .....Not even close. One company has more than the other 2 COMBINED....
hello, hope you’re having a good day sir. imagine taking the time to zoom in on a location and accusing a car of wrongfully being in a handicap spot. for all u know, there might be a handicap symbol on the license plate. i’m sure that the people that are working there are ethical and churning out a brilliant product. think before u speak bud.
In regards to the handycapped Ferrari driver, plated as such or not, if you can get in and out of that car then you can walk the extra 30 or 40 feet across the fricken parking lot. I see handycap privilege frequently abused by people perfectly able to move about unrestricted. On topic: I was about to buy an Everlast. Now I am not sure since your video has given me reason for pause. Thumb up!
People like you "who see perfectly unrestricted people move about" have no idea what its like for those of us with "invisible disabilities" I to enjoy sports cars, now I dont have a Ferrari but a Mustang. I was born with juvenile rhematoid arthritis. Walking can be very painful for me especially in the winter months. Yet, YOU would never know it by just looking at me. So if you see someone with a handicap pass, give them the benefit of the doubt whether you think they should have it or not.
I’m sorry. I thought this was about the welding machine. I don’t want to get involved in a urinating distribution contest but I really don’t want to hear about what the owner drives or where he parks. That’s his business. I am only responsible for what I do or say. So I’ll say this, get over yourself and grow up! For the money the Everlast product is a much better buy. If you want to shoot yourself in foot or wallet because someone hurt your feelings, go ahead. My grandmother called that a bought lesson. By the way I’ve been welding 40+ years and know what’s I’m talking about. AWS/CWI 97040121.
Shows the mentality of the leadership and clearly it's trickling down to the sales department. Overall it just gave me a bad gut feeling. Now reading Everlast's comments on this video confirms I made the right choice.
Why I am NOT buying an ESAB Rebel welder is because it is built in CHINA !! If I need to get a Chinese welder, I'll buy it at Harbor Freight . Guys, support our country, buy USA !!
Who makes a USA made multiprocess welder? Miller, ESAB, and Everlast are China. The Lincoln multiprocess welder is made in Mexico and doesn't have nearly as many functions.

If you want to stick with LOTOS you can have an AC/DC TIG, Stick and a plasma cutter for just over $800

I'll tell you what, you got a like and subscribe from me man. Don't let red rarri guy sway you. 👏👏
Paid for by everlast...
This is a hilarious video. Agree 100% on pre-sales support experience being a good benchmark for what you might get post-sales. Keep up the good work!
im glad you showed the car in the handicap spot. i went with esab instead.
Things like the owner's attitude, and customer service are important. We all need to be a little more conscious of voting with our dollars.
I will give it to ESAB their customer service is on point, I've got a 205 aswell.
I'm stuck between a multimatic 255 or a esab 285ic I just can't decide which is best
Love to know how well it’s held up after 2yrs and any issues you may have had.
FYI.
Queestion can you conect to this machine pull and push mig gun for aluminium welding and
the mig gun have alsou the puls welding? Thanks Pete
Thank you for your totally honest review, I want to buy the everlast, now I am going to call them before I do. I will be a ninja!
Is AHP affiliated with Everlast? I see AHP boxes in their parking lot.
How about a follow up review of the 205?
Send me an email and I'd be happy to send you a picture of whatever you need.
Repairgeek365@gmail.com
Of course it has pulse tig for aluminum it’s called a foot pedal
look at their street view now, its even better lol
I would definitely love to see some content of you building a welding cart , for I myself am thinking of building one as well.
The ESAB fan is either off or on. It doesn't turn on until it's needed but, it's not quiet when it's running.
@@RepairGeek Thats good the one I was looking at a 190 pro I think, it ran continuously when turned on.
FML, this model went from $2500 to $4,000. Missed this boat lol.
It’s frustrating me
You should be able to lift arc. I seen it on a few videos.
E A but without the pedal?
@@PhunkyNomad any machine that has lift arc you can do without the pedal. The pedal is just so you can throttle the amperage. Start low push to desired heat and drop it slow at the end to avoid fish eyes.
@@PhunkyNomad i just ordered one so it better 😆
E A i thought that to but I just returned my rebel 205 it has lift arc but it only functions with the pedal .... it only works with the pedal and with the button on the torch ....I’m going to have to get a miller now .
I know your probably not into flux core wire but can you demo that please? I use a lot of inner shield with my fronius but I’m thinking of picking one of these up
If I get some more requests sure but, as of now I don't have any flux core wire.
Trying to make this decision myself. Leaning toward the Miller. Mainly for speed of changing processes...
Yep that is the biggest advantage to the miller by far. I've had no issues with my ESAB. Still love it.
That so cool that you went to google maps, San Fran sucks away.
Yeah but no legitimately handicapped person is going to buy a car as uncomfortable or hard to get into as a Ferrari.
Lol that's 100% Oleg's car and he is 100% not fkn handicapped 🤣 I don't care one way or the other tbh, just calling a spade a spade.
@@sasca854 probably is. I still brought that Lightning MTS 275 though... Love that thing, and had an excellent sales experience 😁. Weld mean, weld green 💚
What can you say about Esab EMP 215iC.....cheers
Not much. I only know what you can read on the internet about it. I wanted an all in one AC/DC machine so I went with the 205.
Print this out and frame it-- someone has something negative about Miller to say. I lived long enough to see it!
well here I am deciding whether i get the miller, esab, or everlast. and im pretty convinced now, even tho the esab is now 3850 which is near double the everlast. cyberweld has a 200 buck gift card and a free 580 helmet with esab. so i think id be going that route for a grand more lol. ps i think everlast is made in china.
Damn thank you fo this video, I'm currently stocking a workshop with welders & I was looking at Everlast because of social media hype but now I've narrowed it to ESAB & Miller
Go Miller. Made in the US!
Love the multimatic and theres tons of torches available from ck and they sell the gas thru connector. Just thought id let you know.
Great video ...good job by doing the backround search.
He should try displaying it because he seems to have a habit of not displaying it.

I would think that a handicapped person would park in a way that the handicap plate or whatever is displayed. BTW, nice job of parking.
the problem is that the esab is now $4,000.... you pointed out some concerning things about everlast, but as long as the machine performs decently im thinking i might risk it.
How to order esab rebel from philippines
The MTS 225 is $1000 less than the ESAB, not $200. I think you must've been referring to the MTS 275 in the pricing comparison.
Nope MTS225. Add a comparable torch and foot pedal and not what comes with your machine to make it equivalent to the other machines on the market, and your machine is: $2,165.00

Repair Geek mts225 comes with same pedal and super flex cable size 26 torch
@@EverlastSales same pedal as what? The Nova stuff isn't standard. Like I said, add in another 100 bucks for a foot pedal and torch to match the pedal and torch that comes standard on the Esab and Miller. That way you are comparing apples to apples.
Repair Geek you need to do little better research .....
Exactly!
He is handicap, its also privet property and that day he just forgot to display it
@@EverlastSales seems like he has a habit of not displaying it... Or did he forget then as well?

@@EverlastSales First off, spelling & grammar. Second, it doesn't matter if it's PRIVATE property or not, handicap spaces are for those who genuinely need them & display the proper permit. If he were to park in the grass or the warehouse, etc. then that's up to him... But handicap spaces are off limits unless you have a permit. IF he's truly in need, then I think he can make a better effort of displaying his permit or getting plates that show his permit already.
@@RepairGeek Scroll down to the 4th photo, there's TWO vehicles in the handicap spot & load area.
Maybe they have a handicap license plate like I do because I am permanently disabled. Stop judging without all the facts.
If he has a handicap license plate, perhaps he should have the required front license plate according to California law...
Andrew Linn didn’t know that law. Good point we only run one in Ohio.
Still you never know maybe they will respond. 😂
Nice eval of the features. I too dislike companies that do not want to work to earn your business, even something like good telephone manners.
I have the same welding table as you do, and will probably build a small one of my own. I would really like to see you do a table build, if that is something you are planning. Or hear your thoughts on which one you chose.
I have 2 of these weld tables. I'm going to look at converting one of them into a folding fixture table.
It's a Ferrari but yeah that makes it even funnier.
Pulse Tig (DC only) 1 - 500p/s on Esab.
I switch torches a the time 😆
Yep I'm aware. Currently running a CK superflex 17.
i just watched a video on the miller and they ran pulse
Not on AC tig they didnt.
@@RepairGeek no it was dc. i couldve swore u said the miller and esab dont have pulse with no reference to ac/dc
maybe im wrong
@@RepairGeek ok i was listening and not watching lol. u did say they dont have pulse but had a note on screen mentioning ac pulse @4:20
Has the machine ever sounded like a jet engine?
When the fan is on its loud.
Was the guy from Everlast that you spoke to named "Alex"?
Has a foreign accent of some kind, possibly East Europen or Middle-Eastern
ah hahaha!!!! did you get a lot of 'ya ya ya" treatment from him as well??? Like seriously, as a potential new customer you just want to get the warm fuzzies that they want your business. As many of the comments above and below a common trend seems to be a lack of interest in the little guy which is unfortunate.
FRONIUS
Everlast has wonderful customer service. I have especially recieved phenominal phone support from Tatiana. She is always lovely and very professional. I hope you give them a second chance as I have had many great experiences purchasing from them.

No AC tig on that machine.
2nd that on Everlast.
Everlast has a horrible customer service from reviews i seen on line
$200 extra for Esab? You mean $1800 more for Esab.
Not 2 years ago...
It is NEVERLAST. So good for you choosing ESAB.
Everlast just plain sucks, ask anyone that has had to have warranty work done!
Heck ya want to see it all man
Idk but I have to everlast love them 250 amp ac dc tig cooler pulse the works favorite machine 250ex
more features more problems, going for miller.
You get for what you pay
How often do you think that handicapped people visit Everlast? California has gone WAY overboard on the handicapped space mandate. That's a really dumb reason to pass on their product.
Almost 2 years later. I have zero regrets.
I thought it was a Dewalt welder ;-)
This video does not gives me any useful information about the machines. 😕 except what I experience as a lot of judgmental comments.
intents and purposes*** your entire video and experience is now null and void because you said that wrong, and because you complained for 3 entire minutes about parking on private property.
I mean, he doesn't have the required California front plate either.
You complain alot
Why for the love of crawfish do you care about someone parking their car ? You assume that car has NO handicap license plate . Keep your overviews about welding purchases within the scope of the topic . Geez dude Ya sound like a whiny kid .
UM
Picked a welder partly due to a random Ferrari parked in a handicap space? Disregards the actual capability...lol🤣 Have you compared the product support video between all 3 companies on youtube? .....Not even close. One company has more than the other 2 COMBINED....
hello, hope you’re having a good day sir. imagine taking the time to zoom in on a location and accusing a car of wrongfully being in a handicap spot. for all u know, there might be a handicap symbol on the license plate. i’m sure that the people that are working there are ethical and churning out a brilliant product. think before u speak bud.
The car has no front license plate. As far as I'm aware front plates are required in California. I may be wrong.
There's always this guy 😂
Did you pay for that haircut? Asking for a friend
Better than being bald. Go back to work lol.
Believe me I'm over myself haha. You're the one dropping your resume in a TH-cam comment...
What does the car have to do with the product? Who watching this garbage?
