This video to me looks pretty close to the same kind of fishing that we do on the Ohio River my dams are Robert c Byrd Winfield Lock and dam greenup dam across the border in Kentucky but my question to you is what do you think happens to the majority of the river population of walleyes or saugers when the water temperature warms up and we enter into the months of June July August September they virtually seem like they have disappeared and I cannot make contact with them anywhere I've tried deep water trolling and cannot seem to ever even catch a single fish well as just one any insight Tom?
Tom, i have never seen a more informative episode than this one on technique and walleye behavior for this time of the season. you nailed everything you said. The blade bait is a great lure that should be in every walleye fishers tackle box especially this time of year. We also concentrate on walleye for most of our episodes. it would be an honor if you could leave me a comment on one of my vids because it is my opinion that you are one of the best walleye anglers on you tube , especially when it comes to teaching technique. 😩 I’ve been waiting all winter for warmer weather to go ice fishing (it’s been frigid this winter in NW Ontario). Then we got 3’ of additional snow in February and slush is really bad now. To top it off, the ice on the Rainy River won’t likely be off before the season closes so no early open walleyes either. Too sad!!
Man haven't been on your channel since ice season hit. Back at it again with open water. Time to indulge more of Tommie boy's content, like Tai Lopez says, "KNOWLEDGE!" open water fishing! How do you keep your motor from freezing up after a long day on the water with freezing nights?
The way i do it is when i get the boat out of the water i tilt it all the way down let the water drain out for a bit and then I start it and rev it up real quick and shut it off this drains all or most of the water out. Have done it this way for years.

Looks like trempelow. Red wing has all kinds of buildings on shore. Good by every dam in the spring. I used to fish Tremp, red wing, fountain city, lacresent. I live in northern MN now. 3 feet of ice and 4 feet of snow. Season just closed.

What pool are you guys on where there's open water??
That's pool 4, two ramps on the pool stay open year round except the coldest of the cold days when they may freeze up but they're open now.
