Wow buddy that’s awesome you got one , well it’s quite typical of traxxas prices to be high but will say the price of admission is normally high but parts are cheap ! And traxxas plastics in my opinion are some of the best in the business. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it . Loved the fact that traxxas has finally acknowledged the Bec issue and given a selectable Bec on the 4s . Does seem to handle well this buggy , just underpowered Stay awesome Larry buddy Chris 🤙😎🚀👊🤘🤩
Watch in time for Christmas after the loyal buyers get on I see the typical sale of a free charger and battery making the price a little better lol Your exactly right higher buy in price but parts are cheaper like to add a tqi gyro reciver is half what Spektrum wants. The plastics are great and very tough and wow this thing is super light it will be a rocket on 4s but they will want 520 for it then and you have so many 4s cars already at this price point I dont understand what they are thinking but they better wake up lots of competition cant wait to see the Rlaarlo buggy the just teased.
Thank you very much for the support and its exactly one of the comparisons I will be doing because your right as I mentioned in this video the Syncro4 is just 20 bucks more and you can usually get a deal through some sites making it cheaper
I forgot to mention how light this rc is I dont have the weight, but it is crazy light I really dont see this being stable on 4s it will be interesting to see this think is like the weight of a Grom even though its the same size as my 6S Typhon the Arrma is considerably heavier.
Brother, you know you’re my buddy so I’ve gotta be strait up about this RC… it is very slow (for most everyone) so I did the math of how much money it will take to make it a VXL. $400+ is what it will cost on top of being overpriced from the start… you will not be happy with its performance because you like your RC’s a certain way and this ain’t that way. In my opinion… we’ll see
I dont see that many complaints on a 300 dollar grom I didnt make the car I am just sharing it not everyone wants a 60mph rocket people still buy Tamiyas and after you include all the parts its expensive and not the fast its not always about speed is it durable yes does it run good yes gear it up then you dont have to go crazy with parts 520 for a vxl so its way cheaper to retrofit this right?
@ I get it… I just really think they did everybody wrong with this rig. You’ll make it cool (you always do😎) and I’m sure I’ll find something I like about it then… but as of now… yuk
That damn thing has plastic “GTR” shocks… Traxxas knew people would buy it for that exorbitant price then they hope you buy mostly Traxxas upgrades and dump another $350 not including electronics!! They know exactly what they were doing to us round eye😉
Your not dumping that kind of money into this Arrma still has crap clip on shocks at least these are threaded I dont get why you hate the car so much you keep looking at speed and 2s not the metal diffs, heavy duty axles threaded gtx shocks is it expensive a little bit Traxxas parts are cheaper than Arrrma but Arrma is cheaper to buy give and take I bet I will have this over 60 mph for under 100 and it will handle it unlike the Groms breaking axles under stock power
@ it’s just that they left it bare freakin naked! Have you sat and looked at how much stuff is upgraded on the VXL? My lord, you would have to spend a ton of money”if” you wanted it to be identical to the VXL. Now that VXL is great right out of the box. No need for upgrades. It has them all
@ and I don’t “hate” the RC . I just strongly feel that they could have released them both at the same time. It would have just been better for a lot of people if they did it that way, the right way, you get my point bro?
I think the majority of the people that buy this are going to immediately put a 4s power system in it, then upgrade what breaks, rather than buying the one coming out in January or February . lt looks like it handles and jumps perfectly and with Traxxas quality. Really interested to see if it's competitive indoor racing. Thanks for the video!
Thank you very much yesI see a lot of people upgrading it for some might like it the way it is I like the way it seems built to handle extra power so I think it will take a 4s with out much effort I forgot to mention how light the rc is 4s might be a bit too much we will see
Its a solid car lots of room to improve but yes this is going to get Traxxxas in trouble with new buyers they are relying too heavily on brand loyalty to sell anything they want if I didnt have this channel I would have passed on it but its good for content and it will be fun to work on
It looks like a nice package for a novice like myself. I like to go to a local indoor clay track and practice. I have no intention to ever compete, and just like to do my own thing for recreation. This hobby is good for the soul! For clay track use, my favorite so far is the Team Associated RB10 which is a 2wd RTR buggy that I highly recommend. The Traxxas Jato looks like it competes with the Arrma Typhon which you showed in your first video about it. For backyard use, my favorite is a Traxxas Stampede VXL 4X4 or my Team Associated MT10 brushed. For our residential street, I like the Traxxas 4-tec 2.0 brushed Ford GT.
All in all its a very solid rc its just a bit underpowered for a lot of people but like you stated its perfect for what you want and that's why they make this and have the 4s coming soon
Great video man.. I agree with pretty much everything's youve said.. I mentioned on a few other videos that the electronics need a refresh.. especially the transmitter.. I mean they get the job done.. but that thing is so old.. people are just tired of it.. lol.. so definitely time for a change. I don't think the car is horrible but for the money.. eh.. it's a bit much ..I mean look at the 3s arrma lineup .. or the team corally synchro.. I decided to not bite on this one.🤙🏽
Thank you very much and I appreciate the support. The bl2s is new electronics for them but I cant figure out why put so much into a 2s system. I kind of like the remotes lol at least one remote can bind multiple cars so when you have the Bluetooth module you only need one unlike the Arrma you need one for every car or get the better remote I do wish Traxxas would come out with something like the Dx6 with a screen on top to see telemetry that would be great. They are expecting too much from brand loyalty just throwing out higher and higher prices and Team Corally is really going to shine through now we will see if they wake up or go away like Sears and Kmart lots of competition now
Nice video and review, it is overpriced for a 2s system. The Team Corally Syncro4 is more for your money in my opinion. I will be watching to see the comparison between the 2. Keep up the great work.
Thank you very much I agree the Syncro4 already was a deal when it came out now its even better when you compare it to this not sure why they think it needs to be so expensive
As always man thanks for the honesty!! I feel like the entire buggy is missing the mark in so many ways. I’d take a typhon over this 100% of the time. I feel like traxxas at this point is all about the Benjamins anymore and lacking innovation.
Thank you very much for your trust in my opinion. On one hand if you take the price out of it then its a good rc still underpowered as far as I am concerned but its a great handling setup. Why they insist on a 2s system and why they think its worth more than many other 3 and 4s setups is beyond me blind loyalty to one brand some people will buy anything they put out but it will only last so long
@ yea I don’t Understand the 2s especially when the old 12 turn titan motor was just as fast. As a company, they could do really great things for the hobby, but it always seems like they are after the money
The 3s_4s system for $180 extra, maybe a few other extras in that model 🤔 But, how much would it cost to make the 2s into 4s 🤔, I think it would be wiser to wait for the VXL🤨
@floydblue1783 different tires you can certainly do what you want I wouldn't ever say something is wiser it fits your needs and wallet fine thats your call doesn't make it wiser per say I will have a 4s long before they release one and you will see the cost to do it and you can go to traxxas and see the difference
The problem isn't so much the 25MPH as It's the paying $350 for the 25MPH. If the chassis is teally good-and it seems like it is, $280 would be reasonable.
@Diaszurana I will be doing some comparisons soon it will probably be a bit embarrassing for them but they wont care they rely on brand loyalty I agree its expensive the blx is even worse
you fail to realize how light this rc is your looking at top speed that doesnt mean anything on a track 2s is plenty for indoors 3s for outside and it will stick like its on rails.
Wow buddy that’s awesome you got one , well it’s quite typical of traxxas prices to be high but will say the price of admission is normally high but parts are cheap !

Dont worry I have some comparisons coming up
Very underwhelming for the price…25mph out of the box is terrible

I feel sorry for the people who bought this, but then i dont🤷

$50 more than a 60mph valkyrie? Are you kidding me? For this?
They seem to think its worth it time will tell
Oh ya and why did they call it a Jato? It looks nothing like the OG Jato. They should have named it something else.🤷♂🤷♂
Dont know what they were thinking naming it after a nitro rc
