We started our street food tour in the morning by having breakfast at a famous local bakery. We had Simit and Bursa famous Tahinli pide.

To continue our street food tour in Bursa, we went for a second breakfast to a very local shop famous for İşkembe Çorbası.

To digest all the street food we had, we went to explore the beautiful city of Bursa a little bit. We walked around Kapalı Çarşı, the local Grand Bazaar.
While we were walking around the Bazaar, we bumped into a sign that led us to a very local gem. We had çiğ börek and Ayran and a lot of fun. People in Turkey are so friendly.

To continue our street food tour in Bursa, we couldn't miss the roasted chestnut. You can find little stalls all over the street.
After that, we went to Koza Han for a walk and to have a delicious Turkish coffee at FULL CAFE.
To continue our street food tour, we went for lunch to try one of the most famous foods in Bursa, cantik pide.

Moving on with our street food tour, we went to check out the local wet market where we found some interesting things like types of dates and a way of grinding salt never seen before.
And right across the street, we found a little cart selling Hurma tatlisi, date shaped dessert soaked up in sugar syrup and topped with coconut.
For dinner, we went to eat a dish that we've tried in the past but this Master takes it to the next level. Pilav is served with chopped chicken, liver, tomatoes, and chickpeas. As a dessert, he make a very special süt helvası, milk pudding topped with crushed nuts. Turkey has one of the street food.

We couldn't end our street food tour in Bursa without eating the famous Iskender kebab. We went to one of the most and oldest shops in town to meet the King of Iskender kebab and try this special dish. Without a doubt one of the most delicious Iskender Kebab I ever tried so far in my Turkish street food series in Turkey.

Next time ask for Şıra (shira) with the Iskender Kebap when you go to the original Iskender Kebapçısı. It is slightly fermented grape juice and pairs very well with Iskender.

I lived in Bursa in late 90's. There was only a very small tea shop in the middle of Koza Han (where you had coffee). It's been years that I didn't have Cantık pide, it's really delicious and only can be found in Bursa.

My introduction to Iskender Kebab was in Bursa back in the Eighties. It was at a restaurant well known for Iskender Kebab. I used to work for the US Air Force and lived in Gemlik, just north of Bursa, and by the sea.

You should have seen Bursa 10 years ago :( People used to call Bursa as Yeşil Bursa(which mean Green Bursa because of the forests, parks etc) now its Grey Bursa :(

Next time when you are in Bursa again my friend try to eat Iskender. Bursa is the birthplace of iskender and they make it in the original form, you must try it, it's one of the traditionell food in bursa, the meat is so tender it melts in your mouth like butter🙂🧈👍🏼

My grandfather made cutlery figures as a hobby in the 70s 80s uk. Mainly birds and small mammals. They were amazing. No meaning I don't believe he just enjoyed making them.

Max. Max, Max, Max!! When you started eating the İskender kebab you absolutely killed me. I had to pause your video and make something to eat 🤤. İskender kebab is my absolute favourite kebab, but I always ask if the restaurant can replace the döner meat with lamb shish. Try it if you can, a lot of places seem almost offended like I commited blasphemy by just asking for it, but the taste is on a whole other level. And the tahinli bide/tahini cake is another favourite of mine; creamy, nutty, buttery and sweet all in one. Belisima. 🇮🇹🇹🇷🇬🇧✌🏼🕊️
