“Phasers set to stun” comes to mind when I see that radio. Nice truck, like the look. More of an indoor “crawler” I think.

I can vouch for the body spec. My 1984 RN50 Toyota has an Oct. ‘83 build date and was equipped with the Japanese style bed. Cool model!

Not sure about a 83 but the 87 Toyota 4x4 was the same 6 lug as Chevy, I've swapped wheels on them before

Honestly, if it were more yellow I think you'd be able to see it through the box.

yes i do like it and i do like reviews like this. I do also wish the doors opened to get at that sweet interior. I started out in 1/10 but have slowly been getting into the 1/16 scale stuff and its nice to see other smaller scale trucks hit the market. hopefully they keep improving to the paint of where 1/10's are now. thanks matt for another great video. off to watch your resin printer one next!

I personally am excited to see ANY hardbody support especially from the factory. I mean if new bright can make a whole rc car with a hardbody cheaper than you can get most poly bodys these days,, then the real rc companies can too.. I am in love with the new trx 69 blazer body but for over 150 for a clear poly body 😬😖 just obvious price gouging

And another RC company drops the"scale" ball. If you see a 1:1 Chevy and a Toyota in a parking lot, they are obviously different sizes. They obviously are trying to appeal to this side of the hobby and it would be great to see a company step up and make a bigger chassis for bigger vehicles. (Are you listening RC4WD?) This is the bane to my participation in this hobby! While I understand that they are saving money on the front end, there is definitely a strong market for this idea.

FMS is ticking some boxes, I can see them starting to gain a following. I like the looks of these although I do prefer the Chevy. Best of all, they are hardbodies and that opens it up to more painting and weathering possibilities. I think 1/18-scale offers more detail and versatility than 1/24-scale but I'd like to see more capable rigs than these 👍

Matt I have a general rc question that's a little off topic but is a FMS question.
My atlas runs faster in reverse.
    I've switched polarity
( negative to positive and negative to negative / positive positive on the wires from motor to esc connect ) etc
    I've switched direction via remote.
Doesn't matter it still stays faster in reverse.
I have a after market esc.
I've read about timing be retarded for longer battery life.
    That's above my knowledge.
Any advice. Or is this just maybe how it is?
    Thank you in advance. Cheers

    • @scalebuildersguild
      @scalebuildersguild  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I'd be curious to know what ESC it was before I could hazard an educated guess, but it's usually down to motor polarity and timing. You've tried the polarity already, so it might be the timing, or the ESC. If you let me know what ESC it is, I can try and do some research for you!
