i was 16 yrs old...seen QCK, Headpins, Toronto in RD, AB. 1st concert i ever seen...QCK and Headpins blew Toronto off the stage lol...ty for uploading this....
This band is a hidden jewel of 80's rock and roll. And being from such a small town they still made phenomenal music. Or maybe I just like them because my mom used drink growers cider, and dance all over the house to these guys while she cleaned and it was hilarious. Either way, great song!
@radarradarradarrider thanks, I love the sha la la la part!, I could imagine them playing it either when the team first comes onto the ice, or sometimes when they score a goal, with the crowd singing the sha-la-la-la-la! part.
no, I haven't. I'm stoked to check it out, thanks for the heads up! I'm surprised QCK's music has been covered more. would be awesome to hear it done with the newest recording tech. I'd love to hear Kid's World done with some thundering bass....
Chains & Bangin' On The Door were both recorded in the Royal Bank on the corner of Portage and Main, had all their equipment hanging from the ceiling for the sound they wanted, was the vault that slams shut on Bangin' On The Door
so many covers nowadays, it would be cool if a new band would cover some of these QCK songs. I would love to hear a modern version Kid's World pounding thru some serious audio equipment, rattling the windows.
I know, but I grew up in Winnipeg, and I was a fan. They got a lot of air play in Winnipeg.
despite their origins being reginan i think wpg was their real home.
Great Winnipeg band!!
They are from Regina

This song was made for Bob Hart during a track meet in 1984.......it might not have actually been made for that but it is what I remember it for.....
I love the random images in the background.
Hey Justdooit, have you heard the new record by Toque... they did an incredible cover of QCK's Dance and have another one coming out soon.

Got mixed feelings about this one. It sounds amazing! But lol, a bit derogatory for anything these days.. for a place like States anyways ;)
I started a campaign to try to get this made the theme song for the Ottawa Senators. The Ottawa Sun did an article about it.
