Hey Bro, thanks for the like. In reply to your question, I've got this rod and jigs from Plat Japan Fishing. At that time, they were doing sales on the Daiwa Emeraldas Rod and the Yama and other jigs. Hence the purchase. Give them a try. Their shipping time is awesome. One thing I dislike is that they charged extra for handling and shipping and also peak-season fees.
Why your reel have a straight part coming out in the right side? What is the use of that part? Thanks!
Hi Tak, it acts like a reel stand to protect your reel from stratches. Also acts as squid jig hook holder and also its hollow where you can insert glow tube in it. This reel stand is by DRESS and i bought it from isofishinglifestyle. Initially, it feel cool but as you can see, i don't use it anymore. Just because I fishes mostly at the jetties, those wooden floors wouldn't do much to my reel. Haha. You can get one if you like. It comes in range of colours. Make reel stands out.

how is this eging rod different from other rods like spinning rods
Compare to other rods, its stronger, longer, firmer, good parobolic action. a bit heavy for whipping (medium heavy rating) the rod blank is stiffer.
How big is your rod your using in feet
its about 8ft9inch bud. hence the name 89mh (mh stands for medium heavy action) so something to take note of. Cheers!

How much is the reel?
hey bud, this reel is the 2015 version. You can only get them from 2nd hand sellers. Prices varies. I got my off ebay australia from a seller in Japan for $600 aud. For that price, you are able to get a 2nd hand shimano stella which i think it's better value.
What reel
hey bud its the Daiwa Esmeraldas Air 2015. Hence you could try to get 2nd hand ones . I got mine from Ebay. I still using it. Just swap the gold handle to breaden blue double handle to match my rod.
