The reason GF is losing herself is because Whitty extended his “ballistic zone”(the dark, animated area) and if you don’t have a strong enough willpower while in it you’ll begin to go “ballistic” yourself. Even BF was beginning to feel it once he was in the area if you look close enough

Nenna, the reason everyone was going insane was due to the 'ballistic' zone Whitty created (which makes everyone ballistic) , you can see it grow to GF when whitty goes ballistic and it causes her to start attacking Bf/Whitty and after it grows to BF, who also went ballistic (judging by the eyes and powerful attack)
The zone affects the mentally weak and GF/BF arent very smart

they aren't, BUT ONLY if you refer to the og storyline (fnf's creator says they're both as dumb as heck, but a lot of mods prove otherwise)

That is correct, but there are a few things, in Chino's world of fnf, it seems girlfriend is a lot smarter, and I feel like she's fighting off the ballistic. Chino said that those with a weak psyche are more vulnerable to the ballistic, but girlfriend must have a strong psyche as she didn't go full on ballistic.

If you want Whitty’s backstory, here.
Whitty was made by a doomsday cult as a doomsday device. He got his name from a name tag he saw. Because he’s a doomsday device, the greater good (aka Updike’s team) is trying to kill him
The fire fight animation is apparently gonna become a mod. It says so later in the animation

Yup. That was Updike. And contrary to his appearance, he isn't a cloud. He's just really hairy. And actually it's not explicitly Whitty. The report reads the sensors detected anomalous behavior and he goes out to investigate it.
Editing to answer why Girlfriend went crazy there: Whitty has this ability called Ballistic Field. It drives everyone in its reach crazy. That's why she was attacking both of them.

Fun fact: the reason the "cloud" head guy is trying to kill Whitty is that whitty is actually a doomsday device but whitty escaped whoever made him and the cloud headed guy trying to get him cuz he thinks he'll blow up and if he blew up almost everyone will die and he's not just looking for what he's getting any type of people who have dangerous power like GF cuz this is why he was looking at them soo confused soo we can say he's a good guy but doesn't know that whitty isn't trying to hurt anyone

About the girlfriend bubble braking and the wavy walls. Im pretty sure that is caused by a radiation ballistic whitty give off in the mode. If you look closely ast the area where we see cloud man the map says "supernatural radiation" and im pretty sure girlfriends power could suppress it but she had to get the power to after her bubble broke.
