- There are airlines in the world that we don't hear about that often, although their offer is better than many others that we hear about more often. I think that with Saudia I have managed to find an airline that stands out from the grey average and that can offer something better than most. The exceptional friendliness of their cabin crew in their nice uniforms, the relaxing sand-coloured cabin, and the different approach to food service are all that make it special. All this is already true for economy class, but when it comes to business class, the offer is definitely even more "fresh" compared to Western airlines, and it can compete very well with Middle Eastern ones (like Emirates, Etihad, Oman Air etc.) too. The innovative food options and the unmistakable attention of the cabin crew to the business class passengers are convincing. I never thought that I would be served an exceptional avocado toast for breakfast onboard an aircraft, which tasted very fresh. But it is best to see it all for yourself in the video I have prepared.

I have the same flight today, the food amount is significantly reduced. I guess I had half of what you had, for breakfast i only had a plate of muesli, nothing else, literately nothing else, no croissants or fruits. overall the flight is quite pleasant. I slept quite well.

Hi Got2flyfar! Thanks for your report. I will be flying this same route soon; so it came in very handy! Very practical and glad to see the service on board which looks more than adequate to me. What was the crew like, service wise?
The crew was OUTSTANDING. So nice an attentative. They very happy to accomodate every need you had and were also inventive with the material they had at hand (like more blankets, food and drink options).

@@redspeedobcn Yes, I did connect in JED. The connection for SV flights is via the newly opened Terminal 1. The airport has little stores, but there is an airport hotel and 2 lounges, of which I tried out the Saudia Alfursan lounge (Skyteam loyalty with approopriate credentials can enter - if you are SkyTeam Elite Plus, you can bring 2 guests for free). I think the lounge also offeres paid entry at a. price of 42 USD. The facilities of the lounge are good. Slumber rooms are full nost of the time, also with people who aren’t acctually interested in sleeping. Food is ok, but don’t expect much. The best are cakes and sweets in the cafeteria part of the lounge. AC is quite strong in the lounge, bring warm cloths if you want to fall asleep on the chair. Food court outside of the lounge seems interesting, but I did not try it out this time.

I'm flying Saudia in July, so I was interested in the video. However, useless for me. The first 5 mins are about BKK airport, the rest of the video is business class and mostly focused on food.
Sorry to hear you felt left out by the video. Thr only think I left out was FA interaction. Seat is covered as much as light conditions allowed it in this night flight. And economy class video is coming up in a day or two.

Saudia does not have the foot rest in their 787s
