A little late of a food rec but I highly recommend Marugami Udon in downtown la. My favorite udon from there is the tonkatsu flavor because you get a piece of chashu pork, some green onion, and a rich broth to coat the udon in. Theres also a rice as an option if you're not into udon.
How was the crowding? I went to AX Last Year and it was super packed and quite dangerous on Day 1. From the video it seems like they are keeping the crowd under control and may have also lowered the limit of members this year.

Good question! AX brings in a lot more panels that I'm interested in compared to ANYC. I really enjoy the concerts at ANYC though. AX and ANYC both bring in big names for exhibitors and special guests. I hope you enjoy your first experience at ANYC and AX!

I highly recommend Hakata Ikkousha Ramen in Little Tokyo, the Pork broth is so delicious and the Takoyaki is super tasty!

I was pretty impressed this year! The crowd control improved compared to last year. There was a lot more security too.
