I love watching your videos. They are very educational. Got sleeved on 3/16/21 and the one with the liquid intake made so much sense! I was freaking out that I was able to almost hit the 64oz hydrating fluid within 2 days and saw that others couldn't even hit half. After seeing your video everything made sense. I am at ease and looking forward to a healthier future. Thanks Dr. Alvarez!
Thank you!! I was just sleeved 3/26/21. Many of the people who had their surgeries on the same day have moved on to thick liquids. I CANNOT tolerate that yet. Only clear liquids.
Excellent explanation!! I wondered why I was off an average I heard. I have even more appreciation for the uniqueness now I didn’t really think about different body shapes and sizes. Very interesting and educational. Thank you for helping us patients like this.
I’m just a few days short of two weeks post surgery at Endohospital. I noticed in the report the dimension of the bougie used was at the narrow end of the range but it makes sense considering my stomach was quite a bit longer than I had expected. Once solid foods are allowed, I expect to measure and weigh nearly everything to keep the portions the recommended size anyway.
I wish I would have watched this 1 months ago! I was freaking out because I saw my test results and the portion they took out was super small. I am 5’ft 230 lbs so I’m guessing since my sleeve was made for me I must have had a smaller stomach with less to cut. I just need to start believing in my surgeon. I can eat less than before and need to stop comparing myself to others.
Hello Lonnie! Well, the VSG surgery is recommended to people with 30 of BMI not less, the portion removed depends in that day on surgery, if you want more info you can send us an email to: info@endobariatric.com
I like you. I wish I had worked with you before deciding to do the weight loss surgery. I'm in day four of my gastric bypass with Sleve. Your videos have been so helpful. I'm sorry I found it after my procedure.
Sir I had gastric sleeve 2 years ago. Two months ago I had a sternectomy. I was on a liquid diet while in the hospital. Long story short it is hard for me to eat like I was prior to my sternectomy. I am eating now like I was 6 months after my gastric sleeve. Is this normal?
