Only the oldest of EF fans know how vindicating and how amazing this win was. Xantares left Big because he wanted to build the Turkish cs scene. 3 years of trudging along with close to 30 roster changes, virtually running through almost all the turkish players on the scene, only one guy stuck was Xantares. Now he has succeeded, EF has brought in new talents like Wicadia, Jotta and even Xfloud(whos in heroic right now) all from ef academy. Turkish people should be proud of Xantares, not only because hes the best player from turkey, but his patriotism has put Turkey on the cs map.
I dunno, I feel like ef has taken bigger wins before than this event. It’s a blast event where most of the top teams have shuffled their roster. They got second in epl and quarter in Copenhagen major to the eventual winner
I took an uber couple of years ago in Florida and somehow we started to talk about CS, the driver is from turkey, he said he hasnt play in year but his favorite player is Xantares since he was in Space Soldiers, I had to look it up... he was also sad because there wasnt a turkish team anymore, he said they were considered celebrities long ago, I hope he is sitting somewhere watching EF and Xantares demolish most of tier1 teams.
Even though Xantares was shit today, EF managed to get the win over a somewhat decent G2 team. So, it's not all about Xantares when Ef win, unlike what those casters are saying. Just accept that EF is a damn good team and put some respect on their name.

It was a very competitive match. The balance of power was almost neck and neck G2 is a very strong team, there are very good players. I watched the match with bated breath. It was an enjoyable match I hope we will watch an enjoyable match in the final. good game G2

Give them some time. It was the first tournament with the new G2 line up and they already qualified to the semi-final. They need some practice and they will be winning tournaments ;)
People mocked hooxi because he couldnt frag in games and bringing in a fragger IGL , and somehow Snax does worse . This is why G2 won few LAN events last year but other teams still consider NAVI, Vitality, Spirit, and even MOUZ a stronger team than them, probably the strongest team with least presence right now lol.
Actually G2 with Snax achieved more in 6 months than Hooxi in 1 year in this rooster. Idk why people critisize so much Snax. Ok he has some problems with indivual play but even though, G2 under his lead is a much stronger team. Give him more time to stabilize the teamwork and tactics and you'll see that he will perform better individually ;)
Hunter has really stepped up after Niko left. Such an underrated player. G2 definitely going to be a tough opponent in the coming season , lets just give time for heavygod to settle in .

Xantares clearly had an off game - compare his performance today to yesterday's when he singlehandedly destroyed Vitality's asses with his inhuman reflexes - and despite that, they still won! The Wikipedia and Dota additions to the roster are clearly paying off. Remember when they had Imorr on the squad and he was switching between rifling, awping, and igl'ing lmao. Secondly, the team looks a lot more structured, although I do question maj3r's troll calling from time to time - guys keep rushing B 6 rounds in a row, we'll get there eventually xD The funny part, is that it actually works. They gaslit G2 on anubis hard. Thirdly, it seems that malbs not only inherited niko's positions but also his choking proclivities. Goes absolutely nuclear on Dust 2, and vanishes into thin air on nuke. Hello? I guess he will require time to adjust, because he's clearly talented mechanically, but he didn't show up today when it mattered in the decider. Fourthly, has anyone else noticed that with the disappearance of the main Kovac, the second Kovac started playing better? In every match? Coincidence? I think not. Fingers crossed, Xantares gets his form back tomorrow and if we're lucky we'll be blessed with a donk vs xantares match (assuming NaVi don't win, which they very well might), and it's going to be a fun one! Any link to the interview? It seems G2 always seems to have a coach/IGL issue. The fact they couldnt win a major with monesy and NiKo on the roster makes me think there is something wrong with the strats, calling, or chemistry

Snax basically admitted that he had no idea wtf Malbs was up to on Ancient when they played against Big (when Big was absolutely destroying them), and on inferno, when he called the save, the team said they'd go for the bombsite anyway despite very little time remaining, which cost them the round.

I think -Snax + Siuhy would be a great move, Snax is an underwhelming IGL and an even worse individual player. They brought him in as a supposed upgrade to Hooxi, but he hasn't shown that.
Trust the process with the EF! 2 stars from the academy team. Even though Maj3r disappointed me a lot with his decisions to play agro personally in the first two maps, I am so amazed by the firepower of Jotaa and Wicadia. This is not the best performance of the Eternal Fire but it's an amazing win to advance to the grand final in their first tournament with the new squad. GO EF!

When I saw the announcers supporting Altan G2 by claiming that snax was not on a good day, I vomited my hatred. They did not respect the Ef team, but xantares was not on his day either, and despite that, G2 destroyed the vile blast announcers.
Hard to win games 4v5 ... Respect for snax for what he has done in his career but G2 need a new IGL.. Snax getting old and his calls are all based on Aim. No structure at all like NAVI or SPIRIT.
its mainly due to good team coordination and insane firepower. when you have someone like xantares in your roster you can create chances at breaking holds and he proved everyone wrong by performing on lan now so it is a well deserved recognition on the main stage and as a Turkish fan i am really proud of them.
dont know what is the commotion about G2 all about. do they need to remove player(s) every time they lose? new lineup may need time to peek. obviously, there is no doubt that EF playing a very good game. the fact G2 able too make it very competitive 11-13, 12-9, 10-13 with new changes in roster is not that bad. it could be the other way around.

Niko at Heavygods age was no 4 on the hltv list. that's discounting 4 more hltv rankings before 2020 including a no 2 hltv ranking and 3 hltv ranking. Niko is the greatest rifler in cs history with the longest hltv ranking, only donk is in the making to be close to Niko, but he needs to maintain his level for 10 more years to surpass.

Holding is easy. Thats why many teams good at ct but EF is better at t-side. Its quite difficult to achieve that.
its mainly due to good team coordination and insane firepower. when you have someone like xantares in your roster you can create chances at breaking holds and he proved everyone wrong by performing on lan now so it is a well deserved recognition on the main stage and as a Turkish fan i am really proud of them.

dont know what is the commotion about G2 all about. do they need to remove player(s) every time they lose? new lineup may need time to peek. obviously, there is no doubt that EF playing a very good game. the fact G2 able too make it very competitive 11-13, 12-9, 10-13 with new changes in roster is not that bad. it could be the other way around.

Malbs was bottom fragger on nuke boi. They have positive stars on t side, they are bad on CT cuz new positions for Malbs. Some agresive pushes on CT nuke were very good for g2, this is good leading.
