  • Paneer Fried Rice is a flavorful and nutritious dish that combines a variety of vegetables, paneer (cottage cheese), and rice. Here's a brief overview of its health benefits:
High in Protein: Paneer is a rich source of protein, which is essential for muscle repair, growth, and overall body function. It’s particularly beneficial for vegetarians looking to increase their protein intake.
Packed with Vegetables: The dish includes a mix of vegetables like carrots, bell peppers, peas, and corn, which provide essential vitamins (like vitamin A, C, and K), minerals (such as potassium and folate), and dietary fiber. These nutrients support immune health, skin health, digestion, and heart health.
Good Source of Carbohydrates: The rice in the dish provides a source of carbohydrates, which are the body’s main energy fuel. Basmati rice has a lower glycemic index compared to other types of rice, meaning it causes a slower rise in blood sugar levels.
Healthy Fats: The use of Ghee(especially olive oil or sesame oil) contributes to healthy fats, which are crucial for brain health and hormone balance. If you use paneer, you’ll also get some saturated fats, but in moderation, it is beneficial for overall health.
Antioxidants: Many of the vegetables in this dish, like bell peppers and carrots, contain antioxidants that help fight free radicals in the body. These antioxidants can help reduce inflammation and protect against chronic diseases.

    Ingredients:
2 cups rice (or any rice of your choice)
200 gms paneer (cottage cheese), cubed
2 tablespoons Ghee (vegetable oil or olive oil)
    1/4 cup onions, finely chopped
    1/4 cup carrots, finely chopped
    1/4 cup bell pepper, chopped
    1/4 cup peas
    1/4 cup corn (optional)
    1 spoon Ginger Garlic paste
    1 teaspoon Garam masala (optional)
    Salt to taste
    1 teaspoon Coriander powder (optional)
    1 teaspoon Cumin powder (optional)
    Instructions:
Cook the Rice: Cook the rice . It's best to cook it ahead and let it cool down, as this helps the grains stay separate while frying.
Prep the Paneer: Wash Paneer or Tofu with warm water and dice into cubes and boil these paneer cubes with water and salt in a pan. After boiling for 4 mins drain the excess water and wash with fresh water and now paneer or Tofu is ready to use in our dish
    Boil the Vegetables:
Add all the veggies into steamer and boil for 10 mins or until cooked whichever is early
Stir-fry Vegetables: In the pan, add the 2 table spoons of Ghee and sauté the onions and green chilies and Ginger garlic paste and cook for 5 minutes. Then, add the chopped and boiled carrots, Green bell peppers, peas, and corn. Cook for 3-4 minutes or until the veggies are slightly tender but still crunchy.
Combine Everything: Add the other masalas like Garam masala ,Coriander Powder and Cumin Powder (if using). Stir everything well to coat the vegetables with the seasonings.
Add Rice and Paneer: Add the cooled rice to the pan and mix gently, making sure the rice is well combined with the vegetables and spices. Add the boiled paneer cubes and toss everything together carefully.
Finishing Touch: Drizzle some Ghee(optional) for added flavor and garnish with coriander leaves
Serve: Serve hot as a main dish or as a side with your favorite curry!
