      Money. The government gets money from countries that have caused them to leave their homes.

    Not only to refugees but Acholi community is a very welcoming family. Very many of us from allover Uganda were welcomed and kept warmly for over three years and since 1990s upto now. Every year Gulu has a good number of Ugandans from other districts and also within voluntarily adopted to families (Foster Families) based in Alokolum. Even the time of war and Ebola, they continued. God bless this community

    As an ex - refugee , my hat is off for the people and the government of Uganda , in particular the people and the administration of Gulu region for opening their minds , hearts and arms for their brothers and sisters from the wonderful people of South Sudan and the rest of east Africans.
    Life is short but good deeds travel long distance.
    Salute from Canada.

      The Enemy of the African people are sending them, they will send this people to specific places for the purpose of haulting n destroying the Unity that is happening amongst our people world wide to bring more discord n destruction for us. Radicals will be amongst them n they will remain n grow. This is a military tactic of US n Britian don't be fooled. Most of these people will not be cleared to enter US or Britian and they will remain unless the African countries they are sent to send them back thoese that are not cleared as safe there is a reason why US n Britian will not just take them when economically they can afford it. But watch n see US n Britian will send them only to poor areas devestated areas of Africa the most where insurgency can easily flourish.

    Good programme wat the presenter fail to realise is dat most of the money for refugees comes from international partner. In my opinion she is trying to create problems rather than knowing the fact.

    • @tangaz5819
      @tangaz5819 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are accepted all the same. If you say the international community pays for them, then why not take the refugees? This is called international collaboration. By taking them in, they are assisting in their own way, Giving them land and ability to have businesses is more than the west does. Some disgusting fringe parties advocate sinking boats in the Mediterranean.

      This is painful to read... I ha e grown up with Rwandese all my life that you would never no they are actually refugees. You seem to be very ungrateful. In my understanding however, Ugandans are very hospitable and yet when we try to go to other countries even those we hosted, we are persecuted and not wanted...

    • @Nolongeraslave
      @Nolongeraslave 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Actually, my best friends when I was growing up as a child were Rwandese (am in my late mids now). Their parents had an accent but the children not and up to now they are still there and are now Ugandans of Rwandese origin. The problem is not Ugandans, I think, it's the Rwandese who try to find themselves in their own community by the unfortunate method of disassociating and becoming hostile to the people who hosted them, and of course that cannot be taken kindly from the other side. Then there are politicians who gain power through creating divisions and hostility.

      I don't know why Rwandese re not considered as refugees in Uganda. They re very hostile to Ugandans.. Just bse they re Bantu group of people shouldn't give them a right to live in Uganda any how. Uganda is full of refugees Rwandese, sudanese, somalis, Eritreans, Congolese, Burundians, now Afghanistans.
