Most Ulama that go through dars e nizami system (or the darul uloom system) have to learn urdu as there is a lot of literature in urdu thanks to the rich indian muslim heritage we have. My friend is burmese and he can speak fluent urdu too. It was really so amusing to hear completely fluent urdu and arabic from him especially since he was my friend from before he started studying. So I remember him jokingly saying urdu words to us in broken urdu once upon a time.

I always wanted my mother to know and love mufti menk the way I do! I tried in the past to get her to listen to his stories of the prophet but since English isn’t her language she gave up a lot of the times so it was sad for me not to be able to share him with her. That the Mufti knew Urdu wasn't a surprise, but his command over it and it's vocabulary was !!! It goes to show the correct understanding the Mufti's father had/has that the three main languages in which almost all of Islam's literature is in are Arabic, Urdu and Farsi, and I guess knowing at least one of these is essential for any kind of serious study of Islam.
All 40 and an older lot know to speak it fluently but the 30 and under new generation don't know we understand it though because of Bollywood and growing up in London where there is much south Asian diversity. At least we know how to speak it Pakistanis don't even attempt but rather take the piss out of us. I'm glad we sound totally different. unique
@@maryam._mirza He also studied in India for some time. You need to learn Urdu to study, cause many books he studied are written in Urdu. Islam related books are mostly written in Arabic, Fersi and Urdu.

I just cant explain my feelings right now 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 i always tell my mom about you and talk about your vidoes , how you have inspired me and my sisters but she knew about you was through me or my sister cox of the language barrier she couldn't watch it herself.. today i just opened youtube and saw this live going on and i screamed and ran to my mom 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 she was watching the video and i was watching her watching you 😭😭😭😭😭 we all love you so much and respect you a lot. I gifted my sister your books MOTIVATIONAL MOMENTS cox i felt she was going thru some rough patch and she loved it .... Yes he is from Bharuch, Gujarat Kantharia which he stated my second home.
That the Mufti knew Urdu wasn't a surprise, but his command over it and it's vocabulary was !!! It goes to show the correct understanding the Mufti's father had/has that the three main languages in which almost all of Islam's literature is in are Arabic, Urdu and Farsi, and I guess knowing at least one of these is essential for any kind of serious study of Islam.

Although I am a Bangladeshi I still understand Urdu 😅 happy to know that I can converse with him someday if we meet in Shaa Allah in 2 languages.
All of Bangladesh can speak Urdu and understand it my grandparents came from Desh to London they spoke both bangla and Urdu. Not even hindu but Urdu

All 40 and an older lot know to speak it fluently but the 30 and under new generation don't know we understand it though because of Bollywood and growing up in London where there is much south Asian diversity.
