As you were adding the cinnamon to your oatmeal, all I could think was, "Looks good, but not in our house." My daughter is also allergic to cinnamon (which was also one of her favorites). Ever since she started experiencing some of the same things you described, we are VERY careful about her exposure to cinnamon. She can't even smell it (candles, oils, cinnamon roasted pecans) without getting a headache and feeling her throat itch. It stinks because her favorite pie is apple--we just make it without cinnamon now.

It's just not my thing. I'm not sure if I'll be shopping earlier for Christmas this year, but I'm thinking of avoiding the malls during the pandemic just because I'm worried about the malls being overcrowded during the week before Christmas and this year will probably be the first year I don't go boxing week shopping. Call me weird, but I'll shop in January when everyone has finished their shopping and hopefully there will be less people. I'm also thinking of avoiding the malls entirely and just going to the grocery and drug stores.
