Cricket had Mr. Sunil Manohar Gavaskar and Mr. Kapil Dev. Without them the game wouldn't have got a someone by the name of Mr. Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar. Similarly, tennis needed a Mr. Vijay Amritraj for Mr. Leander Paes to follow. Badminton needed Mr. Prakash Padukone for players like Mr. Pullella Gopichand to take up the racket. There are so many examples. We should be thankful to all these great athletes in providing us the pleasure over the years. And hopefully there would be many such gems coming up in future to make our nation and their nationals feel proud.
