My favourite redemption arc is probably Mushoku Tensei. Basically the whole story is a big redeption arc for the MC, but what it does better in my opinion than others, is that the main character doesn't really change. In Vinland saga for example season 1 Thorfinn, and him now are basically 2 different characters. I don't really like when a character becomes so much unlike his old self, even if it is written this well.
I think thorfinns redemption arc feels more natural since in season 1 he had little chance to be himself without having any friends or connections besides askeladd as well as having to fight all the time. Since he's got time to himself and new connections in season 2 we get to see him interact with differently without hostility to new people, so I think the change feels quite natural although I can understand not enjoying a character changing so abruptly :)

I like that they changed Thorfinn entirely, because I just couldn't stand every second of Bakugo's redemption arc.
