    it’s crazy how college hoops is trying to spark an old wbb rivalry! officiating was TERRIBLE tonight and UCONN was still able to pull the win. Big game for huskies

      Occasionally they even help the opposing teams player that hit the deck. I 've seen games where Dorka helped an opposing player to her feet while her teammates were running a fast break.

    Jackson committed a technical foul, she should’ve been called for it, because she shoved Aaliyah Edwards to the ground and grabbed her foot when Edwards was face down and trying to get up. Dirty play. The refs were terrible this game.

    See this has happen all year intentional to hurt the best player on UCONN. First Fudd now Edwards. When UCONN plays a top team referees have to stand their ground before the game starts. This also goes back to last year in the NC STATE game with Dorka and Olivia and the STANFORD game with Paige when Hull fell on top of her.

    idk if y’all blind or what… but you can literally see just as jackson was trying to get up EDWARDS planted her foot right into rickea’s chest causing her to react the way she reacted. uconn loves to play dirty then hide their hands and y’all fall right into it every time. not to mention she had rickea hooked at the arm.

      A token Tennessee fan gives their 2 cents worth. Edwards must be really good to be able to plant her foot in her opponents chest while her opponents back is to her and she is facing face down in the opposite direction. I didn't know she had eyes in the back of her head that had X-ray vision. Jackson should be careful coming up against a member of the X-Men, those super powers are daunting.

    Jackson is a cheap shot artist. She intentionally tried to hurt Edwards and get her out of the game. She should of gotten a flagrant and thrown out of the game and suspended for two games.

      Im a UConn fan. It was at most an intentional foul, or an unsportsmanlike conduct foul, which is a technical. 2 free throws. 2 unsportsmanlike fouls is an ejection. The ref can throw someone out if they think it's aggregious enough. Considering that she was tangling with a player, and both being thrown to the ground, both making contact, even though she wasn't trying to make contact, speaking of Aaliyah Edwards. The refs were wrong giving Aaliyah a technical.

    Lady Vol #2 should have been ejected for a fighting foul. Lady Vol #2 did shove the other player to the ground. UConn Husky #3 is an intentional foul as called.

    Whether you agree or disagree about the double technicals or who started it, Jackson took it too far holding on to edwards leg and then slamming her body weight down on it. Was she intentionally trying to injure edwards especially knowing how injury prone uconn has been this year? That’s the part I don’t see anyone talking about enough.

    I'm a UConn fan but I see where they were both at fault. Aaliyah instigated that girl's reaction, which was more severe than it should have been. Aaliyah kicked her for good measure. Both players deserved what they got this time. Some pretty bad officiating in this game overall though.

    True once the Refs looked at this!!! They had their arms tangle up before the fall... but once down Ms. Jackson was down, then the very irate attitude and retaliate physical contact was performed for having arms tangled and brought down innocently as the continuous play... Ms. Nelson was trying to get up Ms. Jackson showed the back lash of being downed.... It looked twice Ms. Jackson was showing her anger... It is possible Ms. Nelson kick her trying to get up as a way of getting free...............

    Edwards sticks her leg up first to stop Jackson from getting up which causes Jackson to push her leg down so both players at fault in my opinion.

    Both were tangled with the arms and when they fell to floor, Edwards was holding Jackson with her left leg. That’s why Jackson used her body to get away. Both were battling so can’t call on one. I think the double foul was fair to both teams. I don’t think Lobo can be fair looking at some of the calls she clearly has difficulty taking her school out of equation.

    They were both at fault Jackson trying to get up and Edward's wrapped her legs around her and Jackson pushed her off. I dont know what game yall were watching. It was either a no call or double foul like they called. After Geno whined about the officials at halftime we saw how the second half was called. Questionable and missed calls on both sides at times but over favored UCONN

      Yeah the refs started calling fouls more on BOTH teams. Check the box score. UConn got called for 17 fouls. TN got called for 18 fouls. That’s pretty even.

      I don’t know what you were looking at but that was a stone cold intentional foul on Jackson. Edwards was just trying to get up. She knocked her to the ground twice. Everybody plays bully ball with Uconn. I don’t remember Uconn EVER being called for an intentional foul in all the years I have been watching WCBB. Only way to beat Uconn is to be physical and borderline dirty. The whole world knows that.

      Her legs were rapped around Jackson because they both fell. The offensiv fouls were bullshit most of the time against both teams but here Edwards had no choice but to get up and the moment she could stand up Jackson pushes her down. That is in no way Edwards fault.

    Edwards did a poor job boxing out. UT player took advantage, which entangled them. It was when they hit the floor that both did retaliatory moves, which warranted the double foul.

      Play it in slow motion and you will see it is just the opposite. They never show an angle that shows how they ended up on the floor, but blue headband girl pulled goggles girl down as she tried to get up. I don't see from this clip where goggles girl committed a foul.
