An obstacle, is not necessarily a closed door... GOD is with you, you're not alone. Joshua 1:9 Never give up hope. Never give up on love. Romans 8:26-28 Mustard seeds. 🕊
Where I live in AZ I'm able to get free counseling once per week because I have a limited income. Maybe you can look into it too? It's not christian counseling, but it helps a bunch. But... MAN these videos have helped me so much! I share them with so many friends! God bless!
I am so very grateful for this podcast and all of your vulnerability and teaching and speaking truth in love . Blessings to you all ! God is so good and faithful!
I'm so thankful for the ministry that comes from Lisa, Joe and Jim. I just started the video and when I heard of Lisa's vision to include therapy for those who want therapy but can't afford it, it was an aha! moment. I am one of those people. I had been asking God for therapy for months, but just don't have the money for it right now. I am in tears because I realize just in this moment that He provided it for me through the therapy and theology videos. 😢 This is yet another reminder of God's faithfulfulness and His love towards me. So thankful! I wish I could perceive His love quicker!
Thank you all for you faithfulness, such a blessing to receive your wisdom, teaching and personal testimonies. I’m learning much and most importantly laughing again. 😀 thank you!
God, Holy Spirit, Jesus....thankyou x infinity for bringing these 3 precious people and podcast on my path at exactly your timing.....thankyou for what the 3 of you are doing.....PS: i'm from South Africa....we don't have this here yet....but I pray God has shown me my calling eventually...52 yrs old and learning such great lessons and transformation, which I need to pay forward.
I absolutely LOVE these segments. Keep the "Therapy & Theology" series going!!! It has been so helpful and insightful in my life. Blessings to you all! God is using all three of you in a wonderful way to reach thousands of people.
Its not just for people who can't afford but more importantly for me, at least is linking therapy with God. Because of my abusive childhood & dysfunctional marriage, I was angry with God for not doing anything & the church for keeping me from therapy due to bad doctrine & my trauma filter. With help from my therapist & your program, I'm now seeing God through attachment theory & I'm seeing scripture differently so seeing Him in a true light & I'm coming back to Him. I still have an issue with the church still but I know most people are just clueless about mental health.
As a person who can't afford therapy, I deeply appreciate the love and effort that you all pour into this show. It has changed my life. Thank you thank you thank you.
If we would just look at everyone passing us by as image bearers, but a broken humanity (separated from God because of sin), then we as followers of Christ would be led, propelled, to share the good news with them to see them reconciled to their right place with God. Knowing who God created them to be. Image barers. Sons and daughters of the most high. Loved. Embraced.
Thankful for this woman and this ministry who has helped me in learning to be confident and hopeful in Gods promises and commands for what is a healthy relationship and what is not. There is a lot of confusion for Christian women I believe and so I’m thankful this is based on biblical wisdom and lays out exactly how and why.
This podcast is huge. Thank you all for being vulnerable and even showing us what a shame script looks like. I think our shame scripts cause us to be a self fullfilling prophecy. My husband said he was always invisable growing up. But he is incredibly closed off. So then he never shares anything at all. He is so quiet and never contributes to the conversation which makes him invisble even at home with my kids and in our marriage. My kids always talk to me and not to my husband because he seems closed off which makes him feel invisable.
This is so good; Thank you! I keep coming back here because it's so full of truth, and helpful in our walk with the Savoir. God bless you all for your help, and ministry in Christ.
Y’all probably don’t take requests but I was curious if y’all might consider discussing any issues related to combat veterans? Post traumatic stress/moral injury? Of course these concepts apply to non veterans as well. 🙏🏻 My dad, two brothers, and my husband (WIA) are all combat veterans with about 14 deployments between them. They all suffer deeply. Their combat experiences and experiences with friends KIA and those who have committed suicide have only increased my passion to serve veterans. I am currently a counseling graduate student at Liberty. There just is not enough readily available information/resources (although it is increasing) for them - especially counselors with a firm foundation in Christ who are equipped to help them with their unique experiences. You guys have both theology and therapy behind you which is already 2/3 of the way there, I had to ask! :)
When Jim spoke I began crying. Lysa thank you for providing free Christian counseling for your audience. God bless you all 3. Thank you for Therapy and Theology ❤️
These are sooo good! Wish I found them sooner. Listened to way too many non biblically based things until I got here. Please do more! This is so needed! ❤️
Thank you Lysa Terkeurst for coming up with the idea of Therapy and Theology because I can't afford counseling. I listen to these series and am also grateful for the podcasts that you have done with Leslie Vernick too!
Oh my goodness, when Joel talks about how assumptions may be the sign of a lack of compassion. Conviction! Wow. I’ve been told that I assume too much and he just outed the enemy in that habit that I have. Now I can recognize and move into compassion. Wow. So good. Thank you all so much for this stuff!
Thanks you all. As a Psychologist and Life Coach, getting people to understand that awareness, responsibility and accountability are all the great fruits of life.
I just have realized that I am living in trauma from my childhood and I am 44yrs old and still am not only stuck living with my parents that created this trauma but I am having a very horrible problem with drugs. My father who has narcissism qualities and he stopped talking to me and has ignored me for years unless I do something wrong. And my mother has always said that he loves me. Omgosh no he doesn't. But I just have learned about narcissism and complex ptsd and also how I have borderline personality disorder. Just learned about it like a month or 2 go bc of a trauma bond relationship that I am in with my last relationship. I can't even get it out what I want to say. However I'm so depressed that I can't get out of it. Please pray for me.
Wow. God is Good! God is Good all the time!. Today's Encouragement for Today (1/30/2024) - talked about 'Shame Doesn't Get the Final Say'. And this morning, I got on TH-cam and this Podcast video was on my home page! God is speaking to me loud and clear - ministering and revealing in me what is not of Him. These podcasts are just a God send and always on time with whatever I am dealing with. Thank you P31 team.
People need to be held accountable for their actions. My Ex is back at Church bragging about his girlfriend who is a married Woman and no one speaks truth to him. He started the affair while we were still married. He lied and cheated during our 42 year marriage. It hurts that he gets away with it.
@@OfficialProverbs31Ministries I not only liked it, it brought healing in area's of my life. The part about the emotional abuse and how a man can play with your mind. I'm recovering from abuse. This podcast is God sent.
its interesting the analogy to dust (which makes us feel insignificant, small and even dirty) vs God's breath (which gives us meaning, purpose and a future). I sometimes still struggle with self-condemnation, and carrying the weight of shame, and it's still a journey reminding myself that God created me in His image, and came to redeem and restore me.
Thank you! Great insight, wisdom, guidance and encouragement! Also, I heard you use the word "old" a couple times in describing yourself. I read Joyce Meyers book, "Aging Without Getting Old" that has helped change my mindset in that regard. Thank you for all you are and do!
I wanted to say thank you so much for these videos. I have learned so much! They have helped me tremendously. And as your therapist said I hav enot been able to find a good Christian therapist in my area and it can be expensive. These teachings are a HUGE blessing in my life. Thank you so much!
This is perfect!! Shame script vs conviction..wow that's enlightening!! Also, physically speaking over those horrible thoughts is a constant battlefield. Thank you for these sessions 🦋

I came from a broken home. My Mother was divorced twice. So I want everything to go perfect. Can’t handle when things go wrong. Then pow got gaslighted and pushed away by my Ex while he lied and cheated with a married Woman on our street. Left and felt like a nobody. Healing now ❤🙏✝️
Thank you so much for these resources. Sadly quality therapy is only for the wealthy and that is the truth. So most of us who really really need it will never be able to speak with a good therapist. These videos will be all the help we can get (which is still limited because wounding happens in relationship so deep healing and wholeness really only comes in relationship as well).
I have what is sometimes ANGER when I’m being falsely accused. I have a response that is even shocking for myself. I’m getting better at controlling it but I have triggers I still must look at:)
The idea that so many people have about, "Well, you're a Christian, so you should be nice," is really flawed. We are to represent God to the world. Do people really think God was "nice" all the time. If He didn't agree with something, He spoke up and was blunt about it. He didn't sugarcoat or fear hurting someone's feelings. He spoke truth...THE TRUTH, in the hopes of saving a soul.
