The color on this one is stunning! I wear my Courtney every day to work. I actually put a piece of velcro under the front 2 clips and only clip the other 3 to my hair. That really makes a big difference.
Sounds wonderful! Could you please share details of that piece of velcro item you put under the front? I wonder if I can get it with the topper when I purchase it or there is another source to buy it? how does it look like and how exactly to put it? My principle issue with bang less toppers is how to hide this front (where the part attaches the hairline), as it's not sitting flat and if someone looks at you from lower level he could definitely notice that...I would really appreciate your reply. Thank you in advance!
@@orlibar8584 You can pick up a bag of barber velcro on Amazon. You clip the velcro right under the clips on the topper wherever you want it. You can also use a bit of shadow the color of your hair to help "blend" the part in the front better.
Hi, Thank you, this is very helpful! We are having such a hot summer here in Europe, I can’t wear most of my toppers without feeling cooked. Would you consider doing a video on hot weather topper tips and your best pieces for hot weather, please?
Hi Lacie. Thank you so much for all you do for the hair loss community. 💕I like your relatable personality. I just bought Courtney in Dark Caramel and really love this beautiful color as well. I like how you’ve styled it. It looks so natural in you. Can you please show how you style it or refer to another of your videos that explain how to style in this way? I would greatly appreciate it. That’s one of my biggest struggles.
I am glad I found you ! new subscriber here😭 my hair is very thin now as I’m getting older. I have had alopecia since I was 18 & my hair starting falling out. Tonight I went out and was telling my husband I don’t like how my hair looks, it’s so thinning can’t even style it and I recently chopped it off really short and decided to now start looking for hair toppers. I don’t wanna wear extensions, I don’t even have enough hair to attach or a full wig & this topper looks very natural on you that you can’t even tell.
So glad you’re here! 🤗💕 I’m sorry to hear that you’re not liking how your hair looks right now and you’re having a hard time. A topper that is low density usually makes a huge difference with very thin hair. 🙂
Thank you Lacie for reviewing a more budget friendly topper for those of us that are in the market for new hair but get bored easy, have a budget, or just don't wanna shell out too much for a topper. We appreciate you! If somebody could have gotten commission you should because I am ordering this topper with your link after watching. thank you for the discount! I posted a comment sometime ago a little angry that nobody reviews more budget toppers on TH-cam and took it out on your video and would like to apologize for that. It was wrong and I take responsibility for that. it was uncalled for. I hope you take it easy and take care.
I appreciate your genuine apology. Thank you for understanding that I really do try to review pieces in all budgets that I believe are still decent quality and worth the money. I am excited for you to try the Courtney topper! It’s been one of my favorites this summer-hoping you love it! I sincerely appreciate your support 🤗❤️
@@lacie.rodriguez I'm so glad you accept it with the sincerest of ways. I definitely do see that now looking through your assortment of videos. I have learned allot from you and thank you for that. That's so good to hear about Courtney..I just give credit where it's due and call a spade what it is 😊
I love the videos! Can you tell me what wefting is? I hear you use terms that I do not understand, maybe you can clarify some of the terminology and what that means? I can see what you mean by curtain bangs; where are the layers, on the whole piece? Do any of these come in 150% density? Thank you for all you do for us!
Thank you! Wefting means that it was sewn with a machine. ☺️ in the cap and through out the hair in the root you’ll see “tracks”. They’re unnoticeable! Uniwgs has 130 percent in density, but I haven’t seen 150. Curtain bangs would just be in the front for face framing and the layers would be all through out. 🙂
Lacie, I bought the Courtney Upgraded topper.. I don’t have enough hair of my own to blend the front into my own hair.. I feel like the topper doesn’t sit flat in front on forehead. I’ve washed and dried it a few times and I curl it. Do you have any suggestions? Should I add a comb to the front? I am also nervous about clips and breakage.
I've ordered my very first topper. I have watched several of your videos and love how honest you are and how compassionate you are with your subscribers. I'm really nervous that I won't be able to get my topper to look natural like you do. I did watch the video of you, your mom and your sister from start to finish. I think it's wonderful how close you seem with your family. I want this to work so much. I was wondering, since I've only just begun this journey, can you be reached via a phone call or DM or messaging with questions once my topper arrives? I have so many questions and like I said, I'm just nervous about this process. I've worn hair extensions for years, but I'm to the point now that I need more. Thanks for your time. God bless and have a very Happy Holiday Season. Hope to hear from you....Cathy
Congrats Cathy! Toppers are such a great option. 🤗 I’m glad to hear that the videos have been encouraging. Aw, thank you. I absolutely love my fam. Of course! Feel free to dm me on Instagram and I also do consults. You can find the link to book a consult in my insta bio if you choose to do so. Happy holidays! 🥰💕
My first topper ever was a Uniwig Claire- it was by far my favorite piece. I think their toppers are overall very good. I have purchased upward to $1000 hair toppers and honestly not worth it to me. Claire to me was my favorite and a ton cheaper too. IMHO
Hi Lacie! Thank you so much for your videos. My hair keeps getting thinner and thinner. How do you get a consult with you on what topper would be the best?
Thank you for all of your help. All of your information has been super informative. I have purchased a couple of uniwigs toppers and I think they are really great. I am going to be taking them to my stylist to style them for me. Your seem to sit really flat on your head. I feel like the hair is very dense at the top, will it help to get the hair thinned out and layers cut into it? To reduce some of the bulk?
Definitely get some layers! Be careful when you have your stylist thin it though-you don’t want to have them take thinning shears to the root area. Only about mid shaft down, or use point cutting to debulk it. You can’t do much about there being too much hair coming out of the cap but having it layered and thinned out toward the ends should still help a lot 🙌🏼
Heya Lacie! You suggested the UniWigs to me on another one of your videos when I asked for something more affordable. I love this exact one you have chosen. I think the color would work best for me as well. Which exact color and part did you choose? And did you curl or style it yourself? I noticed that the same wig looks completely different on each model. Is that because they styled it those ways or that is how each color comes? I like the way yours looks!! It looks exactly like the dark caramel looks on the mannequin head on the website. The rest of the colors are real models and I’m not a fan of those styles. I prefer the way yours lays pretty naturally with some light wave. Thank you!
This is the color Mousse Brown, right part, and 16” length. My stylist cut it for me-gave it some longer curtain bangs and layers. I styled it with some beachy waves. And yes, you’re right. Every person styles it differently, gets it cut differently, etc. so it’s going to look a little different on each model 👍🏼
Hi! Thanks for your review! I am not sure how to tell if I part my hair right or left. I part my hair on the right side but the hair goes towards the left so I’m not sure if that is considered right or left part. Do you know? Thank you!
Hi Lacie, first off, thank you so much for your videos! I have been binge watching a bunch of different videos on hair toppers and find that yours are the most helpful. I have also been comforted by the fact that there are so many other women going through this and that I am not alone. I have been recently diagnosed with adrogenetic alopecia and my hair loss at this point is still manageable through extensions, powders and hair fibers. However, I'd like to invest in a hair topper so that I can start giving my hair time off from coloring and styling as I realize that this may cause further stress on my hair and make it fall out faster. I've watched many of your reviews and right now I am leaning towards the Uniwigs Courtney. I watched both your videos on the Lauryn Ashtyn Full Volume topper and wanted to know which you think is a better option considering quality, comfort, price and just an overall a better value? Thanks!
I’m so glad you’re here and feel seen, Terri! Hair toppers are such a great option to give our bio hair a break for sure. Courtney from Uniwigs is a great affordable option. They don’t typically last as long, about 2 years. Lauryn Ashton’s are a silk tops, so they will have more hair/density. I do consults as well where I’m able to pick a few toppers out for clients and research what best suits them. However, I can definitely try my best to answer any questions you may have on here! There are just many factors to recommending a certain topper to someone without seeing the shape of the head, forehead, color hair, thinning areas, etc. ☺️
@@lacie.rodriguez So nice to hear from you! Thanks so much for your feedback. I didn't know shape of head and forehead were considerations. My head and forehead are on the smaller side. Wondering if Courtney would still be a good option for me? I'm not quite ready to wear a high density topper so I think I'll hold off on the Lauryn Ashton. Also, I'd like to see how things go with a more budget friendly option before making a bigger investment. Hi Lacie! I am planning to order this kind of topper and I haven’t use any toppers in my entire life since I have the same thinning as you have. I have a question, is the scar tape that you put on, will it not damage the topper when I decided to take out the tape?
Hello there, I’m totally new in topper world. May I ask if it is comfortable to wear it all day / every day? Or is it just occasional thing you can wear for few hours? Thanks for your response!
Hey! For years I wore my topper all day, everyday. I don’t wear it as often now since I work from home but definitely, if you get the right cap size for your amount of hair loss, it should be comfortable for everyday wear!
I just got a hair topper, it's 16" but I should have gotten an 18" hair topper. My long bio hair sticks out of the bottom and doesn't look natural. Is there anyway I can thin the bottom of the hair topper or cut layers into it to make it blend with my hair? I don't think the store I purchased from does returns.
Absolutely! Lots of toppers are actually meant to be cut in as a layer, especially at longer lengths like that. A good stylist should be able to layer it and make it blend in well 🙌🏼
