Lisa, thank you for picking "Fate." This particular song is seldom ever covered by reactors and it is one of So Hyang's true jewels. This is about a woman saying good-bye to her dead husband and looking forward to being with him again in the next life. He may have committed suicide, sadly, no one is quite sure about the story behind it. This is not a So Hyang song. It is a cover, but what a cover! The original song was written and sung by Lee Sun Hee, who is also considered a treasure of South Korea. I like how the woman at the 4:43 mark of your video is looking at So Hyang with a _"What sorcery is this?"_ look on her face! Ha, ha, ha! 😳👌😉💖 You could tell So Hyang had the audience and judges in the palm of her hand as soon as we heard the traditional Korean instruments open the song. This is easily one of So Hyang's most emotional and beautiful performances. People were crying quite profusely and filled with the deepest feelings. This was so obvious when, at the end, so many leapt to their feet clapping or looking around to see if everyone else had just shared the same experience! So Hyang's crescendos and decrescendos, series of head voice high notes, and sustained notes had even the other contestants wondering if they were hearing what they were hearing. I like how one of them, the lady, squinted her eyes involuntarily at hearing them. (She had an "eargasm" for lack of a better word!) So Hyang took all of them on a journey and they didn't even know they had left their seats until she was done. Time out of mind. _That_ is the calling card of a _true_ performer who is the master of her art form. _The_ best female vocalist currently walking the face of our planet. 🎶💖🎸😎👏

There are new videos as recent at December 2021, of So Hyang, performing many of her past songs. Her vocal range remains RIDICULOUS and her breath control is still UNMATCHED and INSANE. BTW, in my opinion, no need to apologize for the brief black-out pauses for copyright purposes. I think it's BRILLIANT, and it doesn't interfere with the song at all.
Don't worry about the pauses. Do what needs to be done to keep it up. I haven't seen anyone react to Fate in years so its really good to see it up again. There are other lesser reacted to songs that I hope you do too, 'It's Only My World', 'The Song begins', Sound of Music, Disney songs, duets, OST's, so many. :D

Lee Sun Hee said this song was inspired by the kdrama Damo. Although rumour was abound that she wrote it for her ex husband who committed suicide.
