Finally, someone who shows Taoqi's true potential. I was so sick of people calling her bad when Ive used her and am still using her due to how fucking good she is. I don't think my Taoqi has ever died even once ever since I builded her.
I still believe she has some flaws but I feel what you saying. I do like her so Im going keep leveling her up to see all her potential and hopefully get all her sequences in yinlin banner.
She of course does have flaws but she isn't "bad". The only real reason shes considering bad compared to other units is due to her low dps, which can sorta be fixed with the right build. Also in my opinion she's a fucking monster in the Illusive Realm, where the timer doesn't end the run, but just makes the enemies stronger. Plus she has amazing upgrades there and can rely on the echo for dps instead.
the good thing about her is she almost can't die. maybe the tankiest unit in the game. but her dps are low compared to many others. that's why she is considered bad by many. because many don't count survivability in this game. skilled players won't even get hit most of the time.
Imagine if they made her parry mechanic a complete block just like Jianxin's skill. The shield you get from her successful parry attack could literally make her your team's sole sustain. It would be so fun to have a "skill based" sustain character where your only source of shields is to parry enemy attacks
@dokutah2480 With Bell active, skill up, and holding for parry, you have 100% damage reduction and will take 0 damage from the first hit. 35% damage from any hit during your 3 timed hits.
Finally a video showing off some great Toaqi content, this was masterfully executed ! As someone who's playing on a potato phone Taoqi is my lord and saviour... I hope mine can also shine like yours when she's fully built !

I built my Taoqi with a 2 piece energy Regen 2 piece havoc set. 4, 3,3, 1,1 the 4 cost being Bell Turtle with a defense mainstat. I am using the f2p defense sword and have maxed all her skills up to 70. Defense is about 3400 atm lol. energy regen is 135, crit rate is 30 and crit damage is 185. Need to work on that crit rate for sure. I did try and get more sequences for her but the banner kept giving me discord mod fedora man lol. I used like 150 wishes I saved up on that banner and only got 1 Taoqi 🥲 So my Taoqi is about as f2p atm as it gets despite trying to get sequences 😅
Wait, I'm subscribed. Lol! My Taoqi has been mopped by Tempest Mephis IV for the nth time now (she's at level 61). Lol I don't have enough dps though most of my attacks hit the air so... Even if I'm short on dps I still fight him just because he's challenging than the boring monkey lol. Do I'm really short though coz she's hitting 6-7k in the last hit of timed counter. The downside is I don't have the benefit of intro (I'm soloing) which is you can time and get all hits of timed counters rather than relying on getting hit on rocksteady defense state and forte circuit is hard to build if Tempest Mephis is moving a lot lol. I've defeated Mourning Aix IV yesterday with her solo and it was so satisfying haha. I'm so bad at parrying and dodging so I played her differently than most Taoqi mains. I'm glad that she can be played with different playstyle. And with successful timed counter she gains a huge shield in which I can take hits. To be honest, I don't think I would enjoy her the first time I used her. So I kinda get the hate on her lol.

@@Channfreesometimes you parry but not all attacks so counterattacks will make you vulnerable. In that instant it’s better to time your moves. Going from parry to perfect dodge. At least that’s how I see it not sure if they mean the same thing.

Does Dreamless' crit rate main stat actually work better on her than Heron's def% main stat? I think I remember seeing her skills' percentages to be based on def, but I honestly prefer equipping Dreamless on her than Heron, so I'm a bit conflicted
I experiment every weapon in every holo boss and this Kind of weapon the Heavy blade like is much more effective in parrying even just AA is easy . unlike my main weapon gauntlet its hard maybe the hitbox coz i struggle parrying but much easy dodging
Seems like a wasted stat to go 2x havoc. I think crit (4) havoc (3) energy rechange (3) def (1) def (1) would be better damage overall. She has a 125 energy cost on ultimate and 16 sec cooldown. Her normal attacks are kinda weak as they dont even scale with defense so spamming Resonance Liberation: Unmovable is a good strategy (if you have good energy rechage substat you can run more def). (also Inherent Skill: Unyielding is kinda hard to trigger on this boss due to holding heavy attack you still take a hit) Also i think its possible to fully build her just to spam normal attack. But you have to run Lingering Tunes 5 pc with Crit rate (4) Atk (3) Havoc (3) Atk (1) Atk (1) But you need to get Basic Attack Dmg Bonus, CRIT Rate, CRIT Dmg, ATK% in her substats.
@@lockedbill4942 im not saying danjin is no brainer. it just taoqi are harder to use. she scale with def and got slow animation. in the future there will likely be boss harder than hologram 6 where you will get one shot if not two shot.
Game won't give me yinlin. At the end i got my taoqi to c6. At c6 her sustain is crazy with verina. The only problem is, her low dmg because she is not a main DPS. 😂

The person never never used her main mechanic (the parrying as the game clearly wants Taoqi to based on that). Not that it was a bad thing that they didnt, but if a character cannot use their main mechanic, then it's bad game design (making the character itself bad). The parrying is borderline unusable, which holds back Taoqi compared to other characters who can use their entire kit (ie the other havocs, Danjin and HRover, though theyre just cracked in general). no character is inherently unusable but they can be heavily held back because they get restricted by a mechanic. tldr: Taoqi is a bad character because of a flawed game mechanic (her parrying), not inherently bad/unusable. If a character can't use their main mechanic, its bad game design good gameplay though. plunge parries were veyr nice :)
Seeing people building her for damage and simply just not countering, just normal attacking the boss and using liberation whenever it's available makes me anxious ): I mean, that could have been done with literally any character (except encore because she cannot parry without her liberation on), you pretty much haven't used the character's kit, just outskilled the boss and had good stats.

And yeah, i can counter the boss indefinitly, its just that ill go out of time. But at hologram lv 4 I can tank/counter all of its attacks and sustain since i have a full defense build with bell borne to reduce the damage.

Did you test the energy build yourself?
