Very cool! I'm moving from California to Tennessee. This would be a perfect bike for their!! I learned to ride on a Yamaha Trail 90 and this brought back memories. I WANT ONE.
Nice. Very nice. Tires 50/50? Stocks working ok for our uses, but I’m open to other options when stocks wear out. Have fun! Owner of VINs ending 199 & 811 in Minnesota
@@throttlecurious If you get a 3 inch on the front you need too raise the fender with a fender lift kit. You can gain that power back by changing to a 13 tooth sprocket. Those look like Shinko 244s. How do you like them on pavement?
@@throttlecurious I don’t have a bike yet but I want to buy this as the first one, but do you have to replace the grips in order to put bar end mirrors on or do they somehow just attach to the end
I must have gotten real lucky. I walked into my local dealer a few weeks ago and inquired about a 125. As luck would have it he received notice just an hour before my visit that he was getting one in a couple of weeks. I plunked down a deposit and it's been residing in my garage for the past two days. :)
@@Harloweqbumfuque noone around here are even taking a deposit anymore because the have no clue when they will get one. but i am SUPPOSED to be number one at 3 dealers. but who knows. if it was warmer i would go to Fl. and get one and ride it home.
@@Chubbydippin i found and got me one and it must have been right after i posted here. because i got it on March the 10th and just hit 2500 miles on it.i got it because i sold all my toys to build a house. but i use to commute now and that alone saves me $300 a month on gas.
Just bought one myself. Had a ride on one 55 years ago and have always wanted one
Cool, but make a video with the scooter following you with the camera so we can see the Honda with the new tires in action.
I really enjoyed the ride along!
Glad you enjoyed! More ride along content coming this spring! And getting ready for snowmobile season
Nice video, thanks for sharing it.
Your buddy is pretty zippy on that little scooter.

NICE RIDE, BEAUTIFUL AREA! TIRES MAKE A HUGE DIFFERANCE.
Nice.
Very nice.
Tires 50/50?

Yes 50/50. So far I love them and think they are a major upgrade in versatility.
It was like watching return of the jedi
You are lucky to have local country where you can ride off road, not closed to riding.
We are very fortunate to have access to some awesome spots
I need one of these
Wish you would have shown the back tire, or did I miss it?
Agreed.
What kind of scooter is your friend riding?
Zuma
@@throttlecurious And its only a 50cc(Zuma) you could see the smoke when they left. Pretty darn good!
So, you went with 3.00 x 17, for front and back? Also, how much top end did you give up? Thanks. Got mine, last Sept. loads of fun.
Yes, in hindsight will probably go smaller on the front. Lost about 1-2 mph

@@marzvoltron307 great on pavement
could you please post the sizes you went, at the start of the video you can definitely see they are different sizes
50/50 ???? What sizes?
Scooters?
What kind of tires are they? What size? Thanks
What size and name brand are they.
3.00x17 and Golden Boy
Same width as stock?
No a bit wider
What is the top speed while in normal ridding position?
Usually max out around 50 on the flats, 55-60 downhill
45-48 seems to be the most normal speed I see
How heavy are you?.. I weigh about 245lbs. Would it still carry me pretty good??
I’m 195, I think you’d be fine
Maybe you can find a friend that has one and try it out , I would think that you would do fine on it
I rock one at 220lbs, no issues. You'll love it.
Size?
Is it possible to install bar end mirrors on this ?
I don’t see why not
@@throttlecurious I don’t have a bike yet but I want to buy this as the first one, but do you have to replace the grips in order to put bar end mirrors on or do they somehow just attach to the end
Think the stock tires would have been just fine when you shoot a video following a bike with much smaller tires that look stock.
Rode the same route in the video with stock tires and can say unequivocally that the dual sport tires make a huge difference
Wow how many illegal maneuvers are you making at the beginning of this video ?
okay so I’ve been wanting my gf to come with me on some trails. would this thing keep up with my crf300l on some light off roading?
Yeah it should if you take it easy
why does my 125 seem to have ot rev to all hell to get to 44 mph, its a 2022, did they use a larger sprocket on the 2021?
At 6' 2" am I too tall for that rig?
I’m 6’2” and my knees do get sore after a couple hours of riding. Otherwise I fit fine
I'm 6'6" and ride 125. You'll love it
Are you satisfied with the new tires by now?
Yes, just going to downsize the front one a bit
What size did you use? Seen some guys have issues.
3.00 x 17
I may add a little knobbier on the rear but I think the stock front works fine.
Trails look the same in upstate New York . Nice ride !
Sick video! Answered my question. Watch my latest video, took my 125 through its first trail and good god those stock tires don’t cut it
This is not a scooter though...
i wish i could find one. but i think i would have better luck finding big foot. or spotting a UFO.
There is a Facebook group that posts for sale listings pretty regularly

No doubt. I'm on the top of a 7 year wait list. Gonna get a package deal, the bike and a iPhone 78.

I would have been more impressed with the tires if you were not being beat by a motor scooter.
Hey he is a much better rider than I am! You’re not wrong there
