After PvE came out, my friends finally coerced me into getting Tarkov the other day. And I'm enjoying it so far, I don't have time to get high level before a wipe, so being able to chill and play a game with friends without worrying about level 2000 turbo sweats is fun.
Lighthouse has been super good for me with ammo spawns. I've been running nothing but lighthouse to complete a therapist weekly that gives me a tank battery, and I keep getting out with stacks of ammo. The Chalets and the broken shacks on island have been spawning me really good 40+ pen ammo every raid. Got 340 rounds of BP in a single raid from various boxes.
I’m also not sure if I wanna share this but woods is my go to map for ammo, I’ve found so much good ammo on woods between the suppressor shack and usec camps because I don’t have access to good ammo yet they’ve definitely buffed the spawns of good ammo
A little late but if you haven't found a better place for ammo a REALLY good place for 5.45 BP/BS and other ammo is streets and reserve as they have a metric ton of 30-120 boxes.
GP coins are worthless at the beginning. But when you have the cultist circle you can use it as a sacrifice. Forgot to go down at the court and as well at the crash helicopter and exist on south road if its an exit for your raid.
Reserve marked rooms and radar down to D2 has been consistently my highest paying run. Consistently pulling 3-6mil out of them depending on my marked room and drawer rolls. Some of the marked rooms in reserve have a high chance to spawn the M60, and most variants go for over 1.2m right now.
There's a good system with light house as seen here. I've been doing this one for awhile now and 98% of the time I run this as a scav for money I'll come out with well over $2mil!! There's also basically the same system but on reserves and instead of money run it's a great ammo/parts run. But still come out of reserve with over $1mil 95% of the time.
It’s dropped a bit from like 80% to what feels more like 40-50% but they are still really common if you want to be able to deal with them effectively I recommend forcing them into close quarters either inside the chalet/surrounding buildings or in the rogue camp fighting them inside of the buildings. You can buy 12 flashbangs per restock I recommend bringing all of them and before you roll up to anywhere you have even the mildest suspicion that there might be goons or PMCs just throw a flashbang and wait for sound queues or use them to push the AI out of cover as when they run from grenades they use the sprint animation that prevents them from shooting so you can peek for free. If you have to fight them from range then good luck I have managed to do it a couple times and I have failed to do it dozens of times.
@@Grebogoborp I agree, it seems it’s dropped to about 15-40%. I ran 10 loothouses today and never saw them water treatment and saw them like twice at chalet. I found it very difficult to challenge them from the brown chalet side on the rocks. Knight actually flanked me down the road and up thru the brown chalet back yard lol but I murked him, I have no clue what pipe was doin. I’ve heard the best way is to approach from the north on the village side and sneak ur way into the blue chalet for that close quarters combat. Ya I bring 4-6 grenades into every raid for sure!
@@Newmancrew if you can go up the road with the m1128 on it without getting spotted that’s a pretty good approach you can pull knight and big pipe into the rocks between the road and the buildings and it’s pretty easy to kill them there and after that you can push up into the garage in that separated two story building and wait for birdeye to show up although he can be a bit annoying because sometimes instead of pushing you he goes up into the tree line above that separate building. If he does that then your best bet is go up to the second story and throw a grenade out the window in that direction listen for him yelling then try to force him to run by throwing a grenade at wherever he yelled from. Birdeye is always the most problematic one for me because I never have any idea where on earth he is until I hear “CONTACT” from behind me and my thorax gets pasted by two consecutive rounds of m61 0.3 seconds later

Those caches are my favorite thing to run as a scav on PVP if I spawn far away from the rogue camp because they are almost a 100% spawn and they are pretty much never looted except the one under landing stage
Always check broken boxes for random loot , BTcoins, stims etc. I found myself streets better for loot on PVE ,relax room plus some near areas, almost every raid loot for 2-3 kk low contest by ai players or scavs, ez to get keys from cabinet like mvp (cheap on ah aswell) etc. And like here sometimes boss Kollontay .
If this map would only run better. AI calculations 100% need optimization and multi threading which SPT modders already achieved. Playing with a 7800X3D and only getting 60-90 FPS with horrible frametime. This is the only map which ran better before the patch. Up to 110 FPS was possible. Now I haven't even seen over 90 FPS steady. And since I am easily affected by motion sickness, low FPS combined with bad frametime doesn't make it better. Even Streets runs 2x times better. Not to mention the smoothness. I hope we can see further improvement especially for PVE in near future
Im pretty sure I mentioned "bad frametime" (unstable = stutter) in my comment. And it seems you read another thing absolutely wrong. 90 FPS would be a beginning but I literally wrote "Now I haven't even seen over 90 FPS steady". A short dip over 90+ FPS isn't really 90 FPS. 90 FPS, 40 FPS, 120 FPS, whatever you get it doesn't mean its smooth EDIT: or is feeling like the actual FPS (that term fits better than smooth) . Frametime exists for a reason. Even so 0.1% low FPS. What do you think why the game is overall smoother now (except Lighthouse PVE) without a big noticeable FPS increase? 120 FPS on Streets is butter smooth now. 70 FPS on Lighthouse feels like 50 FPS, at best. Because the frametime is horrible, like literally horrible. I can play Streets with 70 FPS locked and its way smoother. "Turn off the FPS counter", I don't have it on except for testing and I don't need one to see the crap performance. And the other guy seems like a big troll. Just a short reminder that Lighthouse runs with 140-160 FPS if not local hosted. But yeah, 60-80 FPS (combined with bad frametime, so its basically worse) is 100% fine for a top tier CPU. No wonder so many games are running bad if people accept a average 70 FPS with a high end CPU. If you can even talk about 70 FPS, because of the bad frametime which adds on top in this case, makes it more like 50 FPS. At least that should be optimized. Otherwise it makes even heavy UE5 games with 60 FPS look smooth lmao
