Thunderbolts* is an upcoming American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics team Thunderbolts. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it is intended to be the 36th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film is directed by Jake Schreier and written by Eric Pearson, Lee Sung Jin, and Joanna Calo. It stars an ensemble cast featuring David Harbour, Hannah John-Kamen, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Sebastian Stan, Wyatt Russell, Geraldine Viswanathan, Lewis Pullman, Olga Kurylenko, and Florence Pugh. In the film, a group of antiheroes goes on missions for the government.

The Two women with the Masks are Ghost (she walks thru things) from Ant Man 2 and the Taskmaster from Black Widow and "BOB" is a VERY Special Character.
Not only do u all need to watch Black Widow. But apparently y'all need to rewatch Ant Man too!😂

The girl that can phase kind of invisible is Ghost from Ant Man and The Wasp, the other one with the mask is Taskmaster fro Black Widow. Bob is Sentry, Marvels version of Superman.

The files you guys saw in the case are actually documents on the process of designing Bob, aka Sentry. You can see different gold hairstyles, cause in the comics Sentry has long yellow hair. Also on the papers you can see multiple 'S' designs that stand for Sentry, hence the symbol piece you saw at the end of the trailer.
The symbol actually is an "S", that stands for The Sentry, one of the most powerful Marvel characters in the comics. He's something similar to Superman, but his human persona is actually a m*th addict with mental health issues, named Robert "Bob" Reynolds, with a dark alter ego even stronger than The Sentry, called The Void.
Yelena is holding a guinea pig. She probably saved it from the lab she’s blowing up in the background. As a previous lab rat herself, I can see her saving test subjects.
The character Sentry is like a Marvel version of Superman, but I’m pretty sure that Sentry is a million times more stronger and powerful than Superman.
That's not true. At most The Sentry is equal to Hulk in the World War Hulk storyline.
Nah, he’s got forms that can definitely be stronger than some versions of Superman just as he’s got some forms that outclass Sentry in many ways, depends on the writer and the story 😊

By that logic, you could say the Molecule Man or the Beyonder or even the Scarlet Witch are more powerful than Superman, which ofc isn't wrong, but you'd only ever see The Sentry being compared to Superman because of the superficially similar looks between the two...
Basically I'm saying the Superman comparisons sucks, especially because I think the original Sentry miniseries is so good and more than just "here's Marvel's Superman but he's depressed"...

8:24 Ant-Man and the Wasp. This is the woman (Ghost) who needs to be in a special room so she doesn't completely fall apart. In the end of the film, Janet van Dyne said, she would help her to stop the decay and to control her power.

Not sure if they really go this way but all the "bad guys" are send to Sentry to kill him, just to make sure how strong he is.
Sentry is the Marvel version of Superman but more like the alternative version of the comic (but there was a comic and a series) when Superman was kept in a prision his hole life and never became the strong hero. he was skinny and afraid and didn't know his real power till Batman and Co saved him.
ok, just for clarity, he's not Captain America he's US Agents now. which was revealed at the end of the Black Widow movie. It's not Captain Russia it's Red Guardian. The Skull mask character is Taskmaster from the Black Widow movie. The other woman that was phasing in and out was Ghost from Ant-Man 2. Bob is a new character and the item that they picked up was a symbol of a "S" not a "T".....wink, wink, for those that know and for others to find out.
US agent was revealed at the end of Falcon and the Winter soldier.
As a refresher for anyone, here's a refresher for the characters that we have seen in previous MCU entries (spoilers for those obviosly):
1. Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Val)
Valentina is a former SHIELD agent who has become a key player in covert operations. She first appeared in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, where she recruited John Walker after his disgrace. In the Black Widow end credits scene, she appears to give contracts to Yelena Belova. In Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Val showcases her influence in international affairs, solidifying her role as a strategic and manipulative black ops leader. By the start of Thunderbolts, Val has positioned herself to lead a morally ambiguous team, using her skills to navigate complex dynamics.
2. Yelena Belova
Yelena, introduced in Black Widow, is the sister of Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow) and has a familial bond with Alexei Shostakov (Red Guardian), who served as a father figure to her and Natasha. After seeking freedom from her past as a Black Widow, Yelena transitions from vengeance to a more nuanced role. She confronts Clint Barton in Hawkeye over her sister's death but ultimately finds closure. By the time Thunderbolts begins, Yelena is looking to forge her own identity within the group, honoring her sister’s legacy.
3. Alexei Shostakov (Red Guardian)
Alexei, the Soviet superhero known as Red Guardian, was introduced in Black Widow. He boasts about his past as a hero but struggles with feelings of irrelevance in a world dominated by newer heroes. His connection to Yelena and Natasha adds depth to his character, highlighting themes of family and legacy. By the start of Thunderbolts, Alexei seeks redemption and a renewed sense of purpose alongside the team, hoping to reclaim his honor.
4. Ava Starr (Ghost)
Ava, known as Ghost, was introduced in Ant-Man and the Wasp. After a quantum accident, she gained the ability to phase through objects but suffered from constant pain. In the film, she is seemingly cured by Hope van Dyne's mother, leading to her newfound hope for a normal life. In Thunderbolts, Ava seeks to navigate her identity beyond her powers, striving to find a place where she truly belongs.
5. Bucky Barnes (Winter Soldier)
Bucky Barnes, introduced in Captain America: The First Avenger as Steve Rogers' best friend, becomes the brainwashed assassin known as the Winter Soldier during WWII. His character arc evolves through Captain America: The Winter Soldier, where he struggles against his conditioning and seeks redemption ultimately semi-joining the Avengers after Civil War. In The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, he confronts his dark past while trying to make amends. By the start of Thunderbolts, Bucky is navigating the complexities of leadership and morality within the team, aiming to redefine his identity after years of manipulation and violence.
6. John Walker (U.S. Agent)
John Walker was introduced in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier as the new Captain America, appointed by the government after Sam Wilson chose not to take up the mantle. Walker's journey becomes tumultuous as he faces immense pressure, ultimately leading to a violent outburst where he murders a terrorist in a fit of rage. This act results in his disgrace, and he is stripped of the Captain America title. Val recruits him, giving him the new identity of U.S. Agent. As Thunderbolts begins, Walker grapples with his identity and seeks validation while confronting the consequences of his actions.
7. Antonia Dreykov (Taskmaster)
Antonia, known as Taskmaster, appeared in Black Widow as a formidable adversary with the ability to mimic fighting styles. Initially under the control of her father, Dreykov, she breaks free by the end of the film. As part of the Thunderbolts, Antonia is seeking her own identity and autonomy, navigating her past as a weapon and aiming to carve out a new path.

Hey Guys, you had two ladies with white masks, one is Taskmaster with new mask and the other with bow and arrow is Ghost from Antman and the Wasp. Bob is special, won't spoil that. The sceptre is on display in the old Avengers tower now owned by Valentina de la Fontaine. That may also be where the final reunion takes place as well as the big storeroom with the closing doors. Latest rumor is Bucky will be the leader. Can't wait, hype, hype. 👍

The phasing character with was Ghost from Antman and the wasp. The other with the shield is Taskmaster from Black Widow. Yelena was holding a gerbil she saved from the lab that she was blowing up after she took the vial and killed that scientist. Oh and when you see Bucky in the beginning notice that he has in a senator’s pin. Think he is in government now or something lol.

The building their in with Val towards the end of the trailer is Avengers tower. We finally find out who actually purchase Avengers tower in the movie. They are showing Val meeting up with them as if she is behind all this. Val yes did bring these characters together. I honestly believe Val was told to bring these characters in. I think there's someone else behind Val. Could it be Kingpin? Daredevil does come out before this. Could the Kingpin story at the end of Daredevil Born Again series continue into Thunderbolts.
Hey Badd Medecine, great reaction from you, the character with the skull white mask is Taskmaster, she is from Black Widow movie. She is a sort of a Black Widow and she can imitates the moves of the other persons.
The other woman is ghost this is her who moves very fast and vanishes at the same time.
The long haired bullet proof man names Sentry, he is instable and a very powerful character.

The characters on the team are
- Ghost (Ava Starr) (from Ant-Man and the Wasp), she's the woman that can phase. She also does have a white mask here.
- Taskmaster (Antonia Dreykov) (from Black Widow), she's the woman in white skull mask. We Don't see her unmasked in the trailer. She can mimic anyone she watches perfectly (to an extend). She's the daughter of General Dreykov, the guy behind the Red Room and the Black Widow program.
- USAgent (John Walker) (from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier), you seem to know well who he is. Super soldier and all.
- Bucky Barnes, the Winter Soldier. Idk what codename he would go by now, could be nothing, could be Winter Soldier, could be White Wolf. He's the second super soldier on the roster
- Red Guardian (Alexei Shostakov) (from Black Widow), He's Yelena and Natasha's adoptive father, and also a super soldier. He used to work for General Dreykov.
- Yelena Belova (from Black Widow), she's a black widow who now did/does work for Valentina. Natasha Romanoff's adoptive sister.

Val (Valentina) is CIA Director also used to be married to Agent Ross from Wakanda Movie. She bought Avengers Tower the scene at the end of the trailer. The asterisk after Thunderbolts will mean the name of the movie will change to Dark Avengers which Bob Robert Reynolds) aka Sentry will be apart of.
David Harbour is playing Red Guardian, who is the Captain America of Russia. He's only made 1 MCU appearance in Black Widow. He will be in What If? Season 3 when he teams up with Bucky. The two women on the left in the team shot wears mask in the meet-n-greet in the warehouse, Ghost and Taskmaster, who keeps her mask on because her face is scarred, she is from the Black Widow film. Taskmaster has Photographic reflexes. This means she can recreate any movement or fighting style she sees others perform.
Very excited for this one, and I'm happy the MCU community is in collective agreement that Marvel cooked something good with this
Wyatt Russell’s first audition was actually for the role of Steve Rogers in the first Captain America movie, though as Wyatt stated, he knew he was never gonna get the part because the audition was more of a test to see if he could act. The marvel casting director did remember him though and him coming back around for John Walker now as a more established actor was basically coming full circle. Also it’s not really about if he could be Steve Rogers better than Chris Evans, it’s more that John Walker is simply a different person/character. John is meant to be a foil to Steve, not be Steve. US Agent is his own title, own hero, he doesn’t need to be Captain America.

This and brave new world have given me CATWS vibes and I haven’t been this excited for this stuff in a long time, feels like age of ultron era

New Rockstars points out that Taskmaster seems to have been added into this scene in post, as in other angles the character doesn't appear on screen. They also pointed out that since Bucky's brainwashing had been reversed that he was using his dominant right hand to fight and shoot, but in this trailer he is again using his left hand, meaning he could have been forced back into his Hydra controlled mind state, and that he is currently a member of US congress. Also, yelena was holding a guinea pig while walking away from the explosion.

The fact the MCU has been going strong for almost 20 years is a success itself
When they first announced this, I wasnt really interested. By that time I was a little worried Marvel was going down the messy path. But this trailer showed me what I've been missing. This is what marvel needs. No messy Multiverse story, just a grounded espionage, Captain America meets Suicide Sqaud movie. Plus the Pixies "Where is My Mind" eerily playing in the back ground makes this trailer SOOOO good.🥵
Please watch Onward! It's by Pixar. A story about two brothers getting a chance to spend a day with their father for Ian's 16th birthday (he passed when Ian was away) with magic. They were not able to complete the spell, so they only have their dad's bottom half, so the plot of the story is them finding what they need to finish the spell and see their father.

The symbol that was picked up was sideways. It wasn't a T it was S for Sentry, who's powerful that a million exploding suns (Marvel's Superman officially). The phasing lady was Ghost, from Ant-Man and the Wasp (she had a different costume). The woman with the skull mask is Taskmaster, who also had a different suit in Black Widow. This is her more comic-accurate costume so I'm so hyped. Black Widow didn't do her justice and since they're going more comic accurate I hope they'll do her justice like in the comics.

I saw the theory that John Walker's shield is made of Adamantium, metal that will be introduced in Captain America 4.
This was originally conceived as a “Black Widow 2” film before evolving into what we have now. Might wanna get that Black Widow reaction up before watching this.

The Ghost was in Ant-Man and the Wasp. At the end Scott went into the quantum realm to get enough quantum energy to stabilise her but then the blip happened and it all went to sh1t. So who knows what she’s been up to since then.
In Marvel comics Robert Reynolds (Bob) is Sentry. I guess his kryptonite is that he has a dark side or split persona called the Void.
It’s going to be about Sentry (an insanely strong hero with issues and another persona). Created a long time ago. And now he’s out after manipulating reality or from Valentina (and trying to control him). Those “blueprints” and symbols seem to be data about what would make a “good” hero and perform well with the people. Like that gold S, is the official belt buckle for Sentry/Bob

Look I love Guardians and Thor and the massive Avengers shenanigans but its honestly nice to see more grounded Marvel again. I loved the variety we had at one point before everything was directing towards Endgame. I love the space and the magic stuff, just needs to be balanced with movies like these and I am excited

My interest was probably like 1-3 leading in, now it’s honestly a 7-8. 🤞🏼 hope it’s a good story, and they let us go on a journey with these characters. One can only hope!
One is taskmaster (was in black widow) and the other is Ghost (Ant-Man and the Wasp). One can separate and phase through things, the other is like a super computer who can learn anyone’s fighting styles and almost instantly replicate them. They gender swapped this character and made her an agent of a larger organization which turned people off, cool comic character they could redeem.
