This was a great review Christel. Seeing all of the comparisons was helpful. Thank you. The two most important CGM features to me are accuracy and warm up time. So far I am very happy with Dexcom G7.
Great summary, thanks a million!
Thank you for the info.
Real great content u share,
Thank you for this review.
your review is very helpful. I just put on mine but more to understand how my body takes in glucose as I am pre-diabetic I was told
Hi… I’m new to GCMs so THANK YOU for all great information! One thing I haven’t heard you mention, do any of these apps provide a way to write notes on the data points? Thanks again!
i tried it as well and i also found the readings a bit low. on the second day they where about 30 too low and after that it normalized.
however, i used it to just track the response to certain food and drinks and for that it was useful enough. which at the end leading me to optimize my diet to high fat carnivore.
Thank you for this review
I tried Sibionics cgm and bought again recently. The Cgm works well and very accurate when comparing the reading of a glucose meter by pricking your finger. A few minutes delay which is normal, as for me it was like 5 to 10mins. Definitely worth buying it as compared to US's overpriced sensors. Mostly importantly it's an affordable product and more people can use them for healthy glucose monitoring! Beware that some area may have issues of getting the appropriate app since the company hasnt launched their products official in your region/country and certified by local medical body. Some countries may have National Security Risk problems with reasoning. U should know why😂! The sticker shown Made In China!
Are you outside the US? I have been receiving solicitation emails from them but the price is in Euros and I didn’t think it was available here. Very interesting and informative video. Thanks.
I'm currently in the US, but spend a few months in Europe. You currently can't have it sent to a US address
I'm on the Medtronic mostly because that's what my Endocrinologist suggested. A young woman here on the Boobtube was with Medtronic and recently changed to the Omnipod with Dexcom. She said it was a nightmare making it happen as far as dealing with her insurance company. The American Diabetes Association is a joke if they can't even fix this horrible reality. They can't push the government to tell the private health insurance companies that they should make getting access to the technology as easy as possible? There ought to be a law! As if having Diabetes isn't already enough of a time consuming burden. Give diabetics what they need to keep themselves as healthy as possible for as long as possible. Death to the bean counters! That means the insurance company crooks that care more about the short term profits than helping to keep their customers healthy long term.
Yeah, unfortunately, we're at the mercy of our insurance companies when it comes to coverage. Especially if your endo isn't up for taking them on with you
I was prescribed a Libre 2 on May 6, 2023. It took Medi Care so long to approve it that I did not receive my first cgm until November 15, 2023. And I battled with them the whole time. Senior Citizen Medicine is not easy here in the States.
i saw one of your old videos about how you don’t like insulin pumps. have you tried an insulin patch? i use the “cequr simplicity” insulin patch. i love it. you wear it for 3 days, and it is only for meal-time insulin and any between-meal corrections. you still have to take basal insulin by pen, but that is no big deal. have you tried an insulin patch?
I love the idea of the CeQur patch. But it would have to be able to give less than 2 units at a time for me to use it (I already gave them that feedback). But overall my issue with pumps isn’t the technology, it’s the insulin. Until we have insulin that works fast, more like the pancreas-produced stuff, I don’t know if a pump will be for me. My issue was having to deal with rapid-acting insulin 24/7
They are more expensive than Libra 2 in the UK
The Sibionics App isn’t available in Canada 😢
Ask the seller, they could provide you with a Beta version app to work around the login restriction with local phone no. Mine works fine and safe!
Gm beautiful lady! Good review and ty 👋
I did same tests as you, and had similar outcomes: (Iwas comparing with dexcom G6) The Sibionics reading was systematically lower.
After 5 days, it stopped working.: no more signal. I have not yet tried the second sensor yet. I intended to fingerpick about every 3 hours to have as much data to compare them head-to-head (inserting both sensors at the same time)
Other limitation: no apple watch integration, no Tidepool integration, no integration with apple health either. I requested API developer documentation and never had a reply.
It's good to see competition though.
Thank you for sharing your experience. Interesting to hear you saw the same when comparing to Dexcom G6
20 points difference? That is a lot.
Glucometers can be that far off legally as well. 20 points is acceptable. And the more rapidly glucose is changing, the further off sensor glucose will be from blood glucose.
GOOD INFORMATION ....
Have you done a video on smart pens?
Yes, I reviewed the InPen. it’s an older review but I still think it’s a solid product (maybe I should do another one soon). This is the link to the video th-cam.com/video/cwLUiwGAkO0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=3Lrg6LbF51bytdjO
Which glucometer do you use for finger sticks.
I have 2 different ones right now. A Livongo meter which is very large and slow but my insurance covers strips 100% and a small inexpensive meter I found at CVS (can also be bought at Walmart) called True Metrix Go
try the cgm aidex linx
Thanks
My concern or caveat with all these is the wastefulness of the applicator. There's no reason the pairing code couldn't be printed on the sensor. Then you could just LOAD the sensor, lock and load the applicator. I hate throwing these thing in the recycle bin when we could keep using it.
one module from standard box shows it's quite expensive.
Thank you
Huawei watch in china has CGM option, i hope one day it will be here in N-Amercica.
Okay, I have a question for my fellow diabetics. Does anyone know if you can wear a CGM in a tanning bed. Not trying to sound shallow 😑
I don't think that should be an issue. I haven't worn one in a tanning bed but I've been laying out in the sun. Only thing is that it'll give you some funky tan lines
@@DiabetesStrong -Thank you…. I actually am not concerned with it causing harm to me or the funky tan lines lol..wondering if it a bed might cause harm, damage to the CGM. I haven’t been able to locate that info. Thanks!

Please review Aidex CGM.
So that just led me down a rabbit hole. That's an interesting product. Thank you for the heads up
❤. Tried Dexcom G7 and its good. Libre 3 not a fan, im on day 3 and its wayyy off.
What's your calibration routine for the G7? You probably said in another video I haven't watched yet.
I calibrate if it’s consistently more than 20 mg/dl off. I talked about it in this video th-cam.com/video/yjeNSKDnxUY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=v9LBM0X3NWE_mZzh
They are all overpriced based on the US inflated prices. I'll get one when $20 covers one month.
Hope its not putting stuff in your body you don{t want in it!
Your accent is difficult to understand . . you talk very fast and stumble over your words. But thanks for the video. Would be nice to listen to a more clear speech without the hurry
Thank you
Good show! Looking forward to your review of the Dexcom Stelo. One can buy insulin without a prescription, one should be able to buy a CGM without one too.
